Please try this and you won’t make your butter sauce any other way I PROMISE you. I learned this from my Cambodian father. In a small sauce bowl add a piece of garlic smash it one with the flat part of a knife do the same to a ginger chunk then add a big scoop of butter add some lime a little salt and a little black pepper if desired and microwave it. It infuses all the flavors together it’s so AMAZING! I pour that on my rice and everything. You can eat it with lobster and fish anything .
@@user-kc7tx2lk3w ginger a common staple ingredient in a lot of Asian foods and sauces that’s why we use it hence why it differs slightly lol not everything is European
Crab fat with fresh rice is 🤤 it's family time, feeling good in your own skin, and having a ratatouille moment in a room full of raucous people all at the same time ☺️
I’m from Maryland and I suck all the crab fat, mustard as we call it from ALL crabs!! All that gooy stuff gets eatin or slurped right out of the shell!! Nothing goes to waste by MARYLANDER! 😂😂
Well u bout to get your mArYlAnDeR card REVOKED bc that mustard is basically the crabs poop its where all the impurities are stored and we dont eat that shit 😂 idc what nobody says the only thing u should eat on a crab is the meat . Did u forget crabs are bottom feeders lol
The "crab fat" is actually the hepatopancreas, which is a gland similar to humans pancreas and liver. Its not poop like some people are saying. Doesn't make it any more appealing to look at, but I'd probably try it now that I know what it is
@@princessdenise8659 it's really called hepatopancreas is the correct term the organ responsible to filter all the impurities from the crab. No different from our body in the damn toliet it's just in the crab .....that clearly not crab fat😂
Mmmm yummy!! Can you make me some too please? 🙏🏼🥰 I would love to see or get recs of good food places to eat in the SF BAY AREA please. My hubby and I are always looking for good date night eats. We’re in Antioch.
Crab is a fav. My cookbook is now filled with recipes you’ve shared. I especially enjoy when you share recipes from your culture and your stories. As you and your family are realistically refreshing. 🤗💕
That looks so good and nice I would make it although my mum is busy and I’m too young to be cooking fancy stuff even if I sound mature but soon enough I will be trying ur cucumber spiral recipe looks ❤
Just wanted to say that I love your clips. Just a little suggestion, maybe try a little Japanese saki and spring onion with your melted butter and drizzle it on your rice..
Love crab, I could pack it down like no tomorrow. However I live inland so it is extra expensive. Sadly means it is reserved for special occasions only. It's not all bad though, that just means when I do get to have some it tastes extra good!
Growing up in the black community, we love what you call the 'fat' and made a 'sauce' out of it. I love the way you're adding rice, gonna try it that way 👍👍🏿
@@sierrab5904 they call it the 'mustard' where I'm from 🤣... Definitely a delicacy if you will ... Also, some might say the waste of a fish is still better than other things people eat.
I love eating crabs with melted butter and rice. That’s how Filipinos eat crabs too together with green salads like the sweet potato leaves salad mix with tomatoes, onions, chilis, vinegar and soy sauce. Yummylicious!
