Honestly, showing the journey this way makes it so much more coherent than being like “this is how attempt 1 went, this is how attempt 2 went, etc”.

Honestly, what I love about these hacks is that it actually makes you feel like you're fighting against trainers who have built their team to be the best, and are completing their own journey.

I really like the narration and explanation of the losses by progression through the game, as opposed to just showing the loss.

I love how in an emerald Kaizo nuzlocke even the random mob trainers that are on every route are memorable and feel like mini bosses. This guys out here naming trainers as if we're gonna have any idea who: "Bird Keeper Billy" was or remember him, but because of his nuzlock rules, every single one of these side characters need to be respected and dealt with properly!

Around 34:30, changing the blind rule, and earlier in the game to increase the level cap by a few levels to increase the viable Pokemons pool. It's really great. It doesn't diminish the accomplishment. It was great to try without changing the rules first to learn if it's doable in a reasonable way or not. I really liked that.

The way this video is structured, the insight given at every turn, the plot twists, the incredible final stretch with the HK soundtrack that honestly sounds like a villain origin story in the making... This is perfection, a didactic yet super entertaining video, I love it!

I really appricate the minute detail of saying "probably the best nuzlocker in the world." I've been getting very tired of seeing youtube titles like "best _____ in the world?" or "World Record?" There are not many people who do what Jan does for a living, so the chances of someone being better are slim. However he still tries to be as honest and accurate as he can in a world full of attention grabbers.

This was really well edited. I wasn't expecting to be that interested in it because a lot of your old edits get boring after the start. The idea of showing losses through the game and going over how many attempts you lost at each thing was really good.

The interesting format going from game progression to chronological attempts for this video really shows how much work went into the video, really looking forward to the winning attempt video despite seeing a lot of it on the daily channel and the finale live. What really amazes me is that the names were still creative in so many of the attempts. Attempt 50 with Muxico City the Grimer, Hopenhagen the Hoppip and Torkyo the Combusken gave me a good chuckle.

Such good and painstaking! editing to have the narration in chronological order- holy It is possible but one way I've seen it done is basically looking up every trainer battle, relying on good encounters, submitting to pp stall tactics, and gaming the ai so it will use predictable moves I really appreciate your 'try my best see how it goes' approach though - best of luck for 151!

I've first met this Nuzlocke videos through Flygon by youtube recomendations. It was a matter of time before I met PKChal in the middle of Emerald Kaizo. I've also never knew that this type os roms existed, so I was very curious and started following along. And I tell you, it was a long time since I've been so interested at a guy playing videogames. I got so hyped and downed at so many moments. The so waited victory at run 151 was a feeling of happiness that I've never felt watching gameplays. Dude, this is the first video I’ve seen out of your channel. The way you have set this video up has had me, who has an unbeatably short attention span, invested for the whole 76 minutes. Other than that, though, I commemorate you a MASSIVE amount. This challenge is hard as shit, and it was so interesting to watch you develop over that large timespan, through your emotions, through your straategies, through your sub count, even how you end up naming your pokemon; it’s one of the most interesting parts about this, in my opinion.
