This sounds great if you ignore the fact that Scrap Mechanic hates when loose objects touch each other. They could probably do 6 before it lags so bad it's unplayable
So, i tried and i was really surprised by the emount of cubes i could have (on a flat world, on the steam deck which have a pretty weak cpu) so i really think it could work !
Coop Maze's / Escaperooms. So one has the puzzle and the other has the clues. Like the games "we were here", "Opperation Tango" or "Keep Talking and Nobody explodes"
Maze idea, you have to hit 7 switches and escape but each switch detonates an entire section of the maze restricting your available paths (maybe have a set order to switches to prevent softlocking)
What about some sort of battleship game where you’re blowing up grid coordinates of your opponent? Maybe mix it with a maze. I think the idea of being able to directly interfere with your opponents environment while not knowing exactly where they are or how to impact them exactly to be a fun concept.
Make the landmine squares smaller and even less obvious (without the need for having walls). The goal is a KOHill/Mountain: that you have to get from the edge to the centre some trophy. Landmines are placed, similarly with indestructible containment blocks. However there is a layer of blocks to hide the edges. Thus you do not know the shape of a given block. Its ok to have 1 to 3 sensors for each block, so triggering an explosion is easy.
Hmm... Cheese 1: shoot the floor. Cheese 2: blow up the tire room. Cheese 3: aim up, fall through, shoot the tanks (repeatedly) And that ladies and gentlemen is why you should always build underarmor when explosives are involved.
I think you should have added health in this game so that if you got hit with a landmine while doing the maze you would not just get lucky with landing on the edge of the square
Maze where they have to move the segments around to get to the end, like they have a bunch of tubes with various openings, and they are all on pistons that can go up and down. Kinda breaks up the 2d maze style but isn’t actually 3d.
back when he was doing coop survival, one person would have the world saved on their pc and the other person would join using the inbuilt steam friend multiplayer
