They don't just hire anyone. The call center I worked at was super strict and you had to do tests to even be thought of as a decent applicant plus a drug test.

@@emilyfeagin2673 Asking for feedback is one thing. Specifically asking if it's bc xyz kinda reveals how little you'll listen when they gave feedback. I had someone who came in and applied. Interviewed. I thought she was great. Advocated but I could only bring in 2, and I had 2 with more experience. But was able to get her as choice #3. So if either of the 1st two didn't work out, I could bring her in. Her response back was "is it because I'm [race]?" nope, but now I feel every decision in her employment she didn't like was going to have that discussion. If she didn't like her client list, her desk location, her schedule, etc. Her resume moved from the next in line to rejected.
I’m not against tattoos or piercings . I believe people have the right to be creative, but when you have this many piercings and tattoos on your face that can be a reason not to get hired.

Your face tattoos were conscious choices YOU made; not some kind of scarring from an accident that you can't control. The choices you make to alter your own appearance are your rights, but it doesn't mean certain companies have to hire you as someone who would represent their company.

I was a nurse for over 30 years, and I worked with many, many nurses (and some docs) who had tattoos, but even if you have a full sleeve,it didn’t matter, but hell no to ANY face tattoos!

As a former teenager every time I got the job over someone more experienced my bosses always said the same things. I showed up looking professional and earnest, and I had plenty of potential to be turned into a great employee. I never disappointed

They usually want people that are fresh on the job market so they can mold you how they see for vs someone whose been doing the same thing for years and isn't as easily molded
I would have hired a fresh faced 16 year old, with no experience, before hiring this woman. Her look, in and of itself, screams trouble, with a capital T. The fact that she went back to the store and demanded to know why she wasn't hired just confirms that the decision was correct.
As a person from Europe who worked in retail for a few years - no, girl, you wouldn't be hired as a salesperson in most of stores in my country as well. Most people don't like being attacked with some ugly, evil symbols when they just go shopping.

@@Mitchery Belgium 🇧🇪 West-Flanders to be precise. The smaller cities. I live near some of the well known cities but not in them. Won't say much about Brussels because that's becoming more and more of a sh1thole every year. The major cities are not pleasant in general, Brussels is the worst.
They're already struggling to recruit people. It wouldn't surprise me if they start getting lax on rules like that. Police departments used to have dress codes that barred visible tattoos. Now it's standard to see an officer with full sleeves 🤷🏾♀️
The point is that facial tats are not something the military wants to represent..They don't want it to be the image of America. Same as a private company: they don't want a certain image to represent their business. It's not like sex or race discrimination. The person with tats chose to do that to their body. About the only group of people who are forced to get facial tats are those who are/were trafficked.
I would never hire someone that I know would be a drama queen. Its hard being a business owner now of days without having to deal with an employee that would be a drama queen.
Yep. I have zero tattoos, zero piercings. There are a lot of jobs that just say they're hiring online but never actually hire anyone. I work for a truck stop that had a ad on indeed for 5 years hiring a manager when they had no intentions on hiring one. Why? No idea...
European here. No way she'd ever be put in a customer service position where I live the way she looks. Tattoos aren't a problem over here, neither are piercings, BUT, a lot of places will ask you to keep them covered if they're too noticeable (like wear long sleeves for example if you have a sleeve tattoo) or take out your piercings at work. If they're on your face like that you are NOT getting hired. Americans seem to have a skewered idea of Europe fromm what I can tell cause it's not at all what they think. And appearances matter, especially at your work.
Listen. I have an alt look since the early 2000s. I have had jobs where they don't care, like jobs in agriculture or factories, bc you're not in contact with clients. I also have had a great job in a company where we were doing translations for deaf people in live, with a Zoom-like tool. I was on cam all day. I just toned down my hair color, got rid of the dreadlocks for a time, kept my 3 tiny piercings, and my tattoos were mostly covered. The company was cool tho, they never asked me to look preppy. But you can't expect people to accept your extreme alt look in a work environment like it's nothing. It's immature. Edit: I'm from France, and I live in a small town near Switzerland. People are mostly okay with alt looks but if you want a job you have to tone down the whole outfit to show that you're ready to make an effort

