It's for rich women who can't drive a bigger RR and who like to show off their hair scarf and fancy sunglasses. The rear seats are only designed for shopping bags and hat boxes.
Yeah doug really went over his head by saying 2 door suvs failed worldwide, like the range rover, defender and discovery were hits in Europe, Toyota still sold a 2 door version of the land cruiser here until the new version came out. Where I live, most of the suvs you see are 2 doors only
@@lililiil244 I would much rather have a Murano Cross Cabriolet than this. It’s got a more powerful V6, better reliability and it’s a whole lot cheaper both in original pricing and especially now used
Wow he sure has a chip on his shoulder with Range Rover. He's trying his hardest to roast them. What went wrong Doug? Did you have a bad experience with them? lmao
Well, when you're in hot & humid Miami and don't want to have visible sweat stains on your shirt in the first 10 minutes of your day...you wear an undershirt.
are you serious? that would make me MORE excited to see it on youtube. having a car that you like, that other people don't like is a rare pleasure.... now where are my PT cruiser keys?
I'm sure the owner of the "suv" is well aware of the vehicles downfalls. Although the owner may still love the vehicle him/herself. I mean come on, it's a 4-cylinder suv with unimpressive acceleration, probably similar to that of a newer rav-4. It costs $65,000 to $70,000 It's an suv that's doesn't have much storage capacity, and has comically cramped back seats. I'm sure the owner would expect a roast like this.
Yes they are. In the other gaps, the background is white. But where you're looking the background color is black so it looks like the gap is offset 1/2" inch. It's still a horrible product but the fender and the door are inline. There's an optical illusion created by that black styling insert.
You can't say the Bronco and Wrangler failed. They are some of the most successful cars in US history. Just because something goes away doesn't mean it fails. Example: Firebird, DeVille, Town Car, original taurus, model T, etc. etc.
I was thinking Blazer/Bronco/Wrangler. Those platforms had a heckuva long run. Basically 30 year run in some instances. We could point out that Station Wagons are a failure using DougLogic(TM).
I think he's saying they failed in comparison to their 4-door counterparts. The wrangler 4-doors are selling more than the 2-doors. And the other cars you mentioned sold more 4-doors too. It's not necessarily a failure... But the car companies are watching the 2-door sales a bit more closely
John Thomas all the other cars I mentioned were just examples of cars that used to sell well and don't exist anymore. The bronco never had a 4 door. He is saying all 2 door SUVs are failures because people don't sell them anymore. That is flawed logic.
I3iGZ3U5 Absolutely right. Like the Grand Wagoneer, and especially the Town Car. Own an 04 TC and it's the best car I've owned other than the Grand Wagoneer
I want to see Doug do a review on a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Many people use them as their daily's considering they are super reliable and parts are cheap. Plus it is an icon in American Automobiles since everyone knows what they look like.
They are terrible on gas yes, but the main reason I think people like them is the fact that it's a Crown Vic, it is such a badass car that is so reliable that people who get it don't care much about gas
I'd personnaly say it's an icon and the last of its kind. It was a new car, with old technology, but it felt so damn good. 4.6 V8, 4 speed auto, rear-wheel drive, body on frame, insanely big and long and ridiculously spacious in the cabin. It simply has a particular soul to it, I personnaly love it but I can surely see its flaws
I have an Aston Martin DB12 volante, Cayenne Turbo Hybrid, F150 Raptor, and finally, I have this. This Range Rover gets more attention and starts more conversations than the other three combined.
I owned a 2001 BMW 330ci and it was basically undriveable in New York City because the suspension was so stiff. A convertible with higher ride height and soft suspension makes a lot of sense!
kjs insaino yep I pray nothing happens to mine, I baby it just so it doesn’t blow up or make me fix something, it pisses me off how people complain about reliability, they don’t understand that you have to maintain cars, TAKE CARE OF YOUR CAR AND IT WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!!
Oh, it's nice, but it's really not a pretty SUV in my opinion, it's not fast, it's not terribly practical, and it generally seems like it belongs to the kind of person who compares shades of pink between their designer purses.
Anyone else here from Hoovie's off roading.? Doug. The type of guy to criticise this and then buy both Defender and G-Wagon two door convertibles. p.s. I was was just looking at Autotrader U.K. and the petrol models are really rare here. Most are turbo Diesel. I can't help think this was made for the U.K. market where we love convertibles. Just what you need to make the most of the 50 days of good weather we get each year.
Gowtham Oleti Lol well I guess the visibility thing is a plus due to the fact that he couldn't see out of the rear of the murano convertible with the top down. So that's why it costs over 60k , what a engineering masterpiece.
Needing a mid-size pickup truck convertible! To replace my '89 Dakota- very functional & plain, high seating position, V6 economy, and a pleasure to drive with top up or down. 7-foot bed.
This is actually what it's intended for: the spoiled 30-50 year-old women and the cul de sac is ritzy suburbs who want an "suv" and convertible because they obviously don't understand either or have taste.
