Honestly, all I care about in this update is the return of the Town Square. Had they also included the cake shop minigame has a permanent addition, it would easily become my favourite update ever. ...I miss the cake shop.
I kinda wish the cake shop was still here. quiz games have a cooldown and blockbusters its not as fun. nothing can beat cake shop. getting the currency for cookie gacha is hard depending how much you play making the update pointless.

The gacha thing was something I expected but the thing that irked me was the eye color thing. That being locked behind the gacha feels weird to me. They should just have fun/elaborate eye colors/designs while having some base colors. Also- I had no idea MyCookie was even in the main kingdom at all until I watched this video- :'D It'd be cool if we could write like 4-5 phrases for our Cookie that they could say (within limits and reason of course)
Personally, even if they kept the gacha feature on the new oc system, I would have MUCH rathered it was just using gems to roll. Its just easier than struggling to get a whole other different currency
Something else i didn't like is that the outfits are all just normal stuff you have in real life, I was expecting things like unique dresses, capes, armors or overall just more creative and detailed outfits that a in-game cookie would have. There is also very few items that actually relate to what type of cookie/flavor they are, there's nothing that you can put on your cookie so that you can look at it and say "it's a chocolate related cookie" or "it's a plant related cookie", which sucks because it also takes away our creativity and forces us to make completely common cookies
While I think that it’s cool that you can make your own cookies in the game, there are a LOT of problems with it. My main problem with it is how limiting the customization is, there are no different body types and you can’t make the cookies dough color something like purple or red. Also because of how limited the customization is, my OCs CANNOT be made here, all of my OCs look abnormal in some sort of way and don’t have basic cookie appearances. I really hope that they add more body types and dough color as time goes on because right now it’s so limited that there’s barely much unique things you can do with your cookie. not to be that guy, but it doesn't make sense for there to be different body types. all the cookies' bodies look the same as each other because they're all gingerbread people.
I know the feeling, my ocs ends having too much or very specific details, my main self-insert/oc literally have very long, dragging on the floor, hair and clothing that ironically looks like Shadow Milk's, and she was created two years before beast-yeast. The designs they made doesn't have much appeal to me either.
@@cobaltcoast1105 No? We've had many different body shapes within the updates of cookie run. Gingerbrave is the standard/basic body, hollyberry is wider than most cookies, wildberry has more muscle on the arms, and creme brulee is thinner than some of the cookies. There are tons of examples I didn't include simply just because it couldn't be more blatantly obvious
I was thinking about making characters from things I'm a fan of, like: Miku, Monika, whatever the hell I wanted to make those characters in this but because of the gacha I can't make anyone!
It is strange that you need dyes to color nearly every gosh dang diddly darn thing, but mouths are fully customizable?? and that the dye colors are _randomized_ on top of that.,, Weaving seems overly risky as well imo :’] another worry is like. players being harassed over wearing the default accessories like roblox noobs n such
I would be more understanding if dyes worked like contacts, where you still pull for the dyes but it just adds to your colour selection, and doesn't go away once used. However the way it is where it is gone once used is the worst part about the dyes.
I want the weaving gacha so much everytime I get epic hair weave them for be the long one, I just get those mf short hair, I swear this game wants to turn me into a femboy💀

Eyes, Dough color, and hair color should all be accessible without a gacha wall. Anything else is debatable, but I think those things are enough. I'm definitely getting those purple contacts tho (grandmaster 1 for now)
Honestly my problem with it is the choco chalk is to hard to get just to spend it and get the same skirt OVER AND OVER AGAIN and then HOPE you get a good color RANDOMLY AND HAVE TO SPEND A FORTUNE TO CHANGE THE NAME
If we were given unlimited decos and hairstyles for our Cookies like how a Picrew works, I’d be a whole lot more onboard with this. But I was honestly expecting something like this too. There was no way we were just gonna get our own Cookie to design without DevSis putting some kind of paywall on it. It’s still extremely disappointing though, especially right after the shit show which was the Ancient+ idea that morphed into Ascended Dark Cacao.

I agree with literally everything you just said,and another thing I’d like to add : not only does the gacha have some pretty bad drop chances , but even the materials you need for the gacha itself (Choco Chalk) are considerably scarce in my opinion..they are not offered in lots of places ingame,which kind of sucks lol. But other than that,I have enjoyed this update,especially the Quiz Show game! :D

It cant just be me who is lagging during the quiz thing, that would prob be my least thing besides square town coming back (i still dont understand how to navigate quests) Like at the quiz, they give us a portal to go through, alright! but some of us have crappy asf devices so it takes longer to load and as soon as you get in, YOU ARE NOT EVEN SPARED A SECOND TO PICK AND WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH ANOTHER PORTAL AND THERE IS LIKE A CHANCE YOU CAN GET KICKED WITHOUT EVEN GETTING TO ANSWER ANYTHING 😭😭😭

I personally got a character I am happy with, but the hair and eye colour being luck based is just stupid. Also the weaving thing, I've used it only once. It's hard to get epic items, and I don't want to trade them away when I like them. Also, the chalk things you use in the gacha. Once you're done with the events, there's literally no other way to get them other than paying with crystals or waiting for the daily gift. I wish there was another way to get them.