This part right here. There are tatted and pierced folks working at places here in the boondocks. HOWEVER, we have a large enough religious population that the tattoo subject matter alone would be reason for them to get turned away. Hello. Ex TJX employee here. Tattoos are allowed but not to this extent. There is a time and a place for things like this. Hot Topic, Spencers, and or other goth stores might be more lenient with their rules about tattoos. Again: You do what you want with your body but just letting you know that your appearance matters when it comes to getting hired. I never had retail experience but I had internship experience (working with communities) so it was easier for me to get hired and I got the job on the spot in my interview. The pay is $13 an hour where I am (weekly pay). It's nothing special or big but it's something good for teens.
I found her channel on TikTok and she is obsessed with Hello Kitty. Practically all her vids are her showing off her Hello Kitty collection. She needed the job to support her Hello Kitty addiction. 😂

Boo-hoo! 😢 And, in all honesty, it's ridiculously cheap to start your own small business (as far as the LLC itself goes) but you have to have at least one skill in order to work for yourself. She could do OF without much of a learned skill, though. Post thirst traps, dirty videos and flirt all day but her husband might not like it.

I have tattoos I work for the government I've never had a problem getting jobs The thing is is all of my tattoos can be hidden if you were to wear a jacket and slacks with it. There's risks to getting face tattoos those your decisions that you make blows my mind
People don't want to be judged based off of their tattoos, but if you have neck and face tattoos people can literally see that you make immature decisions and don't care enough about your future to make good choices

When I started getting tattoos, and piercings more than 20 years ago I made sure they were easy to conceal; tattoos with scrubs with a long sleeve shirt/ jacket and piercings/facial piercings/dermal studs replaced with clear plastic studs/covered with tape/clothes. I worked in a doctors office and with patients all day so I had to look somewhat professional. The only thing I didn't hide was my hot pink/purple/black faux-hawk and (authentic) emo-punk makeup/style 😊; the docs slowly grew on my look, I started showing a couple wrist tattoos, and eventually the docs started hiring people with tattoos/piercings.
if someone smears poop all over themselves and goes in to apply for a job and then they're confused why they can't get hired. Stores spend millions and million of dollars on their businesses appearance, just to have a person that does not gives an "F" ruin it all. If you shot yourself in the foot, are you going to blame others why you can't walk?
My hubby works in a roofing warehouse and doesn’t have tattoos, doesn’t do drugs or drink, or doesn’t even cuss. Which makes him stand out from everyone he works with. Like thing that happened, was a costumer claimed my hubby and cussing at him and saying bad things. So, he wanted him fired. But, because of the type of guy my hubby is, his boss told the costumer he was lying! He told the costumer to leave and walked away!
Business Owner - 1) you make bad decisions, 2) you don't understand professional presentation, 3) your brain goes to some dark places which may not suit a positive workplace culture - all that without even needing an interview, thank you for saving my time.
I would say best bet is to apply to a tattoo parlor, guitar store, Hot Topic, Zumiez you get it. Unfortunately, the front face of most stores are looking to push a fresh faced and amicable personnel when it especially comes to appearance. Unless you're using a shit ton of concealer, I recommend the options above at least
Someone should have told Ms Entitled that no one is required to notify you when you don't get a job you apply for. Some positions have hundreds of applicants so a quick 'not you, sorry' text was more than what is required. Going back in with that scary themed face and neck would have had me backing away in case the person is as demonic as those tattoos look

You tattoo demonic images on your chest, tattoos everywhere, piercings that look like if you drink water, you'll turn into a sprinkler and what appears to be a full sleeve cover up over tattoos that you no longer think people should see and you're shocked that retail stores aren't knocking down your door with offers? I can't imagine why. It's almost like this would be something to consider BEFORE inking up. And this is from a woman with forearm tattoos.
Regular people would be freaked out and I wouldn't blame them. You see someone with those symbols, you'll start assuming the worst because of what it's associated with.

As a previously enlisted in the military person (i dont count myself as a veteran). The arguemnt of " even military people can have tattoos " is wild. Yes you can have them when you enlist but they have to be in places where they can be covered - as she shows and points out " except his face and neck ". Because its straight up not allowed. Hands, face, neck tattoos are things that will get you kicked out or denied. I have 3, and have always chosen locations that can be easily covered up. I agree that its self expression but theres a chance that even the most beautiful tattoos will offend someone. Someone should tell her to talk to a military recruiter and see what they say about all that. They will tell her no. You want an edgy art expression- you gotta pick places that genuinely dont care. Bar/tattoo shop
I see absolutely no problem with an adult person making whatever choices they want about what they want to put on their body. I agree, the choice is theirs, but choices have consequences and she's experiencing the consequences of her choices. There are some places that would hire her, but I guarantee that they're not where she wants to work. She seems like she's the type that *wants* her appearance to startle and unnerve people. It's just the vibe she gives off while she talks. All the staff I've ever seen at TJ Max are just normal looking people, nothing as over the top as she is. She should try Hot Topic or Spencers, if she wants a retail job, they'll probably take her. Probably any place with customers that look like her will hire her. Regardless, I think it also comes down her attitude. Seems sort of crappy. I remember seeing a young woman working at Arby's once who was just as tattooed and pierced as her, she was working just fine, and was polite and helpful; aka: a normal worker. A lot of it is also attitude.

