As a person who has been to all European countries and the USA, and lived abroad for a long time, I can say what is good in Russia: 1. Russia is the birthplace of the soul. People in Russia are direct and open; in Russia there is a minimum of hypocrisy when people say that Russia is a country of traditional values = rather Russia is a country of true human values. Russians are guided by their conscience - the moral law that is given to us by God.. Russia is a very reflective country. If they smile at you, they do it sincerely; if they don’t, they do it sincerely too. If you don’t like hypocrisy, then it will be easy for you in Russia. Family, honest work, justice = this is what is valued in Russia. The Russian idea = a moral idea. 2. Russia is multinational and multi-religious. Russia is very large and many peoples live here in peace and harmony. Russians are very tolerant and ready to accept everyone. In Russia, LGBT as an organization and LGBT propaganda are prohibited, but no one humiliates gays for being gay. Fascism and extremism are prohibited in Russia. There is no racism here and there is no superiority of some peoples over others (we don’t think, for example, that we are better than Asians or Africans, we believe that they are equal people like us), in Russia national minorities have their own schools and their own language, and no one infringes on them in rights. Moreover, it is important for Russians that this is exactly the case, and Russians consider this fair. 3. Russia has an incredibly cool and deep culture. Russian poets and writers, composers are a very high-level culture. You definitely need to visit St. Petersburg. But it’s worth learning Russian if only to read Pushkin. If you want to understand Russians, read Pushkin. 4. Russians are very inquisitive. Sometimes Russians know more about other countries than the residents of these countries. 5. Russia has an incredibly complex history and Russia has gone through many difficult trials. Russians know and remember their history. Russia stopped Hitler and stopped Napoleon, Russia survived a terrible civil war and the difficult 90s after the collapse of the USSR. Russia has a very large border, we are not on an island, so Russia can only exist strong. Russia needs a strong state more than other countries. Therefore, liberal ideas and the existence of several centers of power in Russia are impossible = this will lead to the collapse of the country and a terrible internecine war. Russians, first of all, want order, security, the possibility of a normal life and fair laws for everyone. Freedom in the form of freedom to sin is not a value for Russia; Russians want more freedom to live with dignity and according to their conscience. There is freedom of speech in Russia, and in fact there is more freedom of speech now in Russia than in the West. The Russian state is not “bloody totalitarianism”; electoral institutions work in Russia and people really vote for Putin because they realize the need for a single center of power for a country like Russia. At the same time, the authorities in Russia are accountable to society and serve the interests of society more than, for example, in Western countries. 6. Russia is very different in material terms, in Russia there are poor regions, there are traditional farming villages and there is high technology and the most modern infrastructure. Russia is not only a country, it is an entire unique civilization. It is impossible to be indifferent to Russia; you will either love Russia with all your heart or hate it. I’ll say a paradoxical phrase: For us Russians, our country is the only one and there is no country where a Russian would feel good except Russia, even if it was worse in Russia :)

The difference between Russians and Americans can be seen in the videos of Polish RU-vidr Michał Pater. He traveled several times around Russia by hitchhiking and on foot. He rarely had to sleep outdoors. Even elderly grandmothers welcomed him into their homes as if they were their own grandson. He also traveled around the USA in the same way. During the entire journey, he was treated to hospitality only once - he spent the night in a horse trailer. Usually, when he wandered through small towns, people called the police that there was a stranger hanging around. In the USA, he could only count on help from Poles and Russians living there. The Western world has gone savage with excess prosperity. Canada, Australia and even the USA are taking a straight path towards a worse version of North Korea. The rainbow terror is just beginning. We, farmers, want to cultivate our land in peace and raise our cows, pigs, sheep and chickens. In Western countries this becomes difficult or even impossible. I also had ten children and am old now and unfortunately watched many of my children fall into sin, from the horrible influences around them. Some succeeded, others did not. Very sad to see. My husband who was defect from age 12 (with his dad) from Moscow was murdered here as well, only for the reason of robbery. America (and Canada) have become vile places. Corrupt beyond belief. For the (nearly) 2 years that I have been living in the Russian Far East, life out here has been pleasant. I am also a Canadian, however I am not a farmer. I teach English. I have been able to adjust to Russia, and even purchased a dacha. I grew up in a small town in British Columbia, Canada and my home life revolved around family values, and the Russian culture. I am a 3rd generation born Russian-Canadian, so when I moved to Russia, it was fairly easy to adjust in terms of (language, food, culture, etc). On the other hand, I literally arrived with 2 suitcases, so I felt like my forefathers did when they immigrated from Russia to Canada in 1899. I started a RU-vid channel to document my life in Russia. The purpose of my RU-vid channel is to show the world that life in Russia (from the western perspective) is pleasant. I record my activities regularly, however I am falling behind on posting videos to my RU-vid channel. This is because I am very busy with teaching, family life, and working at our dacha. Our dacha needs a lot of TLC, so I spend a lot of my free time working there (even during the cold winter months). I am trying to post my videos chronologically in order to show how my life is evolving in Russia. My RU-vid channel is called, "Canadian Living in Russia". It does not receive the thousands of views that your channel receives. What is important to me is that I want my children and grandchildren to see what it was like to start all over again (in a new country), just as my forefathers did over 100 years ago. I think a nice bonus would be if my channel caught wind and the rest of the world would watch my unscripted reality show in Russia.

24 years ago I moved to Australia because I did not agree the way the new government was running the country. Now I am in the same predicament again. I have been to Russia a couple of times and liked what I have seen .A president that loves his country and his people, a religious president with religious people. I’m 36. I served in the USMC 04-08. Grew up in New York and Ohio (Just to give you a little background of myself) and I am glad you made this channel. So many people here in the US have such an ill conceived image of Russia. Politics here will tell you they are bad and are terrorists. I wish our country didn’t have such Russophobia. People are so quick to believe the media and whatever they shove down people’s throats. I wish I could convince my wife to move there with our kids. The left agenda here is awful. A lot of things you’ve said have resonated with me such as the debt and making less and less every year. People are also so quick to forget that nato promised not to expand more east after the collapse of the ussr and lied on the promise several times. Or the fact that is was mainly Russia who had the biggest sacrifice and put the most effort into stopping hitler. I look forward to watching you and your family’s journey! Much love from the US!

We have many large families in the south , starting with three children . My classmate has 7 children, and a good friend also has 7 children . There are many families with 4 children . A warm climate , kindergartens and schools , many children's clinics and development centers and sports schools . Playgrounds in every yard. Everything has been done to ensure that young families give birth to children.

I'm a British expat in Bulgaria. I've been here 3½ years. My wife is half Russian, half Bulgarian. If we ever felt forced to move (which we hope doesn't happen) we would certainly consider Russia. I really hate how Western Mainstream Media and social media condemns Russia and in such a negative way, when it's very clear, from various RU-vid channels, including this family's channel, that Russia is a very welcoming place! I had, similar, negative comments from both friends and colleagues, when I announced I was moving to Bulgaria in 2020. The media really does paint an untruthful picture of some countries. If the truth is be told, as many as 50% of Bulgarians support Russia, with many Russians living here. I'm so glad I had the courage, stamina, persistence and patience to relocate from the UK. When I compare my life now, to what I had in London, I feel so lucky and fortunate. I wish this family the very best in Nizhny Novgorod. The videos look very positive and encouraging and I hope many more Westerners follow them in their footsteps. It's, without doubt, a slap in the face to Western governments, when their citizens leave for Russia!
