@Madison Sanders I’m so glad you liked that bit! I feel like Anne never truly wanted to marry Henry, hell she refused to be his mistress and would only be with him if they did marry. I feel like Henry drove the divide between the two putting both of them against each other! Hence the reason I wanted them to have solidarity and love for each other knowing it wasn’t them it was Henry!

@@artye2160 omg thank you for replying to my comment you make such great animatics and I just feel like this animatic shows the love and care that all the queens feel for each other since alot of them never meet each other it really was amazing that they all ended up being really good friends in the musical and that you showed Kathrine Part and her love ending up being together. You are very talented

@USCAN14 yeh I know Anne was complicated. She was a smart and strong woman but also a bitch Anne knew about her sister and what Henry did to her and was afraid hence she kept him back for so long forcing him to divorce Catherine and marry her. Anne was awful to Catherine’s daughter Mary. Hell she and Henry wore Y E L L O W when they found out Catherine had died!!! Anne was a piece of work yet I have strong sympathies for her as she truly did suffer and her cruelty to Catherine was a result of fear. All Henry’s wives suffered. People can argue Anne of Cleves was fine but she must have been so sacred and only agreeing to the annulment peacefully because she knew what Henry would probably do if she didn’t (he probably wouldn’t have had her killed because she was a foreign princess and he needed allies hence the marriage and treaty) It’s just in the context of the musical it gives me hope and makes me see that men often are the ones orchestrating woman’s suffering and getting other women to join in in causing pain making historians point fingers at the wrong people. I’ve gone on a bit of a tangent here sorry lol 😋

I never bothered for learning about the wives (which I should've bothered about because I could have gotten into the fandom earlier like my bff) I only cared about how ridiculously thicc Henry was. (Apparently Henry's corpse exploded after he died .I don't know how that happens)

Probably because of the violence in his family and the fact that he completely reformed the religious landscape in Britain. His religious reforms lead to hundreds of protestants being burned under his daughter Mary's rule. Even King Charles I's beheading could be linked to the fact that he was married to a catholic & Henry VIII and Elizabeth's anti-catholic propaganda set the stage for his death.

Yeah, the testimonies of what happened while she was living with Katherine and Thomas is downright disturbing. She was 14, he was 40, and when someone tried to tell him his behavior was inappropriate he refused to change his behavior because in his words he 'meant no harm' by it. But honestly the testimonies paint a really upsetting picture of Katherine as well. I really don't know what to think about the allegations against her made by Cat Ashley- it's disheartening stuff, but worth looking into to help us understand the complexity of these individuals.
