I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before, but this video brought back fond memories of a day when I went to Urban Retreat in Houston with a Gift Certificate for a “day at the spa”. Everything was included in the gift, a facial massage, a body massage, a manicure, a pedicure, and last, but not least a makeover by Heidi Schultz. When I completed my day and had the makeup applied, my hair was a mess, especially after the facial massage and basically everything. I mentioned to Heidi that I was so appreciative of the gift, but, boy I wished that a hairstyle had been included. Well, Heidi said, let me see if I can find someone to do just that. I did have to pay for that, but the day wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t have my hair done, (This was in the days before I started wearing wigs!) so, Heidi came back and said, great, go over to that chair and Ceron will do your hair!! This was just after he had come to Houston, probably about 1990ish. I had no idea of who he was and more importantly, who he would become, but he cut and colored my hair a strawberry blonde, which meant that I had to buy all new colors of makeup. Urban Retreat fixed me up with that, also and I felt like a million dollars. What a memory!! ❤❤❤

I use to love Urban Retreat; Ceron did my hair also; he did a nice job but he complained the entire time that I had enough hair for two and it was using up his time; he also did my daughter's hair same compliant; I never let him do my hair again. I think he likes the publicity his association which Dominque gives him; there are plenty of hairdresser that have alot of talent that don't charge as much either. Frankly I had Emile do my hair another person who she recommended in the old days; he was a joy and did a very good job.

The relationship between a stylist and the client is so special. I feel pictures and communication are important. Then the stylist interprets that info and delivers the perfect blend. That relationship does not happen with every stylist immediately. I've had 2 that were on the same page. Unfortunately I moved and am still trying to communicate with my new stylist. We're getting there!☺️

I have been trying to get the ideal bob. Every time I visit the salon & explain what I want PLUS show a picture I never get the cut I want ! I write down the exact words the stylist use in the remarks or the video & I never am satisfied! What am I doing wrong?? I love your new bob & that is what I want! It isn't you. Too many stylists believe they "know better" than you do about what you want or need. I finally gave up after first a ruined bob and then a nearly-scalped pixie cut ("cut" more what one finds in a butcher shop not a salon!). Since then, maintained my own pixie style -- and have actually had compliments. And put the money not spent on salons into my savings account!

Love it! And I have to tell you, you look good no matter what you have done to your hair, but obviously some styles are more flattering than others.
