I really appreciate your doing this; not only because of tea interest but also because walking tours like this are an insight into China's village life.

thank you for putting this out. I didn't quite realise how much I needed to visit Jingmai specifically! Whilst we try to avoid 'touristy' things, that whole ski resort-tea mountain vibe looked pretty nice in this instance. I could imagine myself taking my time through Jingmai, stopping to brew tea in the forest, admiring the trees, nature, local culture.

I like how they protect their bees. Also a thing to do if the future is important to you. Beautiful trees.

I am constantly amazed by how beautiful it is in the tea mountains when I see videos like this. That soil must have been really rich to be able to drive a spike into it like that.

Thanks for explaining the tea garden set up in Jingmai. The background info on the village and people was interesting too. You make great educational videos!

Fantastic video. Thank you so much for sharing. With the natural approach the farmers are taking, are the trees grown in Jingmai pesticide free?

Thank you. Very nice video. Here in Kentucky we call the droppings from animals manure. Seems to be an acceptable term in most crowds, as in 'help me spread some chicken manure in the garden'. Although i was taught to be especially careful with chicken manure because it is very strong, so don't spread it too close to the plants. Also when i have planted similar small trees, we used what is called a 'dibble', but i agree, that soil did seem very loamy and rich. Writing this as i am drinking some 2006 Fuhai 7576 shou. Life is good. Tea on

The chickens themselves help spread the manure. They are free range and run all over the tea gardens.

I am definitely not a chicken person, but don't most people gather the chickens in the evening so they can roost? Makes the gathering of the eggs much easier and protects them from natural predators. Any luck finding my 220-240ml silver tea cup?

As far as I know they don't gather their chickens. I don't think there are many natural predators in the area. Maybe a couple wild dogs, but they have their own dogs to guard the place. We are going to silver town next week. I'll see what we can find.

Tea quarantine. There's two words I never thought I'd see together. The funny thing is that just yesterday I'd been wondering how particularly famous plantations keep their teas pure. Guess I have my answer.

The big tree with the bees is not a tea tree right? They don't get that big?
@CrimsonLotusTea

It's not a tea tree. I'm not sure what kind of tree it is. There are a couple of tea trees that approaching that size but they are extremely rare.
