For what I can tell about the Sonic Boom Games like with Sonic 06 there was a lot of corporation interfere, although I don't care for the Sonic Boom games I LOVE the TV Series. For me it's fun and just relaxing for when you want to watch/listen to a Sonic Show and have a laugh. I like to watch it every so often and I really like the Sonic Gang's relationship with Eggman, especially his and Sonic's it's just fun.
I don't think I like the Boom show as much as the other Sonic content, but it's light-hearted and fun to see the characters so I'm glad I watched it at least once. But yeah both of these games, and many more Sonic games, got screwed because of too much interference during development. Which is just so unfortunate
@@NintenDeen What gets me is Sega interferes with the Sonic Games developments, completely derails the Games and when they don't sell they blame everyone else and refuse to learn a lesson.
Thanks for this! I whole heartedly agree. It is not a bad game. I think it can be quite fun for someone who does not like a challenge. And yeah, I think it would have been more positively received if it was not with Sonic and co. in it, although bear in mind it was quite broken at release, your playing the patched version. I really like some of the unique environments it has to offer, which was really missing from the series at that point. Overall, it is fun if you are not looking to play a Sonic game! Would you rather play a broken or a boring game?
Yeah everyone has been commenting that the patched version is much better. But how soon after launch did they patch it? Isn't that the whole point of patches lol, so they can fix the game? Also I rather play a broken game rather than a boring one
@@NintenDeen Yeah exactly, I think the same. Although I’ve seen some people say that the game is better with bugs, as the game is less boring that way!
I feel like this review comes from a lack of full context bein the game u're playin is more then likely the PATCHED version of the game when the initial release was HORRENDOUS like no joke worse than 06 HORRENDOUS(there R memes that still persist to this day that ALSO ENDED UP BEIN LINKED TO FRONTIERS IN SOME WAYS)! I was also there when those redesigns came out & was also fearful of wut they were even doin & well many ppls' fears were regrettably not really unfounded. In it's patched form it's so incredibly forgettable & generally unfun. In it's initial state it was SO UNBELIEVABLY BROKEN WIT THAT ONLY EARNIN SLIGHT BITS OF HILARITY! It damn near became another huge black stain on the levels of 06 especially cus of the MARKETTIN PUSH by SEGA & how long it lasted afterwards as its own entire "ERA" they wouldn't let go of until recently. If it weren't for it bein a side thing that wasn't even connected to the main games idk where tf we'd be wit this series. There were like 2 "good to decent" things bein the TV series & the last boom game that came out bein Fire & Ice. I was 1 of the ones the actually watched it as it aired on TV pretty consistently till it ended. I do enjoy it thoroughly as it's own thing for the time it lasted. I only ever played shattered crystal & dropped it cus it sucked for similar but also diff reasons to Rise of Lyric & never played the other 2. Aside from the cancellation of the show in many ways I'm glad it's over but there's a part of me that now thinks this idea was secretly "genius" & wish SEGA hadn't fucked it like they damn near always. I jus think wit the issues ppl have wit the 2 sides of the franchise the western & the jp due to oversea corporate meddlin for years & intense long lastin misconceptions It'd be cool to have a way to cleanly service BOTH sides without 1 encroachin & warpin/corruptin the other. SEGA comes up wit the most genius ideas but they fumble every time for NO REASON tryin to get to the finish line & almost nothin can be blamed but them for fuckin it all up in the end.
You know what, your comment prompted me to look into the game in its pre patched state. I find it extremely hard to believe it was actually as broken as 06 was but I guess if it was this hated then it must've been. Also 100% Sega has genius ideas and terrible execution lol
