I found huge ruins on a remote mountain on Google Earth so decided to go on a bikepacking and hiking adventure to go explore them in person and see what they were!

You found a mine with important history behind! That zone is called "La peña del seo" the mineral extracted from there was tungsten, and in the years of ww2 the nazis bought the mineral as it was essential for the war effort, some of that mineral was transported by train and went through a rail station called "Can Franc" wich is giant and impressive, in the middle of the Pirinees, that rail station it also has huge history during ww2 with spy networks involved! I encourage you to learn a little about this because it is interesting!

Nice information! I was pretty dumbfounded. It went from a crack to a subway system. Thanks!

It would be good if you spent some time with the old locals…they have the real history of the places and areas near where they live. My grandma was a world traveler and she told me the best holidays she had was when she would catch a train and bus to the end of the line and sit down with a cup of tea and chat with the locals…they’re the source of true stories and they love to share them. Thank you for sharing your journey. God bless and keep you. Jen. Australia. ❤️🙏❤️🇦🇺❤️

The Pyrenees are a beautiful mountain range. And now they seem to be half deserted because of the population transfer from rural to urban zones. I could be very happy living the rest of my life just exploring and rebuilding an ancient ruin.

Any idea on how old all these ruins are? The first buildings condition make them look so ancient but then I see painted walls and floor tiles and wall tiles as well and makes me believe they're not quite as old as their condition make's them appear. Great video and keep safe!
@rossmacintosh5652
@rossmacintosh5652 5 месяцев назад
I too think they aren't as old as they appear. Seeing where the mine seemed to be upgraded to a bunker however suggest the second world war.

Did a bit of research and found that the first ruin I explored was built in the 1860s and abandoned in 1920. It was an old mining village built for workers of the nearby mines. I am also surprised by how destroyed they have been in that time but I think as it is high in the mountains it must get battered by terrible weather most of the year

You have good ideas, you show us beautiful ladscapings and sceneries, but that is a mor of “ i think that it was “, maybe it could have “, i believe it may “. So i suggest you to do more research about the places you visit, tell us more about what the place really was, and tell us where the place is, só we can mame our research ok. Thank you for your adventures! A fan from Brazil.

I am half Spanish Basque I dont understand why you are hiding where you are - I was waiting to get educated. My Basque genes here in America know you are walking on my land - just saying.
