As someone who once worked Casino Security, your design theory isn't far off of reality. However they do want the cashiers at the back so you have to walk past everything even after you're ready to leave. You also want a large number of wait staff so that patrons don't have to leave their machines.

It was also odd to me that the cage and the cashier were so far from each other. I'm a dealer not security but wouldn't it be a logistical nightmare getting the drop through everything and then downstairs?

Been in the casino business a decade now. Watching these tables and slots be set in such a haphazard fashion made me resent my shift manager and head tech even more. And yes, Craps is the name of the game. It's a New Orleans born game based on the French word crapaud, which means toad. Dock workers would throw their dice while squatting down in a certain way that made them look like toads. Locals would call them crapauds, eventually as it became a popular game the word was shortened to craps.

Yessssss. Another casino person. Hello! I'm a dealer my whole brain was just "if you let them get this hammered you're going to need more security" XD I'm going to have to tell my husband about the craps origin. He's primarily a craps dealer when he's not pitbossing. I don't understand it at idk how anyone wins playing craps let alone deals it but I do like that the whole game can be turned into juvenile jokes XD. Come bet killed me.

@aburidhwan6277 it's a combination of things that leads to that. It takes a person with very little respect for themself and others and who can drink a LOT and not realize they're that far gone. Then security should've had them out long before that happened but sometimes they're either busy or just don't care. Then you end up with people puking and pissing everywhere. So a regular casino? And yes, IRL casinos do exactly like you did with the slots maze. They put everything, entertainment, food buffet, bathrooms, etc, in the back so you have to go past the games to get there. Even hotels usually have you go through at least the slots to get to the elevators from the check in desk.

Craps is a real game. It's probably the most complicated game in a casino and definitely one of the most exciting to watch or play. Multiple people will be betting at any time and the betting can be super simple and basic or extremely complex depending on the gambler's level of knowledge and experience. There are a number of great videos on it that explain the rules and layout and even show the game play concepts being discussed in action.