Agreed, a simple way to fix this would be to just let hair and eyes be customizable without dyes and such, and make it easier to obtain the gacha currency and weaving materials
Yeah that's mega stupid. Customization of a oc character should NOT be restrictive like that. Gacha game or not, you NEED to at very least give the player the minimum which is like different colors for eyes, hair and clothes. I've seen other gacha games do the "rng dye" thing and it's so freaking stupid cause one thing is wanting to monetize your game. Another thing is being ridiculous
On the first day, I got a legendary hair dye. I was gonna put it on one of my hair types, but I accidentally clicked no and it deleted from my inventory so it’s left with the default hair colour.
My problem with the customization is that it's painfully obvious who this update's catered to. Like, Devsis, I have locs. What am I supposed to pick here???
i miss being able to just... go into this mode and saw a line of pure vanilla hammering the air while spamming "I CAN TASTE THE COLORS OF THE WHITE FLOUR"
What I wish there was in the new my cookie update is like they had a “custom shirt” or “custom pants” item to get so you can make your own shirt (I know if they add this some cookies might make stripper outfits to wear but still!!!)
If they desperately wanted the colour palettes behind a pay/gacha-wall they could have done it like Warframe (very random game to bring up and not a gacha but it's f2p and very good at not being cashgrabby) where you need to get/buy colour palettes and then you can use them to your heart's content or bring things back to the og colour. Make singular colours easy to get in the gacha and sets of 5 rarer, have catnip still sell them, bam, everything is easier now. If they desperately want to they can even have hair dye and clothes dye as different things! Like even that would be better
6:39 the funny thing about that I didn't even realize that my cookie actually existed in My Kingdom it wasn't until almost 2 weeks later when I was redecorating that I was like when did you get here. So for the entire time the event was going on I thought I only existed in cutscenes and the Town square so now I just got to ask once this event is over is the cookies just going to disappear along with everybody's money
I hate how people praise this, they could of made this not a gacha, but this is dev sisters, they don't care about the community, they only care about the money They only changed the cacao update because they were at risk at losing the game if not the whole company, they changed it to keep them up, still being p2w No gacha game will ever care about the community and people need to accept that, if they can see something that can in any way can be pay walled or some gacha they will do it I hate when the most simple things that you don't even use in terms of battling and progressing in the story that can actually help you, it's so useless Especially again with cacao, he was supposed to be a crystal jam all super epic and up supposed to have one, but found a way to make money with a gacha with it and did it

I have to stop you with the crystal jam part. That's only ever been implemented on legendaries. There isn't a single Ancient, Dragon, or Super Epic who had been even teased to get one. I'm not saying the awaking system isn't greedy, because it obviously is. I wish they could've added a soul-jam upgrading system which is similar to the crystal-jam system but with some different perks.

Can't make my OC on MyCookie, also another worst for me is due to how limited the customize it is, I can't make my Sona too on MyCookie. My Sona is like a very basic compared to my CRK OC, yet there's no pupil eyes (also eyes shape) that match my Sona + I don't have the twintail hair yet...
I dislike it also, it’s so annoying, I legit used a special dye on my cookie and it didn’t work because I didn’t expect the second pop-up after saying I was sure 💀 they should just let us color our cookie’s hair
I agree, what’s worse is that when I made mine what happened was that I used a hair dye and then it just selected it like you could’ve told me about it like why get us to choose the color just to make it whatever color THEY want and make my oc look TERRIBLE
One thing I also don’t like is how basic some of the options are. My OC Neapolitan cookie, for example, has technically 3 hair colors (because of Neapolitan ice cream which is Vanilla strawberry and chocolate) Yet it’s basically impossible to make him properly since you can only have 1 hair color. I obviously understand that they probably weren’t thinking about this since I guess not many ppl have multicolor haired OC’s, but I feel like it definitely limits your ability to create a new character.
The hair color I agree, like at least have you be able to get to choose the dyes you already get, except for the 3 layer pastel, that one can be like a very rare separate rarity but at least it'll be a guarantee. The clothing color, not much, clothing with one color is like in every gacha game customization system that has outfits, if anything I'm surprised they didn't make clothes dye, that would suck more. Also for the eyes, I honestly like that you have to participate in order to get the eyes, would it be better if you just have more eye color from the get go? Yeah! But since it's already here, it's probably a hint that they're gonna make a new mini game every time they want to drop a new eyecolor, it's not luck base thankfully, it's knowledge base.
I saw the red lollipop in the gacha and I thought it was a new voice (it looked like the lollipop-microphone-icons for the actual voices & the description said ‘sweet and a little edgy’ which could be used to describe a voice), I got it, and it was a hand accessory?? It’d be so cool if they could add more voices at least tbh and THAT WAS SO MISLEADING😞😞
the worst thing is that when you get the dye, it's not even guaranteed that you'll get that specific color in the dye. it's also a gacha in a way, which is just... stupid. i got the dye, why can't i choose the color i'm gonna end up with??
My biggest ick with this update is that there is barely enough to work with as a free to play especially if your luck is dog crap, I’ve been trying to get one singular hair from the weave and couldn’t because I didn’t have enough items to break down… AND TO GET THOSE ITEMS I NEED TO GACHA BUT I CANT GACHA ANYMORE BC IM OUT OF THE CURRENCY 😭 they really should just make the Gacha use crystals instead or at least make so free to plays can actually have an easier way to get more
I don't _completely_ like OC creation style, gacha, weaving (especially this), non-free hair dyeing. I don't really like suffering from something like LINE PLAY again 🥲 And I don't dislike the casual look but even LINE PLAY's clothes look better than the MyCookies'. Like why must we only have basic human clothes for our tiny biscuits?

