I'm grateful for the insight to sake production and culture. It's always nice to know where and how food and drink are made. Keep the videos rolling. Thanks❤🙏
Shizuka is the perfect presenter. Max style and substance... So down-to-earth yet so refined. I just love her voice... She could just podcast and I'd follow her anyway in her Japan's discovery journey. But she's the COMPLETE package... a lovely, beautiful young lady making our days better🥰 Shizzy, keep being you. You're a pure ray of light, we love you❤
Great Episode everyone! I was literally imagining a sweet, slightly syrup like sake with the strawberries, and a clean, sharper sake with the smokey chicken. I love the idea of a standing sake bar - grab a quick bite and a sake at a train station. A great way to taking care of being "hangry" - some food to settle the tummy, and sake to relax (or numb) the mind. We could use that at Union Station and some of the subway stations in Toronto. Thanks again Japan by Food team! Shizuka, hugs from Canada!
Shizuka was impressive in the sake descriptions themselves and describing the pairing on the palate . Shizuka comes across as a sake sommelier . #JapanByFood - this was a great shoot !
I love this channel so much. You’re my favorite host. And I just flipped out when I saw you in the trailer for the new season of Somebody Feed Phil! Can’t wait to watch!
Hi Shizuka! Great video! I am really interested in the sake that you said was super sweet! I wonder if I can find it in Hawaii? Oh and BTW, your last few videos seem to have a lot of alcoholic beverages....hmmmm! LOL! Jodan, jodan! Keep up the good work!
I have never heard of a person's tongue oozing out oil 21:28 regardless of what they just ate. Either Shizuka has a sponge for a tongue, or the high-grade Saki was finally having its intended effect. Shizuka sure works hard for her money, and I hope she got a bonus for this episode!
Thank you! 😆 I was talking about how the oiliness of the chicken gently coats your tongue, and how the sake effectively cuts through the oil on your tongue to create a harmony of flavor!
@@ShizukaAnderson You are a consummate professional and in no need of a wisecracker Italian telling you how to do your job! You work hard for your money, and we better treat you right!
