Done the same thing with a classroom full of kids on our greenpower racer (schools electric car racing series) using 2 leaf blowers and a makeshift wind tunnel from 8x4 sheets of flywood, kids learnt huge amounts by seeing the effects just a small mirror had on the drag, practical beats classroom everytime!!

Nice demo. LOL on the leaf blower. Like an old TV sitcom show, where the hubby buys his wife a birthday vacuum cleaner. They are both a bad idea; one sucks, the other blows.

Fantastic video mate. This is the kind of thing that will get kids into f1 and engineering. These are the kinda lessons they need to be teaching in schools to get kids excited about working in areas like motorsport.

Used left blowers on the brakes and intercoolers of our track car for years now, after seeing it used in motorsport of course. never used it for aero testing lol but they work a treat when the car doesn't get a decent cool-down lap.

Varun Sambi : Not Cheeky, just Pragmatic.... I got my mrs. A Miele Vacuum cleaner for Xmas a few years ago & she loved it. Still does. She’s says every time she uses it it makes her smile 😀. So this is what teams are doing now that the FIA is cutting down the CFD and Wind Tunnel time... Jokes apart I guess it was easier for me to figure out that if the air does not hit the wing and gets pushed upwards (to create downforce) it's natural it's going to ""feel"" less resistance, but this was a wonderful demostration

The kid is learning!!!,.. I'm sending my kid over for a lesson.. he can wheel a kart and I've been working with him on my own car explaining why brake ducts and aero is important with 700+hp... he just wants to go fast.. great video love how the little ones pick up our habits atleast the good ones!!!
