Man, you're sculpting ability never cease to amaze me. Proof that $50 worth of sculpting tools and clay doesn't matter when you have a toothpick and some skill. Have a great week.
Truly. The man himself is the best tool here. Magic sculpt is excellent. I definitely reccomend it over apoxie sculpt and the others. But… a toothpick?! Incredibly. I mean, it makes sense… if you understand your material and 3dimensional objects, you know what needs to be coaxed into getting that shape. I’d wager most good sculptors use less tools as the years go on.
So - I can reveal your little game... First you get some excellent pre-painted injection moulded accessories. Then you brush all the paint off them with thinners, starting with the lightest colours. Off camera you heat them up until soft, then pick them apart with your cruel pins and toothpicks, depositing the evidence in plain sight on your thumbnail, before uploading the video BACKWARDS. Well I'm not falling for that - you must think I'm stupid or something. On the other hand you might be really REALLY outstanding at sculpting and painting. But I think its the first one. Seriously. Thanks again for another master class on how to do stuff - I have no idea why you still use model kits - just get 5kg of Magic Sculpt and sculpt the whole thing. Amazing. 😀

I really enjoy those sculpting videos, your skills are incredible! I'd like to watch another figure sculpting video, if you plan such.. Pretty please!!
Приветствую, Мастер! Очень интересует судьба "Тирпица". Просто , очень грандиозный проект, следил за ним больше года... И расставаться с ним без финала, было бы очень больно...
I used to use Magic Sculpt until I found out how bad I was getting ripped off! I discovered it is really just JB Weld that has been repackaged, split up into smaller volumes and the price jacked up to the sky! Then for tarps and other fabric types I prefer to use a fine linen and some PVA glue watered down. It gives a much more realistic finish and is way easier to do.
