I recently fasted for five days straight. It was easier than I thought it would be. It was so liberating to not constantly be thinking about food, and I had so much energy.
Most people dont have the mental fortitude or discipline to fast so they will judge you for doing this. Let them be weak and keep going, youre doing the right thing.

Why everyone looks fasting as a weight loss tool, it's even more than that. The most important use of fasting is to heal and repair our body which body does itself by tapping into the process known as "Autophagy". It is even capable of curing chronic disease and aliments. Fasting also has spiritual aspects too. So weight loss is just a by product of it. ❤👍
As someone who practices fasting, you can feel the effects of ketosis by day 2 of fasting. That's because your body takes about a day or so to deplete the glucose stores in your system before it taps into your fat stores. For someone who doesn't practice fasting, it will take a while to go into ketosis because not only do you have to deplete your stores of glucose, your body isn't used to burning fat for energy yet.

I am fasting and I am at day 15, i lost 9 kg, my face acne has gone. My goal is to reach 40 days. I was 99,6 kg and i am now 90.6kg. Remember, at the first week you will lose weight like crazy but it's the water weight that is left. At the second week you will see the true weight lose. First week i lost 5,5 kg, at the second 3,3 kg.
@@kittujadhav it's just water, salt and some vitamin pills with no taste, you should not consume anything that says calorie free (except from herbal tea, coffee) or anything that has sweet taste that comes from some type of sweetener

@@shubham_srt muscle is in small amount. In fasting phase your HGH goes up to retain muscle. In ancient times there were no abundance of food. They had to hunt and they didn't ate everyday maybe twice or thrice a week. Agriculture came very late. Even breakfast is a recent thing. If muscle loss happened then human species were long gone.
I have done water fasting(only boiled water allowed from sunrise to sunset ) twice in my life so far (8days 11 days ) As a Jain we have paryushan our biggest festival every year where we practice different kinds of fasting The amount of pure joy and a complete reboot it gives to your body cannot be compared to any detox fads ! If anyone wants to start their fasting journey start small from 2-3 days and build up . The post fasting phase is very crucial so look up how to take care of yourself in that time 💪💌
I used to do 3days fasting.Lost a lot of weight in between .Definitely healed my body too. But what I didn’t like was I started looking older than my age, almost 10yr older than my real age. Since then I stopped doing it. I do not have any health problems for now.Will definitely do more research to start it again.

Leave three things in your diet: sugar, oil and dairy. If possible gluten too. You won't ever need to fast. Keeping your body hungry like the youtuber would induce a permanent damage to your body.
Broh... When fasting, or water fasting, you will be sodium depleted, so take some salted water, at least one cup of salted water, you don't need a lot of salt, just gradualy put salt until you feel the salt taste, with this you will have more energy, sleep well and no headaches!

We jains have been doing fasting for 1 days to as long as 30-45 days.. Only water nothing else that too no water after sunset till sunrise.. This religious fasting is common in our religion and every jain has done some or other sort of fasting in their lifetime and it's completely normal and healthy
Just a note from someone that suffered an ED from this type of method, this is not an efficient way to lose weight or burn fat, it will have more psychological effects than physical, dont starve yourself for the sake of losing weight, fasting and starving are two completely different things and the line is extremely thin, be careful!!
@G-ew6sk All natural Lemon water with small bit of sea salt if planning to workout. Salt is not needed much if sedentary. Sea salt has less sodium so it's better for health and fluid retention than table salt. Mid day you can have a cup a pressed green juice. You can use any greens, kale, spinach, mustard greens. Night watermelon juice or coconut water. All of these are excellent sources of electrolytes and the calories are negligible. You can use electrolyte drinks such as Gatorade but those tend to have calories. Also artificial colors ( although they do have some with zero calories sweetener).
Finishing the same thing today. Honestly third day was by FAR the worst. I had insomnia that night, and my entire body hurt my eyes hurt, everything hurt. Almost stopped at that point, but decided to push through another day and take the decision the following day if the situation didn't improve. Surprisingly, all good. After that third day, I forgot I was fasting and was hyper productive. Flow state or something close to it every day, was amazing. As I am writing this, there are 17 minutes separating the me that can eat to the one that cannot. We're pretty much there!
I do this everyday you can call it intermittent fasting, 20:4 Trust me guys, i never felt more relieved and relaxed and when i eat in my eating window, its a pure bliss for me as it satisfies my soul, even if i don’t like what i am eating

I was a beginner in May 2024 and i started ketosis I fasted for first three days and i got into ketosis and on the third day i also soiled my pants I lost around 10 kgs in just those three days but i gained back 2 kgs After that i did ketosis for yhe rest of the month and slowly lost 5 kgs I was around 92 when i started Bullying was the motivation for me to start ketosis. I am 14 and i am sure any teenager being bullied for his weight has the determination to lose weight.
@@vaishnav_mallya uhh Actually it depends from person to person, actually I had to break my fast because I had pneumonia,a really infectious disease so at that time I started adding a lot and lot of carbs into my meals.I only gained abt 1 kg after breaking the fast.I never followed any proper method to break it because of my disease but I will only recommend u to break your fast in the right way in which what this guy said in the video.I am sure u would not gain more than 3 kgs anyways. Also eat fruits according to what is said in the video.They are really helpful to move out of Ketosis safely. Moreover u would feel that ur body would be more bigger after breaking fast and it is because of restoration of glycogen stores.Glycogen is the form in which body stores carbohydrates. Fat has 7700-8800 calories, when you fasting your body will be on low energy mode/efficient mode and use less calories, let say his body will use only 1500 call a day instead, he only have 10.5k calories deficit, which only 1.3kg of fat, even if his body still use 2000 calories, he at best lost 1.8kg of fat So the fact he lost 5kg mean he mostly lost water and muscle, then some fat. Also some hairloss 3 month after
I did the same thing last September and I lost 5kgs during the 1week period and lost 2kgs after a month as we need to include calories very slowly into our diet
Today is 5th Day of my water fasting (Navratri) and I will eat after Kanya pujan on Navmi. I am feeling energetic. Sometime you will feel headache if you are using phone. Otherwise It is very peaceful experience.

