For the cost of one of the cheapest scissor lift platforms, I could buy at least 80 scissor jacks from my local breakers, so I settled for just four and converted my wooden dolly into a versatile moveable lifting platform instead.
Previously I struggled positioning the heavy Audi lump in the Micra's engine bay whilst lifting it high enough to match the height of the car on axle stands. Problem solved.
