What a nightmare for you James, I could see how uncomfortable you were and I can imagine how much you were missing the family.! But you're absolutely right, if you have a tooth problem get it sorted! Glad you're on the road to recovery now and well done for bigging-up the hospital, in my experience (tho' not of Torbay) the staff always go above and beyond. Belated Happy New Year to you and yours.

Lad i know had similar except he didn't go to hospital and just kept on grafting through it because he was self employed and had people he didn't want to let down. He almost died and has never recovered from it 😕 glad you caught it when you did and get well soon

James: I feel ur pain, mate. I had 4 wisdom teeth removed pre-Covid ALL AT ONCE with the drill breaking twice and anesthesia wearing out twice. Then had to do dental implants in a year. Three oral surgeries in one year with drill breaking twice. Drank purée for two years. U r damn lucky that u can chew food. Teeth pain ain’t fun!!

Good that you're home mate. I've had a wisdom tooth growing through a molar for many years fortunately without pain or issues although parts of my tooth break off occasionally. On another note I followed the PSB Ranger from Ivybridge to Plymouth this morning :-)

Mate I had exactly this happen to me, minus the infection. They wouldn't let me keep my old molar, due to "Covid"... I arrived with the tooth inside my mouth 😂. The wisdom tooth had left a jagged imprint on the molar. Wisdom tooth is all good. Dreading when the next one comes through. Stay strong dude

Glad to hear you're are on the mend. With the medication you have been given (morphine and codeine), these will show up on a drug test should you have to give one. My advice to you would be to carry a copy of the prescription or letter from the doctor to confirm you have been prescribed those drugs with you. It could save a lot of hassle if you are tested for whatever reason by the police. Wishing you a speedy recovery
