You are forgetting that more Hunters are playing in the super league and doing well. There needs to be another team in nsw or qrl and the pool of talent will grow. This is the time.

I would correct you on that... Hunters won the QCup in 2014. Plus it's normal... to win a grandfinal and then take out wooden spoon the next yearand this is mentioned on NRL and QRL websites. Its part of the learning process.... you learn while doing it. But to wait until systems are in place, I'd say it would take forever. It's best start now and fix along as you go. I have been playing school boys rugby since the 90's when it was introduced. And look how far we are with it... still wayback...if you say we wait or delay....we will be forever this way. The performance of kumuls and the increased export of players to UK is a proof of Hunters pathways. So it's now or never ... we tweek and fix until it becomes perfect.... just my thoughts

I’m all up for a PNG team to be part of the NRL. There are many talented players in the local league, and it would be great to see them side against the Australian and NZ teams. But absolutely this must be funded and sponsored by private companies, and if not the PNG Government. The Australian Government is not a pay check.

Brother Fiji Drua came up through the NRC when they won the championship. PNG need to keep focusing on developing players in the lower grades. Fiji Drua has been a slow process over the years, people are just seeing the fruits now. PNG need to keep focusing on local talent. Maybe have a league competition with more local Fijian teams. What happens when you have a team in the NRL and never get a win? PNG has a long way to go 😂

If PNG teams can win the lower grades NSW cup and Queensland cup then you can talk about having a team in the NRL. Fiji Drua played in NRC and won their first two years into the competition. So much more talented players coming out of Fiji

But in my opinion is that PNG NOT Only they can produce very good talent of players for &/or in Rugby League Football but also that PNG can and do have the capability to produce their very own talent of PNG Players for &/or in the (3 Three) main other Football Codes all of our Australian Rules Football (Aussie Rules Footy), Rugby Union Football & finally Football as in Soccer of course. PNG Players can be very good enough to play in our (AFL) Competition in Australian Rules Football (Aussie Rules Footy) because they got the Speed, Ability, Agility, Energy, Strength, Height, and how very good to have an PNG Side in our AFL Competition & just imagine if they ever made it all the way to our AFL Grand Final at the (G) as in the (MCG Melbourne Cricket Ground) even to WIN their very (1st First) AFL Grand Final Title and even having s Number of very new PNG Players to play for any our AFL of both Victorian & NON-Victorian Teams of course.
