Girl yes. Even worse, at my current job, there are a lot of couples working there. Or women who get mad at me for having a casual conversation with a man they like or if the man they like helps me do something. I'm there for a check, not to find a man.

Sorry to hear that . I’m a cashier and I start my shift at 6am in a grocery store. I greet all fellow employees and all customers with a radiant smile 😀 until my shift ends at 2:30. I cannot EVER justify saying “I ain’t feeling it today “. When my check is deposited every Thursday I’m feeling that .. customers are ultimately who pay my salary. Even if they’re rude I still smile because no one controls my attitude and my day . I’m sooo over that . I’m 61 years old in April and I’m a grown woman and a grandma. I know better . Two wrongs don’t make a right. I’m a black woman that speaks Spanish. It’s not my job to communicate and translate but I do it and ALL my customers appreciate me and I them. Spreading smiles and enjoying and encouraging people is a lost interest almost these days. Customers have told my managers many times for many years that they would wait 10 customers deep in my line . I’m humbled by that . If you signed up for it and are getting paid you need to feel it EVERYDAY. When I give my customers a pleasant experience it surely makes my day better. We are not all just there to do nothing and get an entitlement paycheck. I have been blessed many many times by my customers. I have almost 29 years with the same company. I signed up so I accepted the responsibility. PERIOD.❤️💃🏾btw the next time you’re not feeling it 😑... think 🤔 about this. What if you were having a delicate and serious surgery and your doctor 👩⚕️ just wasn’t feeling it 🤷🏽♀️🙄🤦🏾♀️😉... how would that make you feel or if an off duty police officer or firefighter 👩🚒 saw you in distress or being robbed or your house on fire 🔥 or the teachers are just not feeling teaching your child today . I barely get to the desk and a line of 5 people one minute after the start of the day already. I made sure my queue was clear the day before (or try to) so I be upset when they come. Could you let me ease into my day for 10 minutes?! I get mad when they get mad to the response of "Did you put in a ticket?" and then get mad again if they complain because it is not fixed with a wave of my hand. Child boo....😑

This is how I feel everyday, because you just explained my coworkers lack thereof work ethic. I believe some of them missed their calling! They spend more time in the halls at work, then actually doing work. Should have been a hall monitor or a crossing guard.

This is me. At my old job. When I graduated high school, I went to work and I was working very hard. My production for a WHOLE MONTH was 208%. That’s working like 2 people. You know what they gave me? TWO STICKERS. I’m never working hard for anyone anymore. On my best day I’m giving the bare minimum.
Guilty!🙋🏾♀️ I did this on Monday. I do it to preserve myself. The introvert in me can’t handle it sometimes. I take every opportunity I can to pee, exit the room, avoid conversations… it helps me get through the day.

LOL. That's me. I clean for a living where I live (I live in an apartment building) at night & there have been PLENTY of times when I've turned up, don't feel like doing anything. I just don't have the energy, I can't be bothered and sometimes I just don't care cause I'm tired LOL. So in my mind I make up an excuse why I'm not doing it, I walk downstairs look at the Communal Kitchen and literally go: "Meh I'm going back to bed" LOL. I turn the light off and close the door. I do everything the next night, but sometimes I just don't feel like doing anything cause there are some Feral Tenants here that CAN'T READ "CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES" so I'm like "You can't clean up after yourself, I'm throwing your dishes in the rubbish bin" & I actually do that. I ain't no Dish Slave. I get paid to clean, not to wash your dishes. Oh lawd, I clean the rooms here too. There was this 1 time (Not at Band Camp) my Manager came and told me that someone had taken a SHIT in the Communal Laundries Rubbish Bin. He wasn't cleaning it up, so paid me to do it. Oh lawd... It was still wet... I was trying to throw up but nothing was coming out LOL. Bloody Drunks. 😂😂😂😂
