If you go on devacurl’s website you can find a certified deva stylist that has been trained to work with curly hair. I think there is 4 levels, 4 being the highest. I was lucky enough to find someone who completed the devacurl courses but is no longer affiliated with them so she doesn’t use their products.
Amen! I live in a smallish town and it’s near impossible to find someone to cut my hair! Every time I see her bust out the thinning shears I damn near lose it! 😂
@@derainbo349 Yes they are very expensive which is why I'm so lucky to have found my stylist because she doesn't do them anymore but still knows all the techniques. Also you would be surprised at how many stylists are willing to work with your budget. Doesn't hurt to ask!
Ombré and balayage is done using bleach. It doesn’t just strip the hair of its pigment, but also moisture. Having a large portion of the previous blonding work chopped off as well as proper curl products really helped to bring it back to life and restore that hydration. Hope that makes sense!
That's normal, curly hair looks like this when you don't use any product to make the curls more structured. Also, the oil from her scalp doesn't reach the end as easy as a straight hair, that's why her hair looks like this.
Love her hair after, stylist did an amazing job! But i couldn’t help scream “frizz 😧” at the end when she kept running her fingers through it and flipping 😂
I recommend “Curly Girl” book to my clients to better understand how to work it. Good cut, use prouduct, diffuse , and don’t brush it out when it’s dry.👍
She clearly didn’t look after her hair before. Her hair looks so much better afterwards, hope she continues to look after her hair. Like you can still have long beautiful curls as long as it’s looked after properly. My hair is curly and just as long as hers and my hair doesn’t look how it was in the ‘Before’. Mine looks like the ‘After’.
Lies this is classic before and after shit. U can see that "before" they did her dirty and told her to come with 5 day hair, Semi brush out and no products
@@guilhermeh.4313 hmmmm, idk. The pictures she showed of her past hairstyles made it seem like she never understood what curly hair even is. She was shocked when she saw the after, and the way she touched it and modeled it seemed awkward and unfamiliar. I really don't think she's seen her natural texture before.

The only thing I didn't like was this girl touching her hair that much. She is gonna kill those culrs in five seconds. Hairdresser did magic but the owner of the hair don't understand curls at all

Same here. My mom has me going to a hairdresser that doesn't know what she's doing with curly hair :( I'm still trying to understand my own hair too but I can't seem to find anyone on RU-vid who even has the same curl type as me
The curls look good, but this is either the wrong cut or wrong styling, because the top looks flat, and then the hair spreads out on the widest part of her face, which makes it look even rounder. It should be more volume on top and less on the sides/lower ends.
That looks amazing. The only feedback i have as a hair stylist is to avoid the middle part. It is dragging down her face visually emphasizing weight at her jaw that isn't there. That is why the stylist did the part on the side. It gives the style height and body thus balancing out the weight of her hair.
She literally looks like a totally different person with her new hair style. The stylist really brought her hair back to life. Her hair looks beautiful!
I started new year with a haircut... it was about 4 inches, going from shoulder blade to grazing my shoulders. Feel liberated and my hair does look healthier.
"Thing i'm most nervous about is having my hair poof out if it gets too short" I had this trauma for the longest time since 6th grade when my mom agreed to the hairdresser's suggestion to cut my curly hair into a bob 😤. Imagine in hot and humid philippines for a 12 yrs old who knew nothing about curly hair upkeep. I didn't realize I had a trauma until 2018 when I decided to chop off my hair for donation past my shoulders and I was so nervous on that salon chair 😂

Recently had the worse cut of my life for my 2c hair. I should've known better when he dropped the comb 7 times while trying to comb out my hair. I wish there was a curly hair specialist within my area!
@@amyg8176 I was going to say that. My wash ang go routine takes less than 20 min, including all bath and styling. You don't have to do it, and even this routine is faster than iron a 3c 4a hair like mine, for example.
You are rockin' your curls! Your hair has movement and bounce now. It is very hard to find curly hairstylists. I need to have my curls cut and shaped. I don't think I could do the big chop though. My hair is to my mid back. I want to grow mine longer. Irinel is a fabulous hairstylist.
I just cut about 7 inches from mine. I feel like some hair dressers/stylists don’t like working on my hair cause it’s thick. It takes a long time to dry and style it lol but I really wanted a change. Wow I learned a lot from this video on how to style the hair to emphasize the curls. I have wavy hair snd I think I’ll be able to style it better now
I used to be sad that my mom and sister have beautiful curly hair when I'm stuck with straight hair. But now that I see all the work that goes into maintining healthy and gorgeous curly hair, I'm kinda glad that I can shampoo my hair, dry it with my hairdryer for a few minutes and das it!
True but curly hair has so much bounce and body so it's worth it ❤ I used to have curly hair but the older I got it turned wavy/straight. Not sure what happened there but I'm trying to get it back to it's natural state.

@@isaidwhatisaid7177 only 2/9 siblings (same parents) came out with curly hair. Me and my other sister. My curls lost its shape but hers is going strong. Not sure what happened.
Experiment and do research on using different hair products. Finding the right products for your hair will enhance it and make it look just like hers or even better.
I went to a curly hair studio here in tempe ... bloom something and girl I thought they were gonna work me over. I got a deep condition slight trim a bunch of gel and a bill for $120. 🤦🏾♀️
My son has hair like this girl and he cries when it’s time to comb it :( it always looks great the day of and after wash day but then it gets tangled and frizzy
Looks okay. In the future she could still keep her long curly hair. She just needs long layers that way it’s not flat and also find the right products for her hair since it was really dry.