Seriously, any "work from home" type job where you don't have to directly interact with customers in a way that they can see your face - telemarketing/sales/customer support, not to mention lots of computer related jobs like @crimsonfirelily mentioned
I am from Belgium (Flanders). I have never even seen people with face tattoos here. Plenty of full sleeves, leg tats. But I don’t even think you could get a job at a cafe looking like she does. Groetjes!

I have one tattoo in script which says 'forever' and is pretty discreet on the inside of my wrist. On my first day at a new job as an Executive Assistant/Office Manager, a colleague came up to ne in the break room, took one look at my tattoo and said 'Oh wow! Im surprised XXX hired you with your tattoo' and walked off. I couldnt have felt more anxious and stressed afterwards.
Yes, it is definitely hard for people without experience to get into the job market, it’s the age old conundrum. However…..the nasty devil spider tattoo with fangs under her chin/ neck and piercing indents all over cheeks and mouth, probably pushed her application well over into the trash can. 🤦🏻♀️
It's definitely a level of self awareness. Like I think a lot of people would say it shouldn't matter and agree with her, but also a lot of people (especially in older generations who may be in managerial positions) don't like it. When you get a tattoo it's on you to consider how the placement and the content of the tattoo may affect you, like maybe even just holding off on getting them until after all the debts are paid because you won't need to apply to a job that might be closed off to you would be better

Also, my issue is that it seems as though she is just trying to get attention & make an issue of it because she wore clothes revealing the tattoos when she could have easily covered them more, especially the most offensive one. Exactly. I'm an animal behaviorist, and have my own stables, kennels and training facilities. I absolutely hire people like this as long as they're intelligent, willing to work, and get along well with animals. A lot of these folks are very caring people that just look risqué or have a rough edge. Literally my only dress code is to dress safely for the job and to take off your sunglasses and hats when working with the animals so they can clearly see your eyes and face.

Honestly, people that covers their body with tattoos claiming it's "self expression" or that it's "art", I'm not buying it, it is narcissism and it's to get attention, the more people seem disgusted or scared, the more they actually like it and feel "edgy". (we all have a narcissist in ourselves, just different levels and shows in different ways) But if your narcissism is this extreme, you must be edgy enough to be able to stand on your own, without needing support from the "normies", lol!

Ive gotten plenty of jobs with my tattoos. The most that happened to me was a compliment to my neck tats. I think it’s the type of tats that she has and her face is fully tatted as well. Thats why you gotta be careful about what you decide to tat on your body if you still plan to work at a normal 9-5 job. But all she has to do is use tattoo concealer and take a few piercings out of her face and she can get hired simply. Or fill out an application at McDonalds. Pretty sure they hire anything. 🤷🏽♀️ Or try Doordash or Uber Eats.
Is she serious. Most sane people question ridiculously tattooed people representing their business. It's not discrimination it is common sense. Tattoos like this make you question the ability of the individual to plan for the future in any form of time.

i am not against tats. i have 13. Not a single one is on my face or front of my nec and ZERO of them are demonic or otherwise offensive to the general public. (except my frostmourne, that is offensive to horde players). her lack of being able to realize she made some bad choices in her artwork placement is really insane. placement could have been better when you look at the particular actually tattoo's she went with. add in the aggressive piercings and you are presented with a package that appears to be an angsty, aggressive individual who is very capable of some very bad choices in life and therefore not a great candidate for an employee in a sales related position , exposed to the public and likely to do with cash handling. edit..... her forehead tattoo is off center. lol
She's also an OF girl. They likely also looked into that before deciding to put her application in the shredder. On a side note, who is paying her to see her naked?? She's got a bad attitude and looks like she walked through an exploding landmine and caught a faceful of shrapnel
