Another great vlog mate in your truck you have your red strip of lights you should see if you can get your truckin with James logo in white and put it up just above the red strip in the centre would look great
Top of the day to you James, i noticed you removed a trailer license plate and put it on the other,Here in the U.S the trailer has it own registration and plate from the state of its home base even though the tractor also has its own plate from a different state.Years ago trucks would have multiple license plates, for the states the companies operate, now we have aportion where no extra plates are needed.
Your enthusiasm is infectious...I'm seriously considering returning to trucking ...passed 35 years ago, I'm under no illusions but might do 3 or 4 days a week
She's a big gal, right enough, with her ginormius trailer, , but you have mastered the art of control, and well done for your first drop and swap, not something that could be coceivable before with the old gal.
Good Night James. I spoke to you last year after passing my Class 2. It's took me over a year to get a Job. I'm going to be driving a 18t flat bed. Can't Wait. Also gonna be Tramping 3 nights a week. Got a few questions. What Sat-Nav do you use. Other than your Phone/Laptop/Bedding so on. Is there anything else you'd recommend to bring? - Andy
@@ShadowSniperUK hi Andy 👋 I remember!! Shame it took so long, but hopefully this is the start of good things to come for you mate 👍 I use the Garmin Dezl LGV700…. Great satnav 👍 I have a 24v kettle which boils in about 8mins but if you use it on a 12v input then it takes about 14-15mins. Packs of baby wipes, plenty of body spray and deodorant, toilet roll, a power bank, and all your shower stuff with plenty of clothes. Enjoy mate all the best 👍
I’ve been down in Devon for a month now, enjoying the new life in the b&b. Got to admit I don’t miss the M5 traffic at this time of year, but do miss trucking. I’ll be watching your vids and enjoying them that much more now lol.
Haha glad to hear it mate!! Hope everything is going well in your new place 👍 I don’t blame you mate the m5 has been a nightmare over the last 2 weeks! On Thursday it was standstill for over 3hours!!
wish I could come the truck show bit far for Liverpool for one day lol 🤣 wish I could be making videos for my channel just not been in the mood at all + my cars been broken more than I count on one hand 😔 but on a + note at least I can watch your videos lol 🤣
Nooooooo not far at all mate 🤣 mate I wish 🤣 I love editing!! And that’s not your fault bud, sometimes you do just lose the momentum to upload especially when all that’s going wrong!! Glad you’re enjoying the videos though mate appreciate it 😎👍
your pick up was 5 min from my house, its always fun spotting places i no as you drive around... The accident was a very nasty one pleased you did not get to held up.... happy trucking
James, question, does the Scania you drove in this video have a V8 engine. In the USA Scania trucks are a rare sightings, the few you see mostly are dump trucks and not COE type. From an ignorant Americano LOL👍You're are also a good driver, cool and patient with articulated trucks.
@@josephseverino674 hi mate thanks for your comment! And no this one is not a V8. Yes I follow a lot of American truckers and cab overs in general aren’t very common over there are they! Thank you very much I appreciate that a lot 😁👍
A few of the owner operators still run rebuilt COE.Conventional cabs were once more popular at the west coast and cab over engine on east coast, that began to change in the late 1980s ealy 90s when conventional cabs were dominant. Only small box trucks, garbage,or mainly special applicational .I enjoy watching videos of trucks other countries,i see many trucks that have really good features that here in the USA,are not common, like disc brakes which in not as popular here,American trucks are still in many respects back in the 1970s LOL.
Brilliant vid as always James - great that you maintain your sense of humour. Just bought you a coffee a week for the next 4 weeks :-) drive carefully - see you at truckshow - Steve.
Tip for tight turns James, when your 90 degrees pluss turning, once you staighten up,jump out and check your sussies, they can get hooked up. Any where really tight, drop all your sussies and push the shunt button on the trailer, makes life easier. Stay safe and keep on trucking!
I remember when my 22 plate daf came up with the same message last year. It went in to limp mode before i had chance to get it to the garage 🤣 ended up having to drive a across bristol back to avonmouth at 18mph 🤣 had to drain all the adblue from the tank when i got back to depot and reset the computer.
How tight you was to that car there’s a job we have and I have that much gap either side with cars about 20 long edging forwards. Gets my bum hole twitching every time 🤣
What a well presented video and a professional Driver. Still, I can't work out DVSA these days... In days gone by a clear encounter meant they'd not usually pull you in again for a while. But now it seems that doesn't matter and they'll pull you in whenever they feel like it.
Doing a good turn for your customer did not mess with your ETA, unlike the DVSA , from a year ago, just so you can be slotted in to THEIR routine. AND in return they didn't keep you happy OR even give you a coffee ! No scratching backs then. ☹️ Anyway, little things like good customer service, while not being difficult, DOES make good business, and helps YOUR company to grow. Well done.🙂
Little tip, you don’t have to hold the key until it starts, once you turn it fully you can let it go and it will start up 👍🏻 I’ve got an FH500 19 plate
Hi James! I failed my first theory :( any tips!? Also, your vids were the original aspirations to become a hgv!! Many thanks and keep up the great vids!!!!
Not to worry Jake mate!! My main tip would be to try and not OVER revise. Don’t fry your brain with info, revise casually and at a slow pace and you’re more likely to take in more info 👍👍