When line cookie run added other cookies that's not gingerbrave, I was like "that's so cool!" When cookie run overbreak added gacha mechanic to get cookies, I was like "well, that's interesting." Now it's just too much for me, pass, package, lobby, they are doing so much to keep up with others.

I was so excited only to find out that I can’t hardly get anything at all because I missed the quiz event due to being so busy and now there’s hardly any way to get the currency to use the Gacha. I hardly have anything at all and I’m stuck with a hair color I don’t like too much. Plus the normal eyes aren’t that good I was hoping for different ones and I didn’t end up pulling a new one at all. It’s such a disappointment because it’s already way overpriced, I would never buy anything in this game because of how expensive everything is. I don’t have the kind of money for that

I think what really sucks the most is that You need to get lucky with the dye then GET lucky with the hair color you want. I wouldn't mind as it much if it was only just get lucky with the hair dye but the FACT you have to get REALLY lucky to get the color you want sucks.
This is why i save the gacha characters image files as reference for potential fan art or to make my own sculpture. Gachas are so full of suck, and worse yet you can get a special outfit just for the freaking meta to change. Like with Ovenbreak, I love Blueberry Pie but they made her so weak. Like wth?
The purple eyes are not for arena grandmaster, but for quiz game grandmaster. It is still extremely ridiculous as you said, I fully agree, but Devsisters aren't THAT crazy.
I mean you can manually get the items you want but it’s more expensive to get it then to gamble it and getting these token things are so hard for absolutely no reason
The weaving feature is just such nonsense, unless i get a second copy of a weavable item, i'm not sacrificing the item for a CHANCE to get something neat.
Bro I was thinking about deleting the game, mainly because I could no longer play it for 30 seconds without it crashing, but I waited to see what the oc cookie creation was like As soon as I noticed that you couldn't change the eye and hair color by default I uninstalled the game and haven't really thought about it since XD

I swear, i dont know if anyone else is having this issue but my phone absolutely refuses to even update, after 100 it just cancels itself and tells me it cant update, at thisnpoint i gave up, i try updating, reinstalling and restarting phone even if it doesnt work, but idk, anyone here have any ideas?
Alright Processed thoughts a bit late, but Here are my thoughts compared to sofie 1:15-2:15 Why can't I customize the hair however I want I hate how some hair is behind a paywall My thoughts: I somewhat agree. Paywall: I will note that the only hair that is explicitly behind a paywall is the ombre yellow to Mint Teal hairs as part of lemon soda package. However we should note that these exclusive recolours of hair and clothing that is already there, is a sign that more paywall for exclusive colours is on the way. Gacha-ified: I feel the only hair that should realistically be "Gacha-fied" is the multi-coloured ombre colours. If they must make all hair colours be a gacha, then make it work -like contacts where they don't disappear from your inventory once used. Sofie: "I hate that everything is behind a paywall" Me: While I agree to an extent, I also understand that there is going to be a P2W factor. So far it seems the only explicitly paywalled items are recolours of the special clothing. (In this case the Lemon soda package) but we will have to see Sofie: I have to be grandmasters in arena to get purple coloured eyes this is ridiculous me: I think you got confused? it's not a reward for being grandmasters in arena but the quiz game instead, while I do agree that grandmasters for an eye colour is a bit ridiculous I also understand that they want players to play the quiz and get a reward for being knowledgeable. Maybe Masters or Elites and up would be a better spot to reward the eye colour?
