exactly. I've always wanted to say this. they would just blow dry without diffuser/brush their hair when it is dry/apply zero products after wash and say it's the perm that's messed up?? ugh god
They try to style it the way they always styled their straight hair. Which, we know, isnt the way to go. Some people dont do their research and end up like this.
@@shanice1111 its because they want super curly hair and get the perm expecting it to be perfect 24/7. But it makes me question why they didn't watch a single RU-vid video on how take care of curly hair before getting the perm.
She got a perm to get the aesthetic of curly hair without wanting to actually maintain curly hair. You can’t just slap some water and a light oil on it and call it a day. And you can’t brush it dry. You need more than a conditioner you wash out. There’s leave in conditioner, cream, oil, mouse/gel. Her hair looks dehydrated even when half wet
She’s been getting perms for awhile it’s just her hair got damaged in the process which made it even harder for her to maintain so she needed it to be done again and after it’s less damaged
I can imagine it's not super easy to find great products for curly hair that has that kind of texture in Korea, but I do agree that a lot of people get perms or dyed hair that they like the aesthetic of, but don't have the knowledge or want to maintain properly.
@@jkjw_ That’s not how chemical use works. Each perm process strips her hair to conform it to be curly. So she’s ruining the integrity of her hair each time. It’s clear she also doesn’t know how to maintain it. If you take care of it the first time you won’t need it to be redone for at least 2 years.
If you want your curls to group together and not be so big and fluffy, apply curl cream to the hair when it's VERY wet. Dripping wet. It should make a squish sound when applying. Then let it air dry or use a diffuser attachment on your hair dryer. Be gentle with your curls until they're fully dry. Once they're fully dry, if they're crunchy, that's a good sign! Just scrunch your hair and the crunch will go away but the product will help keep your hair from going frizzy. I hope this translates well.
@@sunshine1004 depends on your curl pattern. I like DevaCurl's wave maker cream or Bumble and Bumble's bb curl defining cream. Devacurl for everyday light weight hold Bumble and Bumble for humid/rainy days that need more hold I have sharpie sized ringlet curls with some wavy spots for reference.
@@sunshine1004 Alright, so it depends on your hair porosity....porosity is VERY important don't undermine it. Also, another factor to consider is if you have fine hair or coarse hair or medium coarse hair. Your hair porosity is the ability of your hair to hold moisture. You can research to see whether you have high or low porosity. After finding your porosity you'll be able to further your research on which curl creafitsit your porosity. If you have fine hair it is better to use curl mousse, if you have medium coarse hair you can use curl cream and for coarse hair use curl puddings. Curly hair is a journey so you'll have to do your research and find which products and hair regimen are good for you. This was not meant to be this long.
I don't know if it is my first time of his first time but this is really my first time to see our Mr. RU-vidr to dress so formally.. nice actually 😇👍but in casual outfit, it looks more cool and decent i think.. this look is also nice but that outfit suits you more😁👍
I didn't know how to take care of my natural type 3 curls until college. People don't realize the amount of maintenance required to have "nice" curly hair.
No kidding. I keep my hair super short now because I just don't have the energy and if I don't spend a lot of time on it once it hits a certain length it's like blue einstein.
It looked better before they did anything too it. She just needs to find the right styling products like a gel, mousse or curling creme. But I think because it's Korea and that many people don't have that hair texture so those products aren't abundant and are hard to find
Sinceramente, o permanente original estava bastante natural.
Maybe she could try to take care like a curly hair, when is wet u put hair cream an finish it, there are a lot of videos on the internet showing how to do it and u should dry like u do with straight hair, there are videos to of how to dry. I personally don't like to dry my hair cus it gets freezy, but maybe this will help
i have the same type of hair texture and it's a pain in the ass since i live in a humid place. she should know that taking care of curly hair is not the same as straight hair. also, i don't know if it's just me, but curly hair is very precise'?? i don't know how to say it, but like you can always do the same and some days it looks perfect and others like complete trash. at least that's what happens to me lol and what's worse for me is that i have this texture and very thin hair, so I can't put a lot of product or it'll look bad and greasy
My hair is just like hers but natural. The trick is to use a curl hair cream and afterwards something like a gel so they stay in place, especially in places with humid weather.
@@lolabos9545 just curly. There’s also wavy and coily hair. And within these types, you can categorise your type of hair based on how tight your curls are. Usually wavy hair (less tight curls) range from type 2A until 2C. Then curly hair is between 3A and 3C. Coily hair is from 4A until 4C. Mine for example has a mix of 3B and 3C curls ☺️ there’s a ton of information out there on how to treat and style these types of hair based on the type of curls.
Girls, curly hair is a LOT of maintenance. It looks good because of all the hard work put into it and it is hard work. I used to straight perm my hair just for convenience and easy maintenance. But now I put the work into my curls. There is a lot of products to try to see what works on your hair. NO DRY BRUSHING. Literally everything that you do to your hair you do it while it's wet - damp. No blow drying either unless it's on LOW and cool. I'm glad she only dried her scalp :) That's what I do. Air drying or plopping is the way to go. More moisture retention the better. Edit: Reading the comments here, I love the curly community, and there are so many different types of curl patterns and different products work better for low porosity/high porosity/normal hair types etc it's a lot to have baby bouncing curls
