it fascinates and disturbs me how much the innies are treated like children at a daycare. from the saccharine way that milchick speaks to them, the toys and prizes they get for doing their job, the games they play and events that are planned for them, the punishment of having to sit in a room and repeat something over and over, the way they call their superiors "mr" and "Mrs", even the name "innie" sounds childish.
Totally sympathies with that first scene reaction. I get the same thing just when reading stuff like that. Lightheaded cold sweats, almost a panic attack. Not fun.
