LOL, kid was right. With the negative disconnected it will not short the battery if you go positive to the frame. It does absolutely matter if the negative is connected or not. The whole reason why you connect the positive before the negative, so if you do touch the frame when connecting the positive with negative disconnected nothing at all will happen. Thought you were joking, but you seemed dead serious. lol

Absolutely the old Pete deserves some love. Been looking at it in the background of several videos wondering when you might be getting around to it again.

If he earth's out that battery with the spanner, tell him he'll shit sparks for a month, and if you want to wind him up, send him tye the stores for special order Tartan Paint.
