Sounds like a solid plan, i got addicted to the channel originally because of all the little tricks and jigs used when making things. Its something a 'DIY' woodworker would never really learn unless they had a cabinet maker or joiner mate looking over their shoulder and suggesting better ways to do things. As long as those things continue in the videos, im sure it will be successful.

A suggestion: If you are doing how-to videos make them doable by the average amature. I hate videos that are like how to make a box... with a cnc router, cnc laser etc. Normal folks dont have that stuff. This is one of my favorite channels

I saw this and just looking at the thumbnail made me cringe thinking of my actual thumb nails getting cut off lol. I think its wise to always use complete percuations, especially around dangerous tools. I've never heard someone say "totally worth losing part of my body that I'll never get back!". He was lucky though, I'm sure theres much much worse.

Don't be sorry or ashamed.. You gotta make a living. I'm well past the how to. but still enjoy watching. I do like the 'Stance' format. and even though I have been woodworker for longer than you have been around, I still learn and pick up tips. Keep them coming Jordan

I mullered my index finger on my left hand on my chainmortiser I feel your pain. You were lucky as I was to be left with a nearly full length finger.

Ouch Losing a finger always sucks. I always had a reminder to be mindfull of the jointer when I look at my dad's left hand. First knuckle from hand out on the pinky. Little past the second knuckle on his ring finger. And last knuckle on his middle finger are all gone from how he rested his hand and wasn't paying attention as a kid. Said he never felt it until he looked at his hand and realised he took them off.

I did the same last Thursday. I didn't go to the hospital, though, unfortunately. So now I've got 2 gouges (from the edges of a 1/8" kerf on a table saw), up half of my baby finger's nail. Didn't get to the bone, just about 2-3mm of flesh lost. I was tired. My fault. I feel for ya man!

I do remember your video with Sawstop, you should appreciate that you can use it, in EU we have no such technology certified and have similar injuries also on table saws

Before we get started I'd like to take a moment to talk about shop safety. Be sure to read, understand and follow all the safety rules that come with your power tools. Knowing how to use your power tools properly will greatly reduce the risk of personal injury. And remember this. There is no other more important safety rule....than to wear THESE 😎 ... safety glasses... Norm Abram

Backing up to what you were doing IMO is a great idea. The last few months I have lost interest in some of your videos. Wishing you well on recovery. Work safe, keep it real.

Sucks about the finger. I cut off the top of my RH middle finger cutting fabric for pin up boards. Lessons learnt, use a metal straight edge not a 16mm MDF one. And use a sharp blade.

No furniture maker has all his fingers. Nowadays with guards n such there’s less gore and savagery, but it only takes a moment of tiredness or lapse in concentration and chomp. Always remember, you are the softest thing in the shop.

To be honest, I stopped watching once the videos became the tedious instructional "Cut the board to 12 3/4 inches..." I'd be way more interested to watch a much less detailed time lapse with a voice over of you talking about making it... Just some constructive feedback, because there was definitely a point at which I started watching your videos less...

I cut my fingers on my table saw. My stupid fault. I didn't replace the guard (Triton table saw) after a cut, plus the blade was getting blunt. I now have a deformed right index finger and destroyed some nerves and ligaments. Now, why do we see you blokes cut timber without having a guard over the blade. Makes me nervous just watching. All the best with your finger, mate.

Bad news about the finger. Just a bit of feed back on the video though, up the audio levels, I had to crank my speakers up just so I could hear you. Also, please work on your audio sync, it is a bit out and it is distracting when you're watching and trying to line the sounds up with lip movements.
