Little Lotte Oh no!! I’ve been so busy these past few weeks and I haven’t kept up on the reviews. That’s sad to hear. But I’m still going next week, and knowing me I’ll probably love it. I don’t pay much attention to reviews anyway, because lately I think they’ve gotten it wrong at the Tonys. Although I tend towards musical theater (without being a real Broadway person) children of a lesser god was just mind blowing and the fact that it didn’t walk away with everything or even get nominated for crucial categories tells me there’s something really wrong with the Tony’s. But I digress. I’m still excited to go and I think I’ll still love it. I love Samantha barks I love the pretty woman story, huge respect for Bryan Adams as a talent, so how can they ruin it? (Is what I’m thinking rhetorically) 🤷🏻‍♀️

ns2110theonly Saw it sadly this is the only song that was a standout, with Bryan Adams expected more originality and variety.... that said overall a fun musical , sets limited due to movie, (hotel and Hollywood Blvd) and good cast esp. Orfeh, Andy, and Sam. Hope you enjoy it ... just that I have seen many musicals and this is a tad below par for me but it was nice cannot go wrong with romance and comedy 😊

What did you want them to do? They seemed to me to be listening to her pretty intently and they certainly cheered her afterwards. This is a song from a Broadway musical and a new one at that.

I agree with you. In my opinion I don't care for this song or the singer at all. Especially after the audience applaudes midway. The song begins to sounds like something from the Little Mermaid. Not impressed but I do love Bryan Adams.

Sonja Stanley I agree. I also wish Bryan created more music that appeals to younger generations (I mean, I'm a teenager and I'm a huge Bryan Adams fan, but he seems rather lacking in popularity.)

There was no key change. The song was in concert B major the whole time and it just started on the second interval above the root. If you don't believe me play it along with an instrument if you have one. Also Samantha Barks does have a great voice and an amazing range. Also the fact that she's so young.

Melicia In your opinion clearly the casting directors disagree. Perhaps they know talent when they see it. Sam can play any part given to her.
