I built a Powerbass subwoofer from scratch, but made it better. 

This actually looks like it's kinda easier then it looks just have to be careful and know what you need. Not saying it isn't hard or anything just think it's cool watching you rebuild all these subs.

This is awesome and I'm glad I found this video! I just recently bought a Wolfram motor from a friend and I plan to build my own sub with it so I've been doing lots of research on how to rebuild subwoofers and this was very helpful. I too will be using a T1 basket but now I'm on the fence on rather I want to use a recone drop in or piece everything together myself as shown here. All in all I'm excited!!

You can use a iPad glass remover to spread the glue in between the cone and spider unless you like the rounded end of the hook tool. You could always round it out though

Powerbass once upon a time was pawerbase back when the captain had the biz . under powerbase xs 15 was a woofer be for its time . any who I had it converted to a 12 duel 2 ohm flat wound coil 4 layer trip flat leads to 4g leads. It. Got about 3 weeks play time . I was trying to make up 3 inches with gain and clipped it till it slinkied .

Got the same basket but with a crossfire xs series magnet and with a 2000w rms 4 inch crossfire xs voice coil and on my side it is 38mm from the end inside the magnet!!

What brand of glue do you like? Is it a rubber reinforced glue?

i have some rockford p3's that broke the bond on their spider to coil joint... i wasnt tormenting them at all ... i've learned responsibility... also have about a dozen of them that haven't shit the bed ... what do i glue it back to that aluminum cone? nothing seems to hold 😐 i've tried bullshit epoxy as seen on youtube but that's not the same as those fosgate cones

Doesn't matter what name brand subs it is bigg or small use rms not max continuous no max else on any sub you get this a blown up subwoofer. I did a recoil or re cone recline is cool and spider attached with lead wires embedded in spider kicker isn't the only one who came up with this . Double or triple spider is good or single if . Only use rms never max else it's disaterous only use rms on subs muddle to max on rms not maxed out . Say a sub 1000 watts u our continuous 1000 watts in said sub it blows rms is say example 460 rms use 460 rms . Box is important too . Never use max on a subwoofer only rms if use max use a small short short burst on 1000 watts sub . Only use rms

Exact meaning of too much max longer than a burp . If rms was used the said subwoofer wouldn't ne🎉ed a re cone . 500 watts rms . You use 1200 watts . It bottoms out or too out and voice coil is messed up . That looks like a regular magnet for a old stroker subwoofer . Only use rms not max power . Lol lol unless an Eton 11 inch . Listen only rms not full max you will blow up ur subs

If on one sub . Example one sub amp is 4000 watts but sub is rated at 1500 but on amp it's rated on that too on rms use rms on amp to subwoofer rms watts rms . Not max it's a burp . No matter how strong the subwoofer is just saying . In this vid the cone will top out and or bottom out. So since on a coil bottom out scratching heated . U name it . Or coil wire totally separated . Too much wattage. Use rms not max . Just saying
