You guys are in a right place doing a wrong thing ... Pick your own punishment before I get to choose myself 👊 Edit: Nobody picked it so Chill and Sub - the worst punishment imaginable
@@GreedyOrange Orange with thoughts. Also I think you misspelled "jealous" in your name... Edit: Hey give me those likes! How dare you get two of them over there!
To those that don't understand (fair warning: long) Charlie's Exodia deck focused on summoning "Number 59: Crooked Cook". This card is invincible so long as it's the only card that Charlie controls on his field. Also, Charlie must Xyz Summon (dw about that) "Crooked Cook" with "Right Hand Shark", which grants it battle immunity. This deck aims to stall for eternity, as "Crooked Cook" can't be passed by unless it's sacrificed, somehow. With a monster that can't be affected at all, now, he sits, slowly and tediously drawing his and, until he completes "Exodia, the Forbidden One", and wins the Duel automatically. Edit for future reference: yes, this Deck is very gimmicky, and it can also be bypassed surprisingly easily. You can sacrifice your opponents monsters with cards such as "Kaiju's", which will bypass its invincibility as it's being sacrificed. Also, if you can negate its effects *before* it arrives on the board with cards like "Skill Drain", which negates all monsters effects, "Crooked Cook" will not be unaffected by other effects. One last trick is if you can somehow put a monster on the opponent's field, such as "Knightmare Corrupter Iblee", it will be another card on that side of the field, so "Crooked Cook" stops being invincible. Charlie plays a risky game with the Cook.
@@ChefBubbaNips there is an archetype called Kaijis which basically bypass these kinds of monsters by tributing monsters on the opponent’s side of the field. There’s also cards that force your opponent to do an action like evenly match, but that doesn’t work in this situation and are few and far between
@@ChefBubbaNips You can also do direct damage to the opponent, if you have a deck capable of that. I like to play trains, so i use the Gustav and recycle it for direct damage vs cook
@@ChefBubbaNipsPericing or Kaiju cards. Also maybe a trap card that basically makes it so no monster abilities work on the field whatsoever. Though I’m not sure if that trap card would work if Crooked is already in play?
"Spend two seconds reading." Charlie, these are modern YGO cards. You need to book time off from work to get through the microscopic War and Peace each one has nowadays.
@YeaMan Wow, I'm impressed how you smoothly and skillfully removed all doubt from your comment by saying "not a bot or lie." The incontestable defense
@@newlineschannel It's an Effect Monster card. It says that if you have Exodia's Head, Right Arm of the Forbidden One, Left Arm of the Forbidden One, Right Leg of the Forbidden One and Left Leg of the Forbidden One in your hand at the same time, you automatically win the duel. Basically, it's a 5-card combo that can give the wielder an easy win. Only if all 5 cards are in his/her/their hand.
Fun Fact: the Labrynth player could've used his traps on his own monsters to trigger Lovely and rip the Exodia pieces out of your hand. Also Labrynth usually plays Underworld Goddess for cases like this, but this guy apparently didn't get the memo.
I remember playing this when I first got into master duel, only ever got exodia once in a duel when it was my last chance to draw, everyone else would just leave. Such an anime moment for me in game 😂
I love to see different decks that not everyone uses, I’ve been using a dark paladin deck since day one which is a lot more common now but yeah. Love to see bls, red eyes, gaia, and other og stuff
I believe this is yugioh, Charlie’s like Favorite game Edit: to save stuff, I have no idea if this was a gag comment or something but I thought this was yugioh lol
i have a luna kaiju deck that runs astral kuriboh and i just casually splashed in crooked cook to deck opponents out by using astral kuribohs effect to make it indestructible by battle and card effects similar to the sharks
You can also banish/destroy Crooked Cook by using a "floating effect". Cards that say "unaffected by card effects" are still affected by floating effects.
Yu-Gi-Oh always had me f***** up as a kid with how many cards I had to memorize and collect just to even start… I stuck with basic board and video games instead 😵💫
“You trying to bounce my cook!? He stays in the kitchen!” I don’t know if it’s just me, but has Charlie been dropping the zingers more often lately? He’s about the only channel where I find myself chuckling out loud.
I had never known that Exodia being an instant win was literal until I got Exodia'd in a duel. I was just like "Wait, it really IS the 'I win' button?!"
Today's fact: The reason the plural of Goose is Geese (same with tooth/teeth) but the plural of Moose is still Moose, is because the aforementioned comes from the Latin language while the latter comes from Native American languages, so it doesn’t follow the same rules as most other words.
There's a few ways around crooked cook to be fair but if you didn't know you would be fighting it that doesn't really matter since you might not have any way in your deck. You can tribute it, you can use it as fusion material. Infinite impermanence negates all effects on its lane so it'd stop being immune. If you can get a monster on your opponents board then it stops being invincible. You can piercing damage it. You can go around it like with toon cards can attack directly. Could effect damage kill him if you're using one of those decks. Plus he's only trying to exodia win so if you get him to discard a piece then deck him out you'll be fine. But it's still very annoying if someone does this and you're running a normal deck that wins through battle and you don't have any specific counters.
I know this is like 3 months old, but can I say, max respect for using the gamble deck. My favorite way to screw with master duel players and most satisfying way to win
I started running a rage win condition deck that's just all superheavy samurai with the one objective of having 9 billion defense on field until I can put big benkei in then just slap ppl with a 3500 defense
