Love the car, been building one myself. I would suggest dont beat it up. These are honestly a forgotten car. Yours, mine and maybe two other are the only ones I have seen built. I enjoy the vids, keep up the good work.
@@Rustomod my guess it is whatever glue they used for the vinyl. Either way its disgusting. Does yours have the small 10 bolt or the 8.5? I am rebuilding an 8.5 out of a 75 Camaro for it, at some point I will convert it to 4link with coil-overs
I have the same year skylark. They only came in that body style for 4 years. From 1975 to 1979 and each year is different but becoming extremely hard to find parts for. The stock 1976 grill is worth over 1k in good condition and tail lights are almost the same for the pair. I have almost 13k in a $500 car so far
I got it on eBay it’s called ls universal power steering kit here’s the link www.ebay.com/itm/364582886086?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=orgqi86irra&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Jywt-DhxTSu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
sticking to the same brand of injector pump... 75psi is a lot of fuel for a set of 19lb/hr fuel injectors "broke 3 of the 1 inch thick drive axles on a 4.6SOHC ford with that same brand pump" tho I found on a hot day the fuel tabulates in the pump causing an air lock in the pressurization gears thus needing a low pressure high volume pre-stage pump before the injector pump... if the injector pump is 80gph the pre-stage "lift pump" should be twice that. some of those marine transfer pumps are inexpensive listed as 3.7gpm "measured to be 90gph with 3/16 line" they make up to 40psi using the high volume gears, tho the gaskets need to be changed in them to work with E85 stuff after that they hold together fine for going to town every weekend for several years, still works 3+ years... fuel injector pump fuses... (those 100 micron filters really need 20psi in front of them or the pump stalls trying to breath thru it) ... so the old 4.6 ford has 7.4gpm lift pump that pitters off to 180gph at 40psi, followed by a 100 micron filter and a 255lph 90psi evil energy #044. ... 42lb/hr injectors are a bit tricky to get working without a adjustable regulator?
