Congratulations on getting your new China Drivers License and thank you for sharing yet another entertaining story. Judy and I have many fond memories of our visit to Kunming and wish that we were there now to share it again. Greetings to your entire family and best wishes for a successful trip.
Oooh age white tea?!? That's always a treat. I think I need to get myself some bai cha soon, because I can feel the urge now haha! Congratulations with the test, awesome seeing your updates on your adventures!
@@CrimsonLotusTea Now this is what I like to hear <3 I am looking forward adding some to my next order! White tea is such a lovely easy drinking tea. I am excited to see the CLT approved ones, cheers
Following this tribulation through your updates on discord had me riveted 🤭 Glad it finally worked out & thanks for taking us along with you on your journey!
Now this brings me back!!! I have missed that intro so much. I will be looking forward for the future content. it is always interesting when you have given us a look into the ins and out of tea production. If possible, perhaps you could 'interview' some of the people there, like have a conversation about certain aspects of tea production? Gosh I miss being in Kunming, it was such an awesome experience!
@@CrimsonLotusTea That would be so cool! I remember chatting for a good long while with Hai Lang Hao, and I would imagine a lot of tea professionals in Yunnan are just as interesting to listen to as him. Thanks for the recent uploads! It's been awesome watching you here on the YT format again. I hope the trip is going to be amazing and good luck with the test!
Ah missing Yunnan, seems like never ending specialities. Look into the mining industries (breaking open rocks sold in shops), mushrooms and local festivals.
I was just wondering if we would see more videos. I'm excited to see everything coming out. Would love to see more of the day to day life stuff like food and locations
The pouring test is invalid because the whole of the contents of the pot were emptied in one go, whereas the time most drips appear is when the pourer stops mid flow, which is the normal way a teapot is used. Also it is not possible to see if the pot leaked at the start of the pour because the teapot was overfilled and thus water was dripping off it as the pour began.
When you’re brewing tea gongfu style you generally pour in one single stream into a fairness cup. Then from there you’ll pour to individual cups. What I was attempting to show here was the quality of the flow from the spout.
Our little friend is directly at 3 o'clock. He's about 1/4 from the right side of the screen. It might be hard to see at this resolution. All you can see is a brown face in the green leaves.
Oh I got a story for you! About a month ago,I busted into a 100 gram Shou cake,it is heavenly. I recently attacked it from the other side, and the separated piece that I broke off just wouldn’t pull away! It was at that moment,I noticed human hair entwined amongst the leaves!!!! I brewed it anyway. Had a nice shampoo note. Just kidding🤣 It was a stupendous tea.
thank you for putting this out. I didn't quite realise how much I needed to visit Jingmai specifically! Whilst we try to avoid 'touristy' things, that whole ski resort-tea mountain vibe looked pretty nice in this instance. I could imagine myself taking my time through Jingmai, stopping to brew tea in the forest, admiring the trees, nature, local culture.
i started my tea journey a little over a year ago. ...i was thinking...i wanted the best of the best...SO...i started in India...it only took about three days for my world to be turned upside down.....i started looking at tea for health reasons...i have systemic mastocytosis, plus severe arthritis issues....ankylosing spondylitis ...im 61 and disabled because of this....its a horrible ....when i started ....American propaganda has its idiotic way of doing what it does....and Made in China seems to be this horrific evil to be wary of.....THATS OK FOR ME....cuz i know something..... most of the world has no clue....MADE IN CHINA....i know now....there is only one place in the world you can get tea....that ....its what i call the fountain of youth....and thats Chinese tea...i live in Portland Oregon....even in Chinese groceries in Portland know very little about real Chinese tea and Gong Fu Cha....and ive been obssesed ever since. ....My love is Hei Cha and Puerh...my favorite is liu bao...i have a 1992 liu bao coming to me from Guangxi...i also started to explore Lao Ban Zhang....very expensive...but i found a vendor thats got the real deal....ive also started exploring aged white tea....ive got quite a start in my tea vault...and its expanding....i also have five yixing clay tea pots....and i want more.....im suppose to be getting regular blood tests for my blood disease...its coming up...im sure that this has changed some issues that i have....the first time i drank pureh....i knew this was going to help my massive stomach issues...and inflammation...and it has....i once was a heavy drinker....that was the wrong idea....i live in Oregon...we have a great Cannabis industry....and both the tea and cannabis.....especially aged white tea....my body is floating....the Chinese call it the Qi....im very much in tune with my Qi
Just received my first order from CLT and I’m impressed by the care you took in packaging and it was delivered quickly! Thank you so much for the 2016 White Label sample you enclosed, I’m enjoying it right now… Deep crimson with a thick mouthful and a nice velvet mushroom taste with zero bitterness and a nice Cha on the tail end that I typically don’t notice with a Shou. Pleasant lingering after taste as well. One of the better Shou puerhs I have tried and I haven’t even broken into the “good cakes.” Honey Bomb, Altered state and Night Shift. I’ll get back to a review on those… maybe you can do a live stream sometime soon with your new stocks one at a time so we can enjoy them together! Thanks so much Glen and lamu! Keeo doing what you’re doing so we can keep drinking the good stuff! -Cheyne
So glad you came up on my feed! I have been looking for a reliable source of quality puerh here in the states. Just placed an order of samples from all your new arrivals and some others that sound intriguing. Looking like the beginnings of a beautiful relationship! Cheers from Roan mountain TN
@@CrimsonLotusTea So I was kinda Cha Zui when I placed my order and didn’t even notice, do samples deliver from China? Not that I mind the wait I just need some soon 😁
It's a good question and it depends. Sometimes I like something smaller and other times I want to use something larger. Usually I think I'm using something around 40-50ml.
Holy smokes this was helpful! I've been opening up less compressed round cakes for over two years now but recently came into possession of a frighteningly tight brick. Commence the near stabbing! This has given me a better idea of how to get this apart before I resort to a hammer... .
