nobody better than LOVEBITES out there for the last 6 years. i realize it's all a matter of opinion but i double dog dare ya to find this much talent in one band. and they just look so damn good doing it !
Yeah, other bands have maybe a handful of great songs, but Lovebites have 50+ songs that are all fantastic. Unlucky Morpheus for example i found so far 6 songs i like, especially the "M-Songs" but a lot i also don't really like. Or Babymetal, there is in the end only 1 song i really love (No Rain, No Rainbow)

Welcome to the world of LIVE Lovebites.. They do live up the hype. I'd hesitate to call any of these track suggestions "highlights" because the entirety of these gigs are a phenomenal experience even through DVD/Bluray. For a good cross sample I'd recommend (in no particular order) "Break The Wall", "Swan Song", "Thunder Vengeance", "Frozen Serenade", "Raise Some Hell", "Edge Of The World", "Set The World On Fire".. The world loves Miho, their original, previous bassist and the official live material to date only features her, rather than their new player Fami. Personally I'm so excited to see a live gig DVD/Bluray with our newest smiley recruit, but that's not to take away from Miho. I (and I think the whole fan base are of this mind) will always have total respect for her, as one of the originators of the band and for her contribution. Her departure was unexpected, sad but seemingly an amicable one, and now we embrace Fami and her flavour of fire which she brings to the mix. At the time of writing there are I believe three main live gig releases out there.. the first was 2019's "Daughters of the Dawn", this one, 2020's "Five of a Kind" and the last one "Heavy Metal Never Dies" which was notable for getting sneaked in under quarantine conditions in 2021 - I mention this of the latter because any material you react to from this gig may seem to have muted audience reactions by comparison. There were conditions attached to allowing it to go ahead, principally social spacing, masks and appropriate reaction to avoid spreading issues (If you look into any shots with the crowds on this gig you can see the score), but that doesn't seem to stop the ladies, who appear to give 200% to offset the situation.

You're correct! They are incapable of playing/composing a bad song... I've been listening to them for over a year, and each and every song of theirs is on another level...
Great take, you picked up on some of the key reasons they are so great. It's an explosive combination of individual talents, into something bigger than the sum of the parts.
Well the 2020 concert DVD is better postmixed than the 2021 concert DVD. Then it is a matter of taste what to like. I think the 2021 concert has more live feeling. and this song on the 2021 concert, that last note Asami takes is my oh my! Can't wait to get my hands on the 2023 concert DVD. For me their best guitarsolo is inte the song When Destinies Align. Do both MV and live version! I prefer the MV version of this song!
Came across this band about a month ago.... They are incredible & would be one of the few bands I want to see live......amazing live.... Reminds me of 80s rock... But with a new twist on things.... You can't believe what your seeing & hearing from these ladies.....

Good work mate. I appreciate reaction videos where you dont constantly stop the video for some benine comment. A lot of reaction RU-vidrs seem to forget that we, the listener, like listening to the songs and want to hear them more or less uninterupted. Nice that you really like them. Some other suggestions from Japan, Aldious, another full women band with for example their tracks Dominator or Re:Fire, as well as maybe Unlucky Morpheus, which has a violinist.
The M-Pack (Midori & Miyako) are already "unfair" in themselves - from the point of view of all other bands, worldwide - but Lovebites adds three more - a band that combines incredibly talented, incredibly good and just wonderful musicians in one band - fantastic, unbelievably fantastic and in your concerts you always have to be careful, to be amazed, to close your mouth from time to time. As a drum nerd, I still hope that a measurement technician will one day equip Haruna's drumsticks with sensors, because I would be interested to know what speed the tips of her drumsticks sometimes reach - I think the speeds would be incredibly impressive!
