1:17 “Those are floors that are in Animal Crossing!” PLS😭 can we appreciate how Rocket’s genuine excitement and enthusiasm sounds EXACTLY like every small child who wants to show their parents something really amazing, but you already know about it but they are just SO wholesomely excited to teach you something? Like, yes Son, that IS amazing, tell me more, keep going😭😭😭😭
Unrelated to any items you can find in the game, but the morning stretches that you can find Tom Nook and Isabelle doing in the town hall are actually what some Japanese workers do before they start working. Some offices even do them all together, in sync! It's called radio taiso.
I think Japanese power lines are slightly different in both their design, and their memeability for how frequently we see them in anime/manga due to the overwhelming amount of them in real life Japan. In a good chunk of the West, typically our power lines still have wooden posts and bases compared to metal ones, where as the majority of Japanese powerlines are fully metal, and combined with the immense quantity and close proximity of them to one another, is explicitly why you see famous tropes you see in anime, manga, etc such as “walking into a powerline post” and “watching someone from behind a powerline post”, etc
@@jaxjaxattaxx Ah that makes more sense. Not sure if it's just a Canadian suburb thing, but like there are power lines down most of our roads so I was so confused lol
I hope they add more customization to the buildings like town hall, nooks cranny, your house, etc. in the next ac game Even expanding upon new leaf’s building customization
The reason Pokemon is very separate from the rest of Nintendo is because Nintendo doesn't fully own Pokemon it is owned by Gamefeak and The Pokemon Company
Slight correction: The Pokémon Company is owned in thirds by Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc. but yes you are right in that this triple-stake ownership is why Pokémon is so distant from other Nintendo franchises
Okay. I’m gonna be honest great video but it sounds like that one meme where everything came from Fortnite. “OHHH! That’s Spiderman from Fortnite!” Like those kinds of video, lol. But great vid though.
Those recycling cans that you showed are exclusively for bottles, Japan had way more experience with far-right, far-left as well as religious extremists/terrorists than one might expect over the decades and especially the sarin attack by Aum Shinrikyo in 1995 (it injured over a thousand people and killed over a dozen people - and it was definitely not the first attack by them, another big one was the Matsumoto sarin attack) led to the point from which on they tried to avoid trash cans in as many places as possible (there are trash cans in some areas though). Also Japanese people are usually more into recycling, trash separation and so on, which leaves out the need for a lot of trash cans.
@@Deadgirl97 apparently, it might have been just the fear that they could use them the next time as I just looked it up just now and while a lot of places are repeating that claim, I could not exactly find solid proof for the trashcan part (they used packages that looked like trash, but usually just dropped them on the floor or specific places in train cars). Those people were part of a buddhist (with Christian and Hindu elements) cult that believed in something like armageddon. The cult/new age religion still exists in the form of two independent groups which are till today under surveillance and as well as on some terrorist organization lists (thinking about it, the latter one might be not true anymore, it's been a while since i looked up those lists).
I do something similar to japanese bedding, I live in an apartment and I stopped using my bedroom as a bedroom when I replaced my couch with a pullout sofa, so my bedroom is storage and my living room is also my bedroom cause I just pull out the bed part of the couch at night, I didn't realize this was similar to Japan, and I love Japanese people even though I'm Canadian, I just think Japan is such a fascinating and fun culture
I've always wanted to go to Japan.. and Animal Crossing is one of the many, many influences of my interest too, so I was super hyped to see you upload this lol!! Also! one of the walls in the house with the tatami floor looked like it had a shoji screen wall which is also in Animal Crossing! Unrelated: but your voice sounds all over the place and sometimes on only one side of my headset..? not sure if that is my problem or just the video audio ¯\_( ̄ω ̄)_/¯
I just figured this out. I got a new computer and it records audio in directional stereo, and i forgot to change it to mono. whoops. Will have it fixed in the future, but thanks for pointing it out or i wouldn't have caught it
13:12 There is a political reason for lack of trash bins. On a subway, members of the Aum Shinrikyo cult in 1995 ended up using a trashcan to conceal a pierced sarin gas bag, the reason being the leader of the cult didn't win the election. Because of this, majority of bins in highly populated and closed off spaced were removed, and if there's an important event going on in the area, the bins there will be removed
Am i the only one ah I noticed the wavering audio at least in the first half of the video? (After the first bit i cupped my hands around the speaker to make that stop) Like it would move from left to right? Because jesus.. This was a good video but i 100% wouldve stopped watching if the cupping my hands over the speaker of my phone didnt fix it.
