I just performed this job on my 2003 Element which has 245,900 miles. Scotty, you saved me $340 by making this video! Thank you! Mine was the passenger side, and the window just fell in. I replaced mine with a Dorman regulator.
@Roof_Pizza
@Roof_Pizza 4 года назад
'Forget trying to repair these things'. Had a Civic with manual windows and parked it for 3 weeks at the Buffalo airport. Went to pay and the window crank was frozen but silly me I forced it a bit. I had to drive back home 2 hours with the window down in sub zero temperatures. Mechanic 'fixes' it and it fails in short time. He fixes it a second time and it fails again. Fixes it a third time replacing the mechanics that time. So, 3 trips for repairs and bills me for two of them which is of course more money than doing it right the first time. I hate walking into shops where there is no one over 40 working there.

Hi Scotty! Really enjoy your videos. I have owned 3 Toyota and 3 Honda vehicles. I have a 2005 Honda Element EX AWD with Automatic Transmission. Purchased new and now have 141,000 miles. Never had a problem with the windows or window motors. Still have original starter, alternator, fuel pump, water pump, oil pump, fuel injectors, muffler, A/C components. AC blows cold air and Radio still perfect. Changed tires, battery and fluids/filters. regularly. Replaced spark plugs and all brake pads and rear struts at 95k miles. Now I need front struts and lower control arms replaced. Very impressed with the utility and reliability and love the interior too.

The problem with the Toyota fuel pump from an Australian site........ Well, it seems the impeller inside the fuel pump wasn’t “of a design with lower surface strength or of a different design but were exposed to production solvent drying for longer periods of time, higher levels of surface cracking may occur. This may cause excessive fuel absorption to occur, resulting in impeller deformation. In some cases, the impeller may deform to a point that creates interference with the fuel pump body, which may cause the fuel pump to become inoperative”.

1. Remove the door handle cap and screws BEFORE you try to take off the trim panel on this Honda....could have broken it, you can see the trim panel pulling off around it. 2. Slide the glass up the door into the fully closed position and use some tape on both sides to hold the glass up..a couple of 2 foot strips that wrap around the top of the door frame should suffice. 3. Plug the window switches back in BEFORE you turn on the key. That's just for this car without even finishing the video. There are tons of cars that are 50 times harder than this one. Cars without window frames that the window drops when you open the handle.

At 4:30, and 5:05, I can hear the same type of birds that sings next to my house here in Mexico. I love their ambience, and I never imagine to hear them also in the USA. For a moment I thought that they where singing next to my window haha

I have the same issue with my Element but it's the passenger door. I'm not going to attempt this. Too much to take apart

Ive had to replace my element window motor three times. I don’t understand why. No other car of mine has ever had this problem. Design flaw i guess. Honda elements seem to have way too many layers to remove, multiple screws to loose, just to replace a simple part…..like window motor or starter or, or, or…..
