I faced a former Grandmaster and two times International Master Igors Rausis from Latvia. The legendary Grandmaster is known to the internet for his cheating scandal but what internet doesnt know is that Igor is actually a very charismatic and personable!
I had a chance to challenge Igor at @charlottechesscenter No idea what he is doing here...
So, evidently, he played the Latvian Gambit that I thought was a complete scam and even strarted a new game, but then the "accidentally passing by" Grandmaster Olexandr Bortnyk said the line really existed - so I realized that the legendary Rausis was in fact telling the truth!... Watch the game till the end to see who actually won!
