It always hurts listening to QT retell that human trafficking story, bc she's always so 'I'm so embarrassed' and 'I can't believe I was stupid enough to fall for it'... When it's not that stupid at all... First of, victim blaming is never the right way to go about it, but second of, that's not like a 'obvious scam' in any way. They have your info, personal details like family, your location, it's an authority in the 'IRS', so you're not exactly gonna easily risk questioning it... It's just always so sad listening to QT beat herself up about 'falling for such an obviously scam', when she has nothing to feel embarrassed about... She was almost human trafficked, and after it all she's left thinking 'yeah I was so stupid'... Like girl... Please, stop insulting yourself over this 😭. She reacted like any normal person would.

QT wasn't stupid. I would assume a money scam, not a human trafficking scheme at all with that twist. Luckily, this scheme didn't go well thank god.

Btw, the IRS will almost NEVER call you. They will typically only contact you through the mail the first time.

I feel so fucking bad for Qt- all the stories she tells about tramutizing and fucked up stuff that happens to her she ALWAYS blames herself when it is literally never her fault. Her boss convinced her it was real and fuck I would've done the same.

OMG the scam she fell for is super convincing and they were bold enough to call her at work/have people know it was happening and then do it at a federal building. That's so scary. wow.

The fact that kit has the wherewithal to mute the call and just end the conversation when the scammer started to get inappropriate is really cool

Her story needs to be heard. If there's even a small chance that other people could be victimized, and people hearing her story could help, it deserves to be heard.

The IRS isn't a law enforcement agency but a lot of people don't know enough about how the government works to know. Glad QT was OK, that's a terrifying story

Hi - please don’t be embarrassed about falling for that scam. It is not your fault at all. You were a victim in an elaborate scam, it’s not stupid you did nothing wrong at all

The trafficking story is terrifying to me because you have to think how much research they did on QT to know all of that and be ready to follow her in a car after she left her job. Makes you think how long they have been scouting her out because they saw a beautiful woman and wanted to do terrible things to her. I'm so scared of this world and the evil that resides in it, yes there is good, but damn the evil is horrifying.

I’m in security, and QT’s story is something I’ve never heard of before. That was unusually high-effort. QT was definitely targeted and cyberstalked. I do not blame her for falling for it, one bit.

Her scam traffic story is so scary! I am so happy that she went INSIDE the courthouse... the story is really convincing by the scammers... so glad she is okay and spreading awaweness.

QT wouldn't be dumb for falling for that scam regardless, but especially when she received the call at work and it was prefaced by both the receptionist and her boss taking it seriously. An authority figure/colleague treating the call as credible would make it way harder to question than if it happened when she was alone.

Lol when Kitboga said "ok super quick - you're making him super mad which is good" - was EXACTLY what I was thinking. He probably forgot to mention it before they started, but then could see QT was unsure about Kit saying "sorry" on her behalf. But her talking about the video games was perfect.

They knew QT's family and phone number and everything... that is extremely scary. Frightening. Oh my god I didn't know this story. The thing that probably would have clicked was the fact that they knew the location, meaning they knew where QT was and that already is alarming.

firstly, so extremely glad that she was not abducted and that the call dropped before they could tell her to park under the building. secondly, a lot of the time i cringe too hard to watch scam call videos but this was so absolutely enjoyable they riff off each other perfectly. best scam call video ive ever seen hands down

I'm kinda "indian," my grandparents were born in India then migrated to Pakistan to escape religious persecution, and i hate how often these types of scams happen where people lose millions collectively and it ends up making people have a negative connotation about SE Asians. This collab was INCREDIBLE, seriously it made my evening. I was smiling and laughing through all of it (not QT's story about the trafficking though, that was honestly terrifying and I'm so so so glad it failed). If you guys want to make a part 2 pleaaase do, as others have said you two are hilarious together!!

My dad convinced me a student loan scam was legit and I gave them all my info and felt dumb for quite a while until I realized the whole premise of these scams are to prey on your fear and pressure you with short time windows. QT shouldn't feel bad, and neither should anyone else who gets caught up in one, like Kitboga said, if you had a minute to think about it you'd probably realize something was up.

Interesting show. I got into scambaiting after hearing of residents at our retirement community who lost money to them, so I started a newsletter detailing scams and act as a resource person. I encourage them to call me if they get any weird messages or emails and I do a class demonstrating how scams work and what to watch out for. I really think education is critical in helping to prevent people from getting scammed.

This whole video was absolutely insane from QT's story with the IRS to the ending with Richards #2 absolutely wild

Dude hearing that human trafficking story was so scary. If my boss told me the irs owed me money I'd probably listen to them, and when i wouldve found out its a sex trafficking scam i wouldve broken down completely. So sorry that happened to you.

I feel so bad for the real victims who have to go through so much hardship because of these fraudsters. My mom almost fell for this email scam because she had used Geek squad in the past. I had to explain to her that it was a scam, and show how she can tell when something like that is a scam. Educate the older people in your life.

One thing I learned about scam victims from Atomic Shrimp: Anyone can be a victim. Just because 1 scam didn't sound plausible to you, it may to someone else. I almost fell for one saying I didn't pay my final month's rent. I was so scared that I even called my ex, who I had a restraining order against, and my old apartment complex. I was so frightened at that moment because I was out of money and no help, but finally the next day I got through to my old apartment and they said nothing was wrong on their end. Worst day ever passing by and thinking I would be arrested and have to explain to my family what happened. I can see, especially with QT's boss also being worried, how she was almost trafficked.

QT should definitely do this again sometime with an IRS scammer! We love to see sweet revenge
