First things first, that's not how structural stability works, Sparky. There is no compressibility, elasticity or torque. Every block that's in a continuous vertical pillar to the base material of the world will support an infinite mass. The only time that mass matters is when it's attached to a horizontal face of a block that's in a continuous vertical pillar to the base material of the world. That means that you can build a pillar out of frames and then cap it with a steel block and that steel block will hold exactly 15 steel blocks on each of its sides, regardless of whether those blocks are in a straight line. They can go up, down, left and right and the only time 'weight' is calculated is on the horizontal face where the blocks attach to the vertical pillar. Every single one of your pillars is touching the ground, making them a continuous vertical pillar to the base material of the world. Being cobblestone they will hold 8 cobblestone blocks off of each horizontal face. That means that the perimeter of your building has excess carrying capacity equal to 16 - the number of blocks between them for every row. You know that if you would've shipped that video card, I could've made this a lot clearer for you. 🙄 Secondly, a camera only uses 5w of power and a turret uses 15w. You're going to go through a lot of fuel keeping that place powered and end up having to put in a second generator anyway. You should always have a generator running into at least one battery bank for large projects, and you should always wire a camera before any circuit that doesn't have to be on constantly. Thirdly, you can and should level that weird ground by placing frames over them first. It seems like extra work but it will save you a lot of headaches in the long run.
You did a good amount of base work in this episode, really like how it's coming together! Base building or zombie crushing, it's all fun here! Keep rockin' Primate!
I love a base build, but the screamers made a good distraction. You know how much I like some zombie murder. Your stick is really amazing with all the perks. Even the armor made a noticeable difference. It was nice to see that. Nice episode lots of interesting things.
Excellent video as always! For the planting, since you are going to dig up that first layer around the base, you could assign rows or plots to give the appearance of wildflower growth like an oasis in the desert. Another option would be to do a step out from the landing pad to fill in the blank space you mentioned. Depending on what you are planting, you'll have additional colors from those to add a unique look? Just a few ideas. Keep up the great work!!
Glad you enjoyed GGS! That's actually a great idea, I've never used planted crops as a way to decorate the base, interesting idea! Will give that a go in a couple episodes for sure, thanks!
Dude, the drawbridge is kinda ugly tho!. Suggest . Use the electric garage doors, you can drive across them when they're opened. Set one door in a 3-deep slot on ground on the outside; and one on the inside of your base. 2 motion cameras, one looking in, one out. Wire power to camera to camera, to both doors. Activate on self or friends for say, 10 secs. When one is triggered the doors will open, meet in the middle (if you set them down properly); and once they've stopped moving you'll have a automated drawbridge/path that you can run or drive over.
Yooooo XW!! Long time no speak, hope you're well brother? I haven't used the draw bridge in YEARS and wanted to give it a go. I did consider the garage doors but everyone (content creators) uses them, so opted for the good old fashioned draw bridge 😜
monkey boy you need to put some wedge 60 incline ramps at the end of your draw bridge for a smoother transition for your bike. also change the duration of the draw bridge to 10 seconds to give you time to get across.
@@PriMate Ok I went back and watched those parts again. I was seeing it wrong. You might want to paint around the area around the draw bridge where the motion sensor is active. That way you or a guest won't accidentally trip the sensor. You also might want to put a line of blocks between the bridge and the base to stop your vehicle when you come in quickly.
