Racial Phylogeny clearly states that the race of the mother will always be carried to the offspring, with phenotypical attributes being carried from the father (height, weight, facial composition, etc.). Beast races, aside from orcs, have always been assumed to be infertile with men and mer. The only reason why Elder Kings 2 has the race system it does is to make amends with the culture system in CK3. Yes, there are hybrids like Grey Prince, but they still stick to the general system outlined in Racial Phylogeny.
@@rapecel _Racial Phylogeny_ is not some bible or rule book that has to be obeyed. Like all in universe sources in The Elder Scrolls series, it's written from the point of view of an *unreliable narrator.* One example of this is the fact that the author doesn't seem to know if it is possible for Orcs to reproduce with other races, yet we know for a fact that they can, because we meet the Grey Prince, who is not only half-human, but half vampire as well. There is also the case of Empress Katariah and her children. Now, Katariah was a Dunmer, and her husband, Pelagius Septim III, was a Breton. When Pelagius died, Katariah officially took over rulership of the empire, and it is recorded that she faced opposition during her reign because she wasn't a Septim or human. When Katariah herself eventually died, her half-breed son Cassynder took the throne. According to _Racial Phylogeny,_ he *should* have looked like a Dunmer, since his mother was a Dunmer. However, there is no mention *anywhere* of him looking like one, or being nor is there a record of him being criticized for looking like one, and judging by the response his mother received during her reign, if he _had_ looked like a Dunmer (as Racial Phylogey says) it would have been recorded by someone. That suggests to me that he looked human, which directly contradicts _Racial Phylogeny_ and its assertion that children always take after their mother's appearance. Likewise, when Cassynder died his half-brother Uriel Septim IV (who was also a son of Katariah) took the throne, and he isn't described as appearing Dunmer or elvish in any way either. _Racial Phylogeny_ is *not* the end-all, be-all. It's been wrong before, and I guarantee it'll be proven wrong again at some point in the future. Also, CK3's culture system is _not_ why EK2 doesn't follow the rules laid out in _Racial Phylogeny._ The developers of that mod have directly stated in the past that they think that _Racial Phylogeny_ is an inaccurate and unreliable source of information on the subject of race-mixing. And so they purposefully chose to ignore it.
@Shia Lebeouf: Life Coach Skyrim had 10 races in it. If they had added all the variations of Khajiit and Argonians there'd be around 30. That's 40 more meshes to design for the bodies (20 for males and 20 for females), 40 more textures for those bodies (again, 20 for the males and 20 for the females), as well as redesigning every piece of apparel in the game to fit them. And don't forget, some of the Khajiit and Argonian variants are about 8 feet tall, and a few of them aren't even bipedal. One Khajiit "subrace" look like tigers (who can talk), and another look like kittens (who can also talk). Their inclusion in any game would mean the design of completely different gameplay styles depending on who you chose to be, as since they're on all fours, and in some cases are less than two feet tall, they wouldn't be able to do many things that other races could do. How do you design and balance a game around that much variance? It'd be a developer's hell and completely not worth it. Bethesda choosing not to take on that workload isn't laziness on their part. It's them recognizing that some things just aren't worth the effort. We already have 10 races, and while it's plausible that they might include some of the variants as NPCs in future games like ESO does, they would definitely not be playable.
I think that's only now possible if you have a submod to remove breeding restrictions. The first patch EK2 removed the ability for Khajiit, goblins, Argonians, and Dremora to reproduce with Men and Mer. The developer's forgot to include a piece of code to prevent such things in the release version, which is what made it possible in the first place.
@@DovahFett Did you actually read my comment? I said, par a few hybrids, the vast majority of the population of Tamriel is still subjected to the observations made by the Council of Healers. The exception isn't the rule; just because hybrids that do not carry the race of the mother exist, doesn't necessarily invalidate the studies behind Racial Phylogeny. I did not say Racial Phylogeny is a rulebook, but instead explained its contents to make the point that there are in-game explanations for why the vast majority of Tamriel is a rather heterozygous population. It is a rather uncommon sight to see hybrids, but I agree that the whole ordeal of race-mixing is much more nuanced then Racial Phylogeny makes it out to be. Still, there is a no greater alternative (or trustworthy) source, to my knowledge, as to what Racial Phylogeny seems to detail. I am fairly sure the EK2 devs gutted the racial system in Tamriel because it makes for sore gameplay, which I would much rather prefer if that is what they were comfortable with. If they did choose to purposefully ignore Racial Phylogeny for the absurd notion of TES-relativism then that is very disappointing.
If you have got the full restoration spell tree and you activate the ritual about health for some reason you don't die from hold age. I discovered it randomly when I was playing with a goblin shaman trying to form the Empire of Yokuda. I was surprised to find that he wasn't dying while infirm and melancholic. He still lives to this day 200 years later.

Got good news for you koifish, there is an additional mod you can add to elder kings to let your goblins create abominable crossbreeds. Also opens it up for all the other non human and non elf races, in case you wanted to breed orcs with argonians to make them into a star trek alien
Could still be true, Snow Elves that rather than hiding with the Dwemer or in the Vale fled to Soldtheim, and eventually needed to beseetch Malacath for aid.
@@DIEGhostfish I don't think Malacath has the power or interest in doing something like that. He's pretty weak for a Daedric Prince, and I don't think he'd want to waste what little power he has to "help" what he'd consider to be weaklings who couldn't defend themselves. Malacath respects strength above all else, and the Falmer had proven themselves to be _not_ strong by losing so decisively to the Nords. If anything, he'd just turn them into Orsimer, who, as the name suggests, used to be a different kind of mer before Malacath's birth. I find that outcome more likely than him creating an entirely new race of three-foot keebler elves who just ride boars, steal trinkets, and masturbate all day.
@@vizari9570 I like the Morrowind Skaal not being totally wrong, and the Rieklings sometimes copying the deeds of the Snow Elves in the stone trials to be more than coincidence.
I love these types of CK3 total conversion mods because in fantasy the different races are usually monoethnic, monocultural, and monoreligious, and so being able to make a dwarf culturally a goblin is always great.
Winterhold kept on distracting Koifish and luring him to raid there every time he considered getting revenge on the Ashlanders. Good thing that spell was finally broken after a while!
Please please please, do a ‘three banners war’ play through with Laith and Simo. Each of you start in the duchys of Daggerfall, Eldenroot and Ebonheart (or the alliance capital duchys Wayrest, Eldenroot and Mournhold) and race to see who can conquer the Imperial city first!

Hey does anyone know how I can actually play this mod? I already downloaded it, said it only worked in 1.8, changed it to 1.8, waited 3 minutes for it to load, and then when I choose a character and click play it crashes
@@ТАДАМ-ю4ж Skyrim is far from the best TES game, but I wouldn't call it garbage. What it is is mislabeled. Skyrim is an action adventure game, not an RPG.
