Ngl even if I had enough money to buy a m3 or m4 I would actually still go for a 340i it’s cheaper but it’s great value for money it still makes great power and sounds awesome I could quite literally use that extra money to put a bigger turbo and a nice stage 2 tune in it and possibly make more power than a m3 And that my friend is proper use of money and zero waste…. Note- I do still love m3s but still 😂 So yeah great car my guy… looks awesome Sounds fantastic ❤❤❤
M cars are awesome but for my personal use, the 340i is a better all around option. Fast, comfortable, good MPG, doesn’t cost as much maintenance wise. People can gripe “oh that’s all you can afford, you can’t afford real speed” to which I say I fly jets in the Air Force. I have all the speed I could ever want, trust me big guy 🤷♂️🤣
@@revengeof1307coming from a stage 2 b58 the s55 felt pretty gutless, even was the 450 hp comp variant which should make slightly more power than my Gen 1 b58 stage 2. The s58 is another story, but the s55 is the most overrated BMW engine of the modern era lol

Not having a manual makes it a pass . 340i is a great car but once they took the manual from the 3 series in 2019 I believe . M3 was the only option for me . Timing I guess I didn’t have m3 or 340i money 8 years ago so it is not about money . If it doesn’t have 3 pedals not a sports car in my opinion . G80 m3 is a very daily friendly vehicle . Not much of a difference to be honest. My experience in the 340i was on the Spartanburg race track for a day. Verses my m3 I drive on the road. Comfort mode in the m3 is like 340i sport mode regarding throttle response. Great cars and if I drove automatic I would probably even say the 340i is the better buy. The best bmw buy of all time was f30 320i at 30k with a manual I had 2 15(lease)and 18 (bought). That was the best budget friendly bmw ever made .
Completely serious question, who volunteers to have a less of a forged engine, less forged components, worse breaks, worse suspension, worse handling, worse steering feel. Compared to an m3, a 340i is a Toyota Camry with a boosted engine. Stay in your lane.

No issues 40,000-90,000 miles tuned on E85. Regular Maintenance 5W-30 Oil changes every 3k miles Spark Plugs every 7-10k miles Transmission fluid every 40k miles Newer injectors swapped, 88k miles > 38,000 miles with less than 10,000 miles tuned.
I got a 440 instead of an m4 also, awd and not having to worry about reliability was worth more than an m car to me. The amount of money you have to put into the s55 to make it reliable as well as the mods cost more because m car.
If you would of been looking at 2021+ M4s youd find out they come with AWD. Also the S58 is stupid reliable right up there with your B58. The problem you have is you don’t make much money so your priorities are worried about the reliability of a 10 year old BMW. The saying goes “ If you cant afford a new BMW, you definitely cant afford one use”.
@@Whoareyoucalling yeah you’re kinda right, i definitely can’t afford a xdrive g series. I can afford a f series m4 though which is the only one I would buy bc I don’t like the g series looks. I just don’t need it, I don’t track and I don’t have any fun roads backroads around me since I moved to Va beach. I just wanted a reliable fun car that I could drive year round. It just wouldn’t have made sense in my situation to spend the extra money for an m4
S55s are just as reliable as B58s. The crankhub only becomes an issue for those who track, drift, or constan kickdowns from 5th-2nd gear. After the crank hub is done there’s very little flaws to the S55. I daily my F80 50 miles to work everyday with 600hp.

Tf do u mean ?? Its just the tire pressure sensor in the Tire runs on low battery, the light means "tire pressure couldnt be measured" a new sensor costs 30$ at BMW .. the another light is "Dynamic Traction Control activated" it comes automatic when u put the car in Sport+ mode

I bought one because I couldn’t afford a m3. I pay $597 a month, 2k down for the 340 but the m3 would have been $975 or something with 10k down. Don’t act like you don’t wish that was a g80. 😂 yours is old too, shifts slow 😆

The only reason you choose that over an M3 is because you either live in ireland where it rains 6/7 days a week or you couldnt afford it. If it was the first option yiud have gotten an rs3 or c43, even an m340i but not a regular old sedan.

I got an F10 and F30. F10 is amazing quality, made in Germany. The particular F30 my wife has was made in South Africa, is slightly worse quality compared to the F10 but if you ask me I wish I got 2 F30. Such a great car.
they are fine quality wise but they are the worst 3 series in my opinion overall. the b58 is the only good part about it. interior is hella outdated too
