In todays video I pull out all the stops and build a very cool start to what I think will be a every growing indoor crawler course. So many folks have been hunting for a new hobby that costs very little.. and these trucks certainly can fit the bill. They can be "desk" crawlers.. or they can crawl across living rooms.. or if your a crazy person like me, you can bring in a LOT of dirt into a shop and be as elaborate as you want. There are no limits to your creativity.. other than space.
I tried to make this video as entertaining as possible by using a variety of Radio Control equipment. Big or Small I love them all! My favourite of course is the 8000lb RC skid steer that helped move a LOT of dirt for me. I can use that RC and see every tire and know EXACTLY where I am, because Im not sitting in it. Its a great tool to use when precision work is required in small areas.

When the Losi micro crawler came on the scene ( years ago) I made an oval course out of concrete rubble. There are two great reasons to use concrete rubble. One that it offers amazing traction on the concrete rough surface and two that it is clean and you can make the course on the floor directly. @@poppygoatshomestead You could make it modular. Construct some 4 foot square beds to add or change for more flexibility on track design and modification. Move them around to make track shape changes.

Yeah liner, some Little Rock’s for the river bed bottom. Probably a fish tank heater somewhere if the area gets cold and a water pump

What I've done before is Ive used a couple windshield washer fluid pumps to pull water from the pond back up to the top of the creek and placed em in different places to make different creeks and what not. Also they are super duper cheap from a junkyard I payed 95¢ per one so if they burn out it's not a big deal or pocket burner. Plus they run off a 12v car battery that can be set directly under the table completely outta the way so no extension cords will tripped on an in case of a catastrophic failure it's not gonna short your house power out. Then once battery is dead I'd put it in a car charger overnight completely discounted from the pumps and water. Just an idea in case you guys ever wanted to try it out it works so good!

Q: is it OK to leave lipo's on Crawlers plugged in but turned off..? Will it damage the battery if its left plugged in even if the esc is turned off?

I just got my first RC and I'm loving the new hobby. However, it's the 10th scale hg p408 hummer and although it's awesome, I'm already thinking about a 24th scale truck to use in tighter areas. Well watching all your videos has given me an idea I don't think I have seen anywhere online yet. What do you think of a small course built into the bed of my step side truck? I was thinking about making some sort of 12 inch deep box that I can slide in and out of my truck. So whatever obstacles in it would need to be light weight I'm assuming. I don't have a lot of the details thought out yet but I feel like you and this community is the perfect place to brainstorm it. I drive an old school 1976 chevy C10 and once I saw the SCX24 1967 chevy c10, it seemed like a great idea. Driving a '67 in the back of my '76 would be like the inception of driving lol. Any ideas advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Love the content.Keep being awesome.

Well that's a great idea !! There are going to be challenges to overcome, these mini crawlers are really great, like I told you in your other video I'm a 1/24 fan , and since then I am one more, which makes me 8 in total 😄 As you said there are now a lot of options to upgrade them . But I find that in France we are poorly served on all the options, here we do not find much, except Amain Hobbie but the prices of the packages plus the taxes are really too high, Axial makes more choices for American countries and Canadian than for France , it's a bit of a shame 😕 Okay now I can't wait to see some crazy races in this great course 😉 I asked my wife if I could do like you in my dining room but she didn't want to, I don't understand why 😂😂

Maybe hard pack some areas of the trail, add a water obstacle a bridge maybe. There's always making it a look a like to the outdoor course. What some of my local club members have done is several of us made 5 ft by 5 ft modules we each desgined and built our own. That way we had different obstacles and could change course in minutes just but moving around the modules! It was awesome and pretty easily done. We had each person who was going to make one. Make a brief description so we didn't end of with two of the same.

Yessss!! My course is gonna get reworked this winter also. Plenty of mods for my 1/24 coming as well! Love these things for that reason. You can play no matter how bad the weather is.

