@@folkenberger The levels he systematically boos fall into at least one of the following categories: 1. Includes a dev exit, sometimes as the ONLY way to actually clear the course 2. Requires finding a hidden block, more often than not placed at complete random with no clear indication 3. Includes troll-like elements (softlocks, pick-a-path with instant death if you choose wrong, Kaizo blocks to send you straight into pits, and so on) 4. Features a needlessly complicated way to reach the goal, leading to a confusing and annoying course that far outstays its welcome 5. "Little Timmy" levels that just spam enemies and bosses for the fun of it All of these are pretty obviously a sign of poor level design, unless you happen to enjoy troll levels for the troll aspect itself. Chances are, however, you won't be enjoying that in the context of limited lives.
@@s0lacee Nah, I think that one's more a joke than anything. I don't recall any level being booed _just_ because they happened to have Blowsephs in it.
It happened to Ryukahr a couple years ago or so, IIRC, with a level you had to do perfectly or fail, and was determined that the counter doesn't actually stop instantly, so it can cause frame-perfect deaths like that.
I played a really tight SE speedrun last year and came out of a pipe from the left side of the screen... I timed out and died while touching the pole (and getting the 1-up) from the left... and a couple times I touched the flagpole, the animation swung me to the right-side, and then I still died. So I believe there's a 2 frame window you can die after touching the flag. Not sure if that's only a thing if touching it from the left, however.
if the goomba did get to the end it would have hit some note blocks, likely one of those would have had a key, it's really disappointing that level had a dev route I'm glad panga boo'd it,
17:36 To the person asking: "why are people on the tubes saying panga cheated for 1000?" I'm guessing it's because he got a lot of help from chat instead of figuring out all the levels himself. He waited for chat to beat the level and give him the solution instead of using lives.
Which gets contradicted by having chat complete the level for him. You have to think what is the purpose of skipping? People mainly skip because the level looks like utter trash or is too difficult so they pull out early to not lose lives. What is the point of endless? To see how many levels you can complete before reaching 0 lives. By panga asking chat to show him the solution he is indirectly skipping the level. Panga does this specifically because the level is too hard for him or there is a dev route he cannot find & he does not want to lose all of his lives. This is basically the same as skipping the level but with extra steps. Instead of just hitting Skip, he asks chat to show him the solution, reducing his risk of losing lives and effectively skipping the level. This is why people consider him having "cheated". There are quite a few levels he likely would have lost all of his lives and the run ended. That is not necessarily a fault on him if the level designer is just bad and makes haha funny troll level. However it does invalidate the point of his own self imposed challenge to not skip over levels and to complete each one legitimately
@@kaylethejudicator2368 I mean it's not that deep. It's not like this is an official challenge with a leaderboard and/or money on the line. It's just for fun and content. At the end of the day his only rule is "don't skip any levels" not "beat all levels without skipping or getting help." So you can consider it cheating but getting help is not the same as not doing at all. Not in this game nor in anything at all really. But like I said, it's not that deep lol
panga when a level is above average but has a softlock that a player would have to go out of their way to get: Boo panga when a level consists of only a bowser fight with other boss spam: "not enough to boo it dude"
I feel like in the fire mole level, if you use the bomb to blow up the blocks at the end and go in the reset door there might be 1ups spawning. Just a guess.
5:00 I finally heard the Bass Saxophone in this song for the first time. You can faintly hear it on your (I want to say) slight right. At this section.
Whenever I make levels I dont just juice for no reason but I always put in at least 3 lives worth either in DLC or just as a reward for taking a harder path or exploring. I consider it rude to make a level that might just bleed lives with no 1ups.
*Day 40 of appreciating PangaeaPanga's fresh daily uploads on his main channel, and fresh non-Mario & In Real Life (IRL) content on his second channel. :)*
Every 2 level played, one Lil' Timmy level is found, Timmy levels are on the rise, we need to raise awareness to this issue, together, we can stop this.
That death... you went through the flag pole beneath the orb atop... how did that not count? Like I figured by the title that it would have been the usual frame by frame zeropoint... but no that was a death at -1 seconds left because the game gave you additional frames just to die. If he had lost his helmet in that Link Tutorial level by bombing the block instead of using the helmet... hahahaha... It would have been a play equal to DGR... how DGR always does stupid stuff because he forgets key things.
