I had a boss like this. My mother died and I took 3 days bereavement. When I got back she said I looked too happy for someone who just lost their mum n she never saw me post anything on FB about it so she did not believe me. Mind u I worked in customer service where they tell u to leave ur problems at the door! Had to report her to HR. The mess🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
My boss is a Gemini and he's too many bosses in one for me: Absent Andy, All Over The Place Albert, Never In His Office When He Needs To Be Ned, Disorganized Daniel, Emailing At All Hours Edward, No Communication Nikolas, Micromanaging Michael and Checking Up On Me Charlie.
My second boss was like that and it was wonderful! He was out of the office more than in, but he communicated when I needed guidance on things and left me alone to do the work I had been doing for over a decade before he came in. This third boss... I just have to pray for patience LOL!
I had a boss that did that, my daughter was going through some unknown illness and having to go through medical tests for like two weeks, my boss called me in the office and said “You need to find other means to get her to the doctor and have someone watch her”. I looked at her and said “Well, I’ll call and ask my lawyer if he can help”, Nipped that in the bud an hour later. 😘
Apparently I'm timid tammy, "So, hey, now that you're here. I just wanted you to know first of all, you're not in any trouble trouble, but I do have to get you to sign this stating that you received a verbal warning, because a guest complained about you being on the phone. However, there is good news! You got a positive comment on the surveys! So, that's an extra ten dollars, keep it up! Just, you know, don't be on your cell phone, and remember to smile, and be polite, even if they're awful!" God, I need to grow a back bone.
That's not timid to me. You gave them correction as well as acknowledged the good work they do. You definitely have the "I'm on your side" energy. That sounds like a pretty good boss to me. Next time they do it be more stern as a second strike
Listen. My boss is Business Betty. That b**** called me the day I was admitted to the hospital. They sent papers saying I'd be in there for a month. She called EVERY SINGLE DAY to see "when can you come back because we're short staffed". Really!?!
I had micromanaging Mary and dense Denise in one boss. How you trying to nitpick when you to stupid to do your own job? Like you making it not conducive to work because in order for me to do my job, first you have to do yours.
Sometimes you have to be or nonchalant Nancy because you dont have the power to fire people..if your a shift manager lol and if the boss above you doesnt back your complaints up theres really no way to have order.so you just say fck it and say the rules so no one can say you didnt and try to get along as much as possible lol

I had the Perfect Boss + Buddy Brandy. It was amazing, reported to her for about 3 years. Didn't have to lie, if I needed a mental health day, I took one. She let me work a few hours every day while on vacation so that I could claim less PTO. Literally let me take 3 weeks off for an overseas trip. Gah, I miss her.
When I first got my management position, I was definitely Timid Tammy. There were a lot of rules I didn't like to enforce and it felt that it was more about enforcing policies than educating teams and being productive. Now that I am labeled the "Perfect Boss" after a few years, I'm moving into an educator position where I won't be managing any longer.
1. You extra purddy. I adore your energy and your pretty face. 2. You had me dying! I've dealt with Buddy Brandy, Absent Abigail and Dense Denise w/ the occasional appearance of the Perfect Boss all in one job. But your Pervy Patricia was killing me! You got em all down.

I was that “Perfect Boss”! My motto was Happy Employees make Happy Customers! During that time one of my managers had the audacity to call me to the office and say I was too nice to the employees and I needed to be a bit$#! I told him my mother didn’t raise a bit$#! Years later I stepped down due to health issues at another location. Even now it’s hard not to stay in my lane when I see something is not right or a little motivation is needed.
My annoying ass boss had the nerve to ask what motivated me to keep coming to work and I wanted to say the electric company, the mortgage company, and WalMart.

I was a timid Tammy but this chick had some sort of oppositional disorder and would always come back with “don’t talk to me like that!!!”, like girl, there is no nicer way to ask something of you. Good lord.
The dean of my 1st teaching position (at a charter school) 🙄 was SERIOUSLY micro-managing Mary from Day 1, literally. I was in training reading in one of the procedure folders instead of actively participating in a silly activity (even though I was still paying attention because I’m grown & can multi-task) and she asked me to close it like I’m 12. (TF?) She planned department meetings earlier than our normal call time & reprimanded me for being a few minutes late. (Why is there even a meeting at 7:15 am anyhow?) She even constantly bugged me about switching my students’ desks from rows to groups. Luckily, I got FIRED, collected unemployment & now I work in a public school district with higher pay, a #PerfectBoss type, a #Union, a contract & a *PENSION* !
