Thanks for watching! Like I said in the video, all proceeds from the sale will be going to Feeding America's Covid-19 Response Fund: www.feedingamerica.org/ Will post proof of donation on my instagram @ Burls Art
all i wanna know is how would it look like if the neck were made the same way and glued in, in the way LPs are done, other than the reason that made it sounding that cool...i mean except for the talent
hey, i know you end up having to throw away a lot of wood during these projects so what about if over the next 3 to 5 projects you save all the scrap and cut it into small pieces and surround these bits in epoxy. then you would have a cool looking clear and wood chip guitar! love your vids btw:)
My favorite thing about this channel is he doesn't feel the need to post a video every day or week. He just builds guitars, films it, puts time and effort into every single little detail, and puts it out. And every single time I see he's posted, I run to the video to see just how much better this guitar looks than the last one, and this guitar is fuckin stunning. If you end up reading this man, thank you for giving us a behind the scenes on everything it takes to make something truly unique. It's great to see how far you've come with your craft. Stay safe man, one love.
Ron Swanson: "Wait, wait ... I worry what you just heard was: Give me a lot of colored pencils. What I said was: Give me all the colored pencils you have. Do you understand?"
Dude is an artist verging on full-blown luthier at this point-and now he’s got a guitar selling for 10 grand, which he’s donating entirely to charity. This is how it’s done man, congratulations and keep making awesome content. Hope some musicians get wind of this thing and jack the price into the stratosphere!
I mean, he gotta demonstrate how well built the guitar is and also strum on it to show that it can work just as well as a normal guitar and prob has no one who likes guitar and decided to pick up some skills himself
Jon Hovance for some reason it made me see it more as a toy/ childish and more of a novelty, but not drastically I mean it’s really good and I’m not anywhere near this creativity level but yeah just my POV
Yeah nobody has ever made wood working videos! Edit: or uploaded a project of any sort, never been done before on RU-vid. Can't believe it took till 2020 for someone to finally upload one
@Mitch i dont know if your new to his videos but his format is unique ... its not just wood working or guitar making for that matter... its seeing an instrument being made and hearing him use it in that enchanting demo at the end... i think you missed the point there... cheers anyway..
Dude, good on you, both for finally selling a piece, and for donating that money to the cause. Looks awesome and sounds great. Best of luck with the auction brother.
The background music is back! These videos are so relaxing. Watching on repeat. And good on you man for donating the proceeds for all that hard work. Gorgeous guitar.
not only a sick guitar, but a wonderful arrangement of, "let it be," at the end! Would love to have the guitar.... and the tabs for that arrangement! haha
Joe Sabella it’s actually a cover of Mateus asatos version of Let it be check that video out and I’m pretty sure there’s a couple of tab videos for it too
I love that you show your small mistakes (plus solutions). Makes the whole thing more genuine and doesn't make me feel like crap when my own DIY projects are not perfect on the first try
The video edition took another level. I loved how you used the slow motions, the sunlight, the camera angles, it's sharped as f. I loved watching your videos even if I have 0 manual skills and that I'd most likely end up with fingers cut in half lol
Me: “Awesome guitar, awesome charity. Love to get it, looks great!” *Checks eBay* eBay Current Bid: $9200.00 Me: “Like I said, the guitar LOOKS great!”
I love how you always do something new fundamentally, you dont just make a body out of whatever and throw a neck on it. Theres real progression in your vids, tryin something new. Keep up the good work
Instructions: First, make a perfect guitar Next, say there are imperfections when there really aren’t Then, take a beautiful picture of your beautiful guitar Last, play Let it Be for the demo PERFECTION!!!
Imagine being like "I'm going to spend hundreds of my own hours making a piece of art out of pencils" and then also thinking "with these shit pencils I found at the dollar store".
me: hey ive been interested in a new guitar, might as well check the ebay link me: *checks it and realizes in 5 hours the bid has gone up to $9,100* me: well i might as well build my own
It never ceases to amaze me how, you turned a block of wood in to a working electrical instrument, that is also a piece of art. I'm still in awe when I look at my own guitar.
That neck looks crazy good man! Great job! I'd love a traditional body Tele with that neck... OMG that would be sweet! Also great headstock design! You should copyright that right away!
These guitar builds are exceptional. They really kick the myth of having to have the right type of tone wood for a good guitar. As a joiner myself, I would say that experimenting with different materials for a project will definitely make it more interesting and fun. Great job lad 👍
Stumbled on to your page. Love your work! I find it very therapeutic just watching the entire process of your guitar making. You make beautiful art pieces and I don't anyone who would not feel lucky to own one of your guitars. My son would love to have one. Anyway, I hope your auction of the colored pencils went well. It's nice to know there are people with a lot of heart still left in the world!!!
Exquisite work and sound! Once I broke up colored glass jars and glued them together into the shape of an acoustic guitar. It looked really cool, I thought. But you go way beyond that little bit of creative art, friend!
Musician, artist, craftsman and just an all around good person. Building a one of a kind guitars in such a way that makes it also a piece of art, donating your time and skills crafting this beautiful ax and selling it, not for your own profit but for to help people during one of the worst pandemics our country and people have seen in over 100 years. That is a beautiful act of compassion. The world needs more heart felt people like you. Thank you for sharing your talents and thank you for being you.