Been on ketosis for over 2.5 years, went from 76 to 45 ! Liked myself , just not the pale face, it started looking like a dried grape 😅 Prolonged intermittent fasting.
@@rumi6396 While i was on ketosis, usually 14 hours minimum. Could go 2-3 days without food. Maybe coffee & dried nuts if i felt lethargic. Fruits also helped. I'd hive myself treats like a mini taco or pizza maybe every 90 days.

Hamare jain muni * Acharya shri hansratna suriji maharaj saheb * ne 6 month k fast 6 time kiye hai only boiled water for 6months no food, you can search on RU-vid. In Jainism we have fasting of even 1 month, where we don't eat anything for 1 month only boiled water. I have also done 8days fasting.
As someone who does prolonged fasts 2 or 3 times an year, can vouch for its benefits. However don't trust the weighing machine - a lot of what is lost during this time is water weight that will quickly come back once you stop fasting. And be very mindful of electrolyte imbalance... this is the key reason the guy experienced headaches and weakness. Take sugar free electrolytes

I used to fast often but then my diaphragm tilted and I got acid coming up my throat. I was suggested not to be on empty stomach for long. Therefore I wouldn't suggest that fasting is for everyone especially people with GERD or any other health issues. Get checked first before you go on fasting or special diets.

I already have low pressure ,when I started dieting and intermittent fasting for 4 days . By the day 4. I felt like almost fainted and severe headache and also I can't do any simple works . Is this normal or any problems with my body ?
You have to start slow make sure sugar is not high get your sugar under control. No sugar no flour. My last meal would be at 6pm and at 12pmI would eat again the first day that I did 36 Hours I hada light headache and leg cramps I always get them anyway not headache. I also had a transplant 8 years ago I take rejection medication and my cholesterols were bad sense I stared to fast I feel much better I have blood work every month they Improved I was having a rejection and is getting better.
I also have low blood pressure. I do 16/8 intermittent fasts 5 days a week. Wanting to faint and having headaches is normal when you first start. Drinking alkaline water can help. My body is used to fasting now, so I no longer get the headaches and fainting.
That’s why you break your fast with fruit and veggies . You don’t get off a fast and go into eating carbs again. You take it slow It definitely will help everybody body is different .
If you are thinking about losing weight remember that body composition is more important than weight to to look skinnier. You can get denser bones more muscle and gain weight and still look young whereas losing a lot of weight can still end up with you still looking watery and fat even though you lose so much weight.

I've done fasting and it's good for once in a while but definitely not the best solution to lose fat. You can instead shift to a salad based diet at least one meal a day. Consuming nuts and high protein food in breakfast, a whole grain meal in lunch and only steamed green veggies in dinner. I've tested this on me and it worked perfectly. Always remember, when you lose fat, you can't just lose it from specific parts of your body but it will be reduced from all the body parts where it's collected in excess amounts.
I just finished a 7 day fast as well. I did it for spiritual reason, but I noticed that Day 3-4 was the hardest. Day 7 was only hard the last few hours before I ate. 😅
That's what we do in jainism but the thing is we do it according to our comfort and willingness and body's capacity. It ranges from not eating an hour or after sunset to not eating according to your body's capacity

Its basically you hit ketosis in 2-3 days and after waterweight is gone. You need electrolytes from salt. Each day you lose 0.8-1.1 lbs per day. You’ll be fighting those sleepless nights, tiredness, and some headaches. Water just goes through you and you wont like it.

Hello so let me tell u my story when I started I was at 77 also so I didn't do any type of fasting all I did was not eat freid,sweet or packaged food with no rice,butter,ghee and I played football 2.5 hours a day as a result I lost 5 kgs in 7 days I continued this for a month and I lost around 11 kgs that month it was astonishing for me how effectively my plan worked

I recently learned that when we fast for such prolonged time , Our body breakdown fats and protein.... which might sound " yeh , now I'm not gonna eat and gonna loose weight " but actually the residues after breaking down fats and protein are Ketone bodies ... this ketone bodies get accumulated in our brain and leads to a condition called ketonuria .... and if you have diabetes it's so worse ..... As a doctor i would suggest you to not fast for more than 5 days .. After 5 days all the glucose, stored glycogen and non carbohydrates sources are used up and body starts breaking muscles of energy which is uncalled for ..
I produced small amounts of ketone by 24 hour by 48 hours if was in the normal range of ketone purple by 72 hours the ketone stripe was dark purple I only done 3 days max just ate after 3 days I will attempt 5 days I feel comfortable enough to do 4 I drank water with minerals and a dash of salt in my gallon to keep my electrolytes since I was losing it drinking plane water that was getting rid of my electrolytes that’s what kept my energy good.
Fact: The body first utilize the glucose, then glycogen. Then Fat. So, you do fasting and will see a significant drop in your weight. This is not because your body is breaking down the fats, it is because each gram of glycogen has 4 grams of water. So you do loose fat, but also water. And that create a false sense of loosing weight. So just have 500-700 calorie deficit and have some light strength training. And easily you can reduce 2-3 kg each month. And once you achieve your weight, just do cardio every day and exercise regularly. Just make sure that you burned atleast 500 calories. So you can eat more and not gain any weight
