when you take tokyo quickly it gives your puppet half your navy the islands and korea, if you do it slowly they dont get half your navy the islands or korea so its actually better to do ti slower
The Japanese foucs tree is among my favorites, lol. Really only the historical path - but not actually playing historical. I dont mind this tree though. The civil war sucks. But tbh, with the navy Japan starts with the game isnt challenging. So blowing half of it up and loosing the best admirals adds a nice challge.
FYI if someone guarantees you and another country, they don't get called if you declare war on the other country. It's why countries in South America don't fight the US if they declare war on their neighbours.
