As cats get older, the more money you spend at the vet. They complain and cry. We think they are sick and we run to the vet more often. We end up crying and crying when they die.
I'm a new Mom, and I definitely agree it's not easy at all. It's expensive, you're worried pretty often (if not all the time), getting sleep is tough, and getting time for yourself is almost impossible ... but it's the most beautiful experience you'll ever have to watch this amazing human grow ❤
Lots of practice and patience. Not to mention calls home to our parents and Google searches to figure out what to do about this new behavior. And you don't want to know what that thing is in the child's mouth but you have to go find out because it might be a choking hazard or super gross and now it's on your hand and you have to wash it off but there's more on the floor and where do you put the kid so they don't get itto it while you wash your hand and clean up the mess?! It's all good, though. They're cute when they sleep.
@@adedow1333be glad you don’t have 12 kids/siblings plus 3 extra because of husband/dad and another 3 who aren’t even related (PS. I’m just saying I have 17 siblings and it absolutely sucks)
Dont take it for granted. Some cats wouldn't be able to come home, having the same symptom. My kitty was diagnosed with pancreatitis from simple check-ups just like this. I would rather spend money to make sure she okay than find out something is seriously wrong with him. Same with children. ❤❤❤
Eeeh almost debatable on whether them being able to tell you whats going on would actually help much 😅 until theyre at least 5...my kid when she was 3, once told me tearfully her stomach "hurts"...i thought she needed to toilet, i thought it was a stomach infection or she was going to be sick, or what....it turns out she couldnt tell the difference between her stomach telling her to go potty and it telling her it was hungry 😅😅 it sounds ridiculous and not every kid has this exact same silly story, but every kid will have SOME type of story. Their bodily functions are still a mystery to themselves for the first couple of years.
They also can grow up and dump you in an elder care home or worse, just dump you and never see you again. No such risk with cats or any pet. It's more like the other way around of you dumping them. So, I am sticking with cats. I have no interest in taking a gamble that I won't end up like the thousands of parents out there that got ditched by their kids. I want guaranteed returns on my investment not a gamble.
You will almost never fully understood what unconditional love is until you have a child, that you are willing to under go hardship, stress, and everything else without expecting anything much in return.
@@kaister901kids are not investment. While being the cold hearted beings they are by abandoning their families in others' care, they are not investment tools. You give birth to them to love them. If they want to take care of you in your old days, congratz you've educated your kids well that they're willing to perform love. If not, either your education failed or it's just in your DNA. Can't blame them much. You end up in elder care anyway if you only raise pets. I'm a happy single 40yo, without kids, with lots of cats. I don't want to deal with human kids, but I still disagree to view them as investments. They are NOT.
I'm not a parent, but watching my sister be a mom, I realized you get annoyed a lot, but your love for them outweighs any of that. You get so tired, but seeing your kid smile will fill your heart with love. Kids aren't like pets at all despite popular belief. I know all parents aren't like this, but this is what my sister is like.
Yes parenting is different for all parents, but also most of us have similar stories. Like for me, my son just like your sister's kid/s also annoys me time to time, but I wouldn't change anything about my son. I love him and his personality with all my heart. He makes me smile every single day.
nah tbh my mom hated raising me and my siblings bc we were really really hard to deal with and tbh i don't get the appeal of kids either, i personally do NOT want to quit my job just so i can pull all nighters every single day trying to get the baby to stop crying and sleep
Ofcourse kids r different from pets in terms of stress n jou both... it's depends on u how much u can handle n b prepared for special needs kids too. If u can't handle for the joy of it don't have it.
I work at a cat vet and i definitely think it was very smart to take him in. It vould have been something that would cost $6,000 for treatments instead. Always better to check these things early on. Maybe get pet insurance, saves a lot of pets in emergencies.
@@bouncyknight4017 I think you should measure how hard or how easy it is when you parent not when your parent did, cos then you'll be talking from experience.
Kids can speak for all I know. So it may be easier to communicate. That cat is very kind to let you hold it for that long. My cat would let me but get annoyed and bite my leg after I set him down probably
So much work , yet triple times the love , the laughing, and fun . Yes scary times , Idk how we're going to get through this times . And then they say or do something that captures your heart again and again. Pure love
I got my first child at 23 that was the best thing that happened to me now she is 8 i remember I wanted a boy but even that doesn't change that is the best thing that happened to me, she is crazy and I love her and her bro also
Eachother that’s how you deal with it.. I have a preteen that’s sick and it always makes me cry to not be able to make her suffering go away, but dad is always there having my back to get us all through. Others times it’s me doing it for him.. ❤ you got this 💪🏼
Have children! It is responsible, it's 24/7 work, but out of love you will create a new life!!! You two are so beautiful and l think you will be great parents. You already are taking great care of your cat! You're doing good Andy, you will be a fantastic and supportive father, as you're already it as a husband. You already have wheels for the baby 😁
I'm sorry I might be changing conversation here, but do cats really cost that much?? A thousand dollars is insane for a checkup of a ....cat right? I wanna have a cat but I can't afford to spend 1k every checkup
It is crazy it is totally insane how worrying some health conditions are. I had my kid taken to the hospital in respiratory distress (she was later diagnosed with asthma) and it was the scariest experience in my whole life.
As someone suddenly thrust into parent hood by my sisters mistakes, idk the appointments are overwhelming. I’m happy I love these kids like I gave birth to them my self and am adopting them but I wake up tired I go to bed tired it’s hard af. But you love them so you keep going.
I thought my 13 year cat was being picky with his food. Found out he had intestinal cancer. Had to get him put to sleep a week later. Totally unexpected. Had him since he was like 3 months old
I have 3 kids (13, 8, 3) 2 out of 3 are picky eater but they don’t get sick that often at all as long as they eat healthy food and you taking good care of them.
I have a Ragdoll kitty with long hair too, he probably got to much fur in his belly from licking the shredding hairs. It’s spring, his coat is coming off.