Love the 1/24 course!👍 have you thought of adding additional levels up, as apposed to just adding to the area it covers? Would give you many ways of creating bigger climbs & even traps that would cause you to fall back to the lower level!? Looking forward to more on this course for sure Aaron! 👍🍻🤘

No, I have no plans on moving it though.. this is sitting on 8 saw horses. This is only temporary .. while I am enjoying the 1/24 scale side. I will have fun with this during the winter months.. but also, am looking at selling my ranch and moving to another province

It's a cool little that's for sure. Ok, I was just wondering. I just got the yellow jeep. I bought some ink pens snd i was going to use the springs to put inside the other springs on the shocks..but the were to stiff. I'll find some yet. Some of those U.S.Government black pens have the right springs i think. I did stretch the front ones out like Lyle did I'll do the rear later

Mate, I’m from the UK and absolutely brand new to RC and to your channel. I’m in the process of building my own RC crawler course (I don’t even own vehicles yet), but what does impress me is your over elaborate garages and big boys toys. Just seen your garage and got overwhelmed by jealousy. Then I saw your CAT and thought the closest we get to that here in Manchester is CAT boots. Finally, your snow. That looks amazing. We had our first snow for the yesterday and today…. It’s gone. Will probably be 2025 when we see it again. Do you have any room for jealous lodgers ?

We thought what was RCSparks going to do with all those fantastic 1/14 scale RC heavy equipment rigs now that RU-vid Gold has had it's finale. Dude, I dig your course frame. When I go wheel my 1:1 jeep, we, my 5 year old, has been collecting rock for my rc adventures (even thought we don't have one YET). We have rocks from Moab Utah, Rubicon Trail in California, Up in Tillimook OR...Even some sand from an Oregon beach. Would ya like a few stones/3-7 pound rocks from the Colorado Rockies? I can send ya some good ones for the gnar-gnar on the course

As someone stated, tunnels... I use 6" pipe for 1/24 tunnels. I've been meaning to grab scx24 rock crawler for about 3 years... But I was too scared to get into rock crawling and spend thousands of more dollars! 😂 and was too busy bashing 😃 about my girlfriend got the Chevy K10 FMS and I am hooked now. Mate would the mining industry love you. If they could set all their gear up with Rc and then have a computer work that. So many people out of work. Those greedy bastards lough at the economy. You are liven the dream tho mate and bloody good on ya. I just built a rock cruiser cause in my back yard BY HAND for my 1/10 scale Suzuki Jimny V3 4x4. Where were you a when a bloody man needed ya. I'm out there in the stinken hot sun shiften those bloody hot rocks around and your out there playen with your toys. Whats the bloody world commen to? Hello I've been playing with these axials for about 5 to 6 months... Have you had issues with the 88t motor? I have replaced 3 already. Full indoor with NO water.., also I dig watching you guys and have been a nitro guy my hole life..., I really really would like to talk to you about hydraulic rc stuff... Aaron you need to look up hbx they have a 1/24 scale vehicles with full metal drivetrain and other small cars they even have up to 10 scale cars also don't forget kyosho to Tamiya has 2 new 1/24 vehicles too and don't forget WL toy JPL JJrc and a whole other bunch of companies that make small RCs

I’m 5 months late to commenting. But, you should put a creek down the middle. Using a water pump that people use for their backyard (waterfall, stream, pond). Probably be a better idea for outside. Be difficult keeping the water from leaking out of your course.

I know your an excellent custom builder for sure! Have you seen the "Micro Shark" ? It's based off the axial 24 platform. There is also an upgrade using two motors running opposed to have a dig unit. 🤔

This is funny !! I asked you a few days ago on another video if you had considered an indoor course. Of course ( LOL) , you come out and do it RC Sparks style !! I'm on section 2 of my course, I used styrofoam and plaster cloth for my base. I made a bridge for in my first section. If your interested, here is a link. Looking forward to future updates !! I absolutely love this such a cool idea for winter anything to get yourself out of the cold, I’m inspired, can I as the axial and the other 1/24 cars they look capable, but are there any serous 1/24 option for crawlers tracked rc even 3d printed builds, your scimitar 3 d tank being perfect example, hmm that would be a nice video in its self?, maybe your critical opinion on these 1/24 and how it could be expanded on in the community becoming more serious and that drives innervation in the tech in this scale, oops sorry kinda vomiting my thoughts haha 😆
