The funniest thing about that statement is that most of those people don't even play Kazuya or fight against low level players who don't know the matchup

@@dingo9696 I also think none of them should be banned, but if they are gonna ban characters, Kazuya is far from the next character after Steve that should be banned. They should judge by how many new players got better results by picking up that character.
@@dingo9696 That’s the case with a lot of players when they find a character that suits their play-style more though. Kazuya is broken, there’s no denying that, but he’s far from being overpowered enough for a ban.

@@destruktow5891 No. If you look across the entire FGC broken characters that were banned, were banned because they didn't have bad MU's. Maybe one tough MU but not multiple losing MU'S. It literally doesn't make sense to call them broken if you can pick multiple characters that outright beat them: Kaz v Min Min, Sonic, Cloud.

Like. I think Kazuya is a terrible design. And I think he’s wildly unfair compared to a lot of the cast. But man there is a lot more counter play to him than Steve. Like we probably don’t need to ban Kazuya at all. Most top players can handle him.

ayyy, I main all 4 fighting game characters, but I’ve always used Kazuya the most but I’m replacing that spot for Terry. Terry is so fun to play as, I don’t know how to describe it other than satisfying except for when you accidentally SD when trying to recover
@@SanjiTwt if I’m gonna be honest, I just played Terry whenever I felt like it, but I would say he fairs well against Sonic, Olimar, Min Min (if you are careful) since Kazuya struggles with those matchups. But overall, I’d say Terry is pretty good against the majority of the cast except for a certain few.

People need to stop hating on riddles, I honestly think kazuya is not all he's cracked up to be. We've seen on multiple occasions that he gets absolutely eaten alive by characters with above average speed or projectiles as well as people who know how to combat the character in general.I think the whole "top player carried by the character" take is just flat out dumb when we've seen multiple top players get accused of this and prove it wrong every time by playing different characters and still getting fairly good results.
Hi Riddles, I was thinking I could possibly give some advice on when you’re recovering high. I’m not sure how well this would work in more professional matches but it works well for me. Basically, whenever you’re recovering high you tend to directional air dodge towards the ledge. This seems like it works well, but when you do it every time it’s really easy to read and get a punish on especially if your timing is slightly off. What I like to do instead, is not do the same air dodge every time, but instead wait until the opponent tries to attack, and then react to it with a neutral air dodge, and if you don’t snap the ledge then just use up b. This works on most moves characters can use to punish a high recovery, but is a bit harder for quick moves like down tilt or jab. Again, I’m not sure if it would be effective in more professional matches, because they would likely be better at mixing up their punish timings and also probably be able to go for a 2 frame if you up b after not grabbing the ledge. It would be cool to see you try this if it works!
I love smash players crying for kaz to be banned. He’s exactly how akuma feels in t7, and we tekken players don’t ban him because of how difficult it is to do the nutty combo damage. Also he’s harder than most smash characters and they took the tekken concept of difficult characters are made strong as a reward for picking up a character you have to put time into. You watch these matches and most players get kaz to high percentages before he manages to get going so it makes sense that he hits hard because against pros even getting close as kaz isn’t easy at all. If you want to make it more fair then make ewgf an actual just frame instead of having the extra frame he does because admittedly ewgf is a lot easier in smash than tekken to pull off. Edit* I bought smash when kaz got released and I came in as a tekken player and yeah ewgf is easy in smash for me it took me 3 weeks and I got into smash elite I also did the same with ganondorf in that time as well so i do understand the game some what but smash got boring to play quickly for me so i rather watch it but for sure kaz is strong but far harder to use than a lot of these smash characters
I always love seeing the Terry. Riddles is just so clean and explosive on Terry. That set against Sonix and Collision was the most hype shit I have ever seen
Tbh, I really wish Nintendo just really kept up Ultimate support. Dropping the game so soon after DLC was quite possibly the dumbest move they could’ve made, after the last DLC of the previous game, being Bayonetta, pretty much killed competitive Smash 4. They could just tone down some of the intagibility/armor Kazuya has or just make it so EWGF doesn’t interact with shields how it currently does and Kazuya would be 20x easier to deal with. However, even as he is currently, it’s really just a matter of learning the matchup. I can understand the Steve ban, but Kazuya is definitely not the first character after Steve that should be considered for a ban.
That is the hottest take ever. Riddles even said Kaz is better. Every top player says Kaz is better. Kaz has a win harder matchup spread and a way more "even" matchup spread than Terry.
Terry has better disadvantage and overall movement and approach options, but not nearly as lethal of a punish game as Kazuya. They both have advantages and disadvantages over another. Terry is better at threatening the space above himself, both with out-of-shield up B, and better ground-to-air transition, yet Kazuya forges combo routes whenever the opponent does something predictable.
@@FallingandRelaxing Top players are so emotional sometimes that they can’t be objective. I think the highs are very high with kazuya and the lows are very low. It’s hard to say exactly how good he is
I really dislike watching Kazuya, but banning him seems like a weird plan. He's really good, but most agree that there are other characters undeserving of bans that are better than he is. That being said, I've always loved your Terry, so I actually wouldn't mind the ban 😅.

Is this in Response to the Kazuya Ban? Because if it is I completely agree with you. It wasn't the character that were winning you Tournament results, it was yo entirely. You play a good game, and to be fairly honest I've seen you lose o many sets with Kazuya and sometimes you just dominate with Terry more. I hate the argument for Kazyua's ban is that he's carrying people because YOU are the clear example that competent players don't need Kazuya, they are not carried by Kazuya, and banning him will not change tournament results for most competent players who Co-main or solo main Kazuya. For christ sake Kazuya loses to Sonic! The Aegis, even in this video we see you struggle Against Tilde a very skilled Falco main. I seriously want players to stop putting Kazuya in the sane boat as Steve. He's not a problematic character, he's Just a solid character that's it.
Im pretty sure riddles does want to win no matter what. So Nmw he will always have at least a game with kazuya. That being said nmw i will always like the terry better because he looks a lot more fun and looks cooler. I watched riddles for his terry.
