Hearing “I really want to stay at your house” after watching Edgerunners invoked some unexplainable pain deep within my dark and empty soul

this anime did so much in 10 episodes that other animes can’t do in a thousand episodes

It was a hell of a way to die, I bet the only regret David has is not saving his crew, staying alive for Lucy... he became a night city legend.

I was at the worst point in my entire life, and this anime caused me a mental break. I still struggle with everything but it taught me one thing. Life really is short and not guaranteed make sure your always chasing your goals. Cause the only person in your way is you. Rip Rebecca you were the realest and I strive to live like you. David my friend was it worth it? You changed everything in my life man thank you cause I’m stronger but I’ll always wish it didn’t end the way it did. This is just another ghost lost in the circuitry, Stay strong chooms and cherish the people in your life. Ghost out.

This was a great edit. I didn't cry but I did feel the pain David went through and how much he lost throughout the series. It's a bit of an underrated anime, not gonna lie.

God, I don't even know what to say, this is phenomenal, you've captured the beauties and horrors of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and it's fantastic... The song choice is fantastic, the cuts are clean. Just, really REALLY good work. I type this as I sit here crying too.

I played the game before watching the show... and as such, I knew how it was all going to end. I didn't know the specifics, But I knew damn well that there ain't no happy endings in Night City. The kindest of people only have memories of better times remaining, their loved ones brutally killed or worse, the corpos or gangs inevitably responsible go on like nothing happened. The worst of people never get what they deserve; they're all spared that by the quick death of a bullet. A small found family of Edgerunners with big dreams and bigger bonds? Night City's gonna spit them out in pieces, Literally and metaphorically.

One of the best/worst parts about the tragedy in this show is just how avoidable it all was. It not just makes you feel sad, it makes you feel like something about it is so terribly wrong and unfair that it creates a pit in your stomach

This anime was the biggest emotional rollercoaster of my life, I wish they'd make a new season because as we all know, David got the plot armor. No one was ready for what it was about to throw at us, good job on the edit it's really impressive, keep up the good work :)

Видео вышло шедевральным, если честно мне грустно не от самого аниме, а от осознавания того, что моя любимая игровая вселенная скоро угаснет и останется так, как есть, без обновлений, без какого то нового сюжета, да я зашёл в комменты высказаться, я не знаю почему, но мир киберпанка, он как будто живой, серьёзно, я в игре или при просмотре аниме чувствую себя дома, печально, что ни одна игра и ни одно аниме из тех, что я прошёл и посмотрел не принесли мне таких же тёплых эмоций, надеюсь, что когда я буду перепроходить в 10 раз игру у меня появятся эти тёплые эмоции и осознание, что у меня есть настоящие друзья, любовь, просто жизнь, или аниме, которое буду смотреть сидя на пляже, это не прикол с пляжем, я люблю так делать, хочу сказать автору большое спасибо, ведь она подарила мне хоть всего и 4 минуты, но той самой теплоты, ты лучшая, лайк поставил и подписался

No matter how many time I watch cyberpunk the feeling won't go away, this series is such a masterpiece and it will forever belong somehwere in my heart.

Damn 3:34 hits hard... What an amazin serie. Thought I was prepared for it emotionally but the end was so sad. Even though it was a "bad ending" it was still a blast to watch. Just leaves you the feelin of what it could have been if they all survived the madness. What an incredible edit. The quality of it. Captures all the perfect moments of the serie.

This is the BEST EDIT I HAVE EVER SEEN. I watch this on a monthly basis and I get chills up my spine along side goosebumps. I have never felt so emotionally attached to a show but even the first episode makes me tear up knowing what David has been through as his mother dies and he is getting insulted by the bully, tapping his foot. Staring with anger fear sadness and confusion. This show is a fucking master piece and this edit brings out all of David’s suffering and how shit the night city is as a place to live 🥲

this anime was one of the best kind of fiction i know of , the one that makes you care , the writing , world building and people we encountered in this anime , the way we got to know them and the way they ended up dying made us truly care about it , it was a full on emotionnal roller coaster none of us were trully expecting , but one some of us knew from other works like the blade runner franchise for exemple , i believe this to be one of the greatest anime for this exact reason , and i hope others do agree as this truly did make me rethink a few things and actually think about the way everything is going for all of us right now

Listening to the edgerunners soundtracks always makes me find reasons no to drop from the car, and go slower until the songs end in cyberpunk 77.

I now understand the phenomena that is both Edgerunners anime and the actual game itself + Phantom Liberty. I was playing through the game for the first time ever earlier this year and then watched Edgerunners (as recommended by my "chooms"). Then after I was done watching all the eps, I went on to continue the game with a completely reinforced motivation and with a deep hole in my heart. Despite this being purely fiction, it wasn't hard to get swept away and fully immersed in it's world. When the song "I want to stay at your house" played on the radio in game, it actually jerked at my soul and I'm not one to cry tears. But it did make my throat ache a little from emotional overload. It's actually crazy that it started playing when I visited the memorial the commemorations for Rebecca, David, his mom, Dario, Pillar and Maine. I also pushed myself to visit all the spots I could, where the Edgerunners once lived and died. It hit so deeply. The game itself is absolutely incredible, albeit sad now because after 300 hours, I pretty much finished everything including the Songbird saga in Phantom Liberty. Well.. everything except the very last mission with Hanako. I kept leaving that for the very very last mission to accomplish. I don't want it to end. I'm saddened to hear CDPR have no intentions to release anymore DLC content. I wish they'd reconsider and have a team continue to work on the base game with at the very least more gigs from every fixer in the city, just to add more replay value. The animation was exceptional, but man... it was depressing. It's not the saddest thing I've seen in animation, but it's definitely heart breaking simply because I really cared for the characters and in a way, could actually relate with the street life and how hard it was to trust anyone. I'm no longer in my 20s... That was left behind a while ago, but somehow, after so much time that has passed, I feel like I'm almost back there again, starting a new chapter today. Anyhow.. I'm drifting here. Apologies. This video was beautifully done. Quite possibly the best I've seen on RU-vid. Thank you so much for sharing it with us Li Ray. Blessings to you.

I like how there was a build up to cyberpsychosis in the anime. There were three main parts or moments where cyberpsychosis took center stage to show how big of an issue it can and eventually was. The first moment was with a random unnamed hobo who killed Pilar and that was to show to David and the viewers not only the warning of chromming yourself too munch but to show the consequences can be instant and affect anyone. The second time was when Main gave in to cyberpsychosis to foreshadow what will happen to David if he took up a position of power like Main and to show cyberpsychosis could affect even people close to you and by the time you realize it it's too late. Finally the last part is when David gave in to cyberpsychosis after not listening to the first two warning. After Main's death the Edgerunners could have disbanded and lived a clean life.......well as clean of a life the slums of Night City would allow.

When I first watched the anime I wasn't never interested in Cyberpunk, I gave an opportunity to the game too. It changed my life and the way I see things, I can clearly say is my favourite video game ever. This video gave me goosebumps great job🔥🔥

It's honestly kind of refreshing to see someone who isn't relying on "I really wanna stay at your house" to carry the thing. Yeah, it _does,_ but the show was so much more than just that song, and people have honestly overhyped how integral it was to the tone of the show. It was used well and did exactly what it was supposed to...but there was other stuff in the show that helped make the moments with that song so impactful, and this video does a really good job of highlighting that.
