I couldn’t let this 1970 Dodge Dart get crushed - Will it Run? 

Why do people always put a price on cars its not about the physical value.The value comes in with smiles you get from people the stories time spent building it with your family which is priceless.

It sucks that it hit your truck but I couldn't help but laugh when you chased after it. I kept watching for you to turn off the left blinker but it never happened. lol. The old car is running once again.

I remember back in the 80ies that if you were seen driving this you would of had a lot of people insulting you but today I would give just about anything to have that gem 💎, Thank you for saving her, wish I knew back then what I know now... would of bought twenty of them..

Slant six is by far the most reliable engine ever..My Dad bought an old Volare.Dad drove that thing forever then sold it to a buddy it was a rust bucket but Dad was driving his new car to work and out of no where come the Volare just barreling down the highway passing my Dad my Dad said was so bad that his buddy shoved a rag in the gas tank because he lost the cap( not to safe I know) 😂. Dad said he had to be pushing 90 when he flew by..I always wanted to find another old Volare..Oh and also my cousin had a scamp just like that dart and it got hit by a truck. They told him if he was in a newer car he would've not survived.Neat old car Brother great save. Sweet ride

I fixed up two of these so far, drove them for a year and made money off them. The first was a 1968 Plymouth Valiant with a slant six, the second a 1969 Dart with a 273 V8. The Valiant brought more than the Dart. That car looks like a '70 since it does not have the '71 evaporative control system components. The tank that someone installed is the wrong one, because those ports are for the 1971 4-corner tank vent system which that car doesn't have. It should have a '67-70 tank but that one will work. It was indeed W1 white with a B7 blue interior. Chrysler painted the car one color including the trunk and under the hood, then the "upper door frames" another, contrasting color, then trimmed out the interior to match the upper door frame color. White was the only color that could have any color interior available...blue, green, tan or black. It looks like the original engine since it has spark plug tubes but the carb is a later Holley 1945, which is good. The year code and displacement is stamped into the deck surface of the block facing up, underneath the #1 cylinder. The VIN derivative is under the #6 cylinder facing out. The starter sounds terrible but that's what happens when people go buy a $40 offshore reman. When I rebuild an original Mopar starter they sound like 1970 all over again. I know you are young but resist the urge to abuse it with your foot too much. Good luck.

Great job saving the car, I also save old 4 doors and put them on the road. They practical and easy to keep going, make great cars.

The factory a/c set up on that car is worth a fortune if you decide to part the car out!

I got a '76 Valiant V8 sedan a few years back. No rot, cost me $0 out-of-pocket, 12" rotor swap, 8.75" rear end w/3.23 SG swapped in, 11.2" rear disc swap and other things- it moves, turns and stops better than you'd ever think

For all the vehicles you find that don't have keys, invest in a basic set of lockpicks. A gas cap lock like that is probably quicker to pick than to break into. Ignition lock might've been pickable too - I've done it on old Ford ignitions before. There seems to be a recurring theme of you needing an assistant - this getting loose and hitting your truck, you having to lift an ATV into a truck bed on your own, etc...

I had a 1971 Plymouth Valiant with a 225 back in the late 70's. I drove it for about 5 years before I totaled it 😢

I love four doors, I’m not prejudiced, plenty of space for everyone including the kitchen sink and other stuff in the trunk , even the family pets.

When it was not cool. White letter tires. Mine even had the chrome vents along the botyom of the dash. Want a 04' Canyon 5 speed. Ide take the Dart off your hands today!! Hreat cars. I know mine was. Yeah, mine had some repaint. Never been able to find her?? You may have. Could very well be my first car. I bought mine in 90' Family had mine. Since new. I truly think you may have my first car!!

The reason i think its my first car?? Is the manifold was cracked. Found a redish one. Had replaced years ago?? If its my car?? Had a trans. Rebuild late 90's i think it is!! Bought it in Branson Mo. At one point new shocks. Motor, trans mounts. I truly think it could be?? Looks like her?? If not its her twin??

Can't blame the Dart for hitting your truck. Just chock it up as a blonde moment and laugh at your mistake and don't take it out on the Dart. I drive a 72 more door Dart myself, wouldn't trade if for a new car. Good video keep up the good work.
