Greetings, AC Family/Ant Lovers! This video was super fun to make but extremely gross to film. Hope you enjoy this week's episode, and if you did, hope you can LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE, and SUBSCRIBE to the channel to join our ever growing AC Family! Thank you for watching! Love you, guys! Xoxo PS - Keep on watching until the very end for the hidden surprise... Q: What other things should I feed our fire ants? Been thinking of a good Halloween episode this month!
I work at a local pet supply and wellness company. There has been an increase in kids and adults who have an interest in any keeping, and many of them specifically have mentioned your channel. I have been watching myself for a couple of years now and you are very informative, it helps me with my job and also helps these up-and-coming ant keepers.
i just have to applaud your level of video production it always feels like I'm watching a little documentary or movie. I just get lose in it and time flys by thanks for all the awesome content over the years.
@@AntsCanadaoooooo I can't wait! Btw, I really really hope to make your October meetup in NJ! Idk if I can afford the tickets, but I'm one of your first subscribers and have always hoped an event like this would happen near me, so I'm doing everything I can and keeping my fingers crossed! My son's would love to meet you too! 😃🤞🏼😁

💖That would be so awesome... and an early birthday treat for me (October 24th)... but sadly it's a bit too far from South Carolina... and of course it's in the middle of the school term... so hard to get away. One day though!!! One day!!! :-)
I have to admit, this isn't normally my favorite genre of video. But you have such a fun flair for storytelling! Making something as "simple" as a colony of ants into a full-blown drama is fantastic! I can't wait to see what happens next!
My son was watching the video where the fire ants started making reproducers(?) And now I have to know what happened to them. I can't believe how many times my mind wanders to those damn ants 🤣
That's just amazing how quickly this colony grew from one queen to a veritable army of fire ants 🐜! It's surely due to the huge amount of food that you provide them. So lucky. Can't wait to find out where they moved to. 🐜 love ♥️ forever ♾! 👍💯✌🇨🇦
I love how Antscanada refers fire ants as “tiny velociraptors” cuz of their aggression behavior 😅 and definitely your content quality is almost surpassing National Geographic
Lets be honest....this ant colony will never die and when Antscanada passes or somthing they are going to be terrified by his colonies if i saw this in someones home i would honestly be terrified these things could litteraly overwhelm a person by this point
It's not a coincidence they started at the feet. Your hive has swarm intelligence experience dealing with avian feet processing...fascinating as usual thanks, AntsCanada
Ants Canada, your videos have inspired me to raise my own for 8 years now. I love your content and I couldn’t ask for a better ant RU-vidr, coming to you from North Carolina.
you made me start ant keeping i’ve been watching you for so long i saw your vids in 2014 and i’m still watching today you are the best. it’s and love forever ❤ 🐜
@@AntsCanada i love your content, its soothing. It helps me calm down during my disconsolate times. Thank you, your one of my idols and i look up to you
Sisza:Sisters of the crimson knights are god has gave us a meal we need to feed Maiha:we must feed Bunsa: but queen scarlet is hungery In the queen chamber: Queen Scarlett:so the gods have gifted us again Perfect... LIKE FOR A PART TWO
6 years later, today we are going to feed them a WHOLE COW, A ENTIRE CORPSE, AND 16 POUNDS OF INSECTS, LETS SEE HOW LONG IT WELL TAKE THEM!!!! *finishes in 3 days*
I actually have seen local pigeons and doves with similar wounds on their throats and chests, that’s the sign that they were attacked by another bird like a hawk or falcon. Surprisingly enough they can typically survive the encounters provided that it’s not too deep of a gash , doves and pigeons are very resilient.
I think the gelatinous blob when you turned the bird over, above the tail, was its oil gland. I'm sure alot of fluid seeped out of that pore over time and then congealed
I randomly met a fellow AC family member today. I was waiting in a medical facility's waiting room when I heard a familiar voice from an audio device at the reception desk. The voice while familiar didn't click until I heard that voice say "Crimson Knights."
Lets thank Mikey and the pigeon for the delicious food that he has fed my royal kingdom, the Crimson Knights, thank you kind Creator of Worlds. We have enjoyed your suprise.
Wow this amazing antsCanada I have been watching your videos for YEARS I’m pretty sure the first video I saw of yours was when you put pitcher plants in your ant colony to reduce there numbers. And now you have an entire building of ants and land for ants you have come so far and never failed to teach us and entertain us.
We’d love to know what happened with the teaser you left previously about them producing winged ants to spread new colonies. And what ever happened to the ant riding face huggers?! We never found out what species they were, if they were just passengers or some form of parasite.
I can’t wait for the cow video I’ve worked with them all 14 years of my life but to see how long it takes ants to devour them would be cool with a intro similar to this coming up “welcome AC family in this video we will be giving my fire ant colony the crimson knights a treat which is a cow carcass donated by my neighbor, the cow died of natural causes and did not suffer any pain during death so rest well my friend”
I’ll be honest, there really was quite a few surprises in this video, I don’t blame people for thinking it’s both disgusting and surprising! As for an idea of a Halloween feast for the fire ants, or maybe even the marauder ants, I suggest 2 or 3 mice covered in both honey and jelly. That would surely be a great idea! Also, you know how ants can’t see the color red? Well to make the ants be able to eat the jelly I suggest giving them orange or black jelly that of course have different flavors, if you ever have them that is… I hope you do though… I’m not sure what flavors of jelly you have. 😅🫤 Side note: If anyone is reading this comment my goal is to get 150 likes because why not! 😉🤞
Good day AntsCanada. I always enjoy your videos and it's amazing to see how the ants go on with their lives and reveal their unique behaviors. I'm from South Africa and have an idea of what you can do to prevent escapes. We have an insecticide called Fendona 6 SC, which we sprayed around our door and window frames. Any incest that walks over that barrier dies within minutes. 9 months was passed since my father sprayed it and the barrier was still active enough to kill a scorpion before it got into our house. We also don't have any ants crossing that area where we applied the Fendona. But feel free to investigate more about this insecticide and if you are able to find it in your stores. Hopefully it will prevent future ant escapes and prevent unwanted ants to enter.
I just thought that maybe the next thing you could feed one of your ant colonies could be some regional fish? As in those native to the ants' area in question, just in case a type of fish might be unhealthy to a species of a different location; we wouldn't want to risk doing that to them. I think it would be pretty interesting to see how they might like some fish meat. 👍
I would like to know how you plan to move this colony if it were necesary. It wouldnt be easy to take out the queen from the volcano if the colony get sick or you just need to move them out because a problem in the terrarium Edit: well, i guess my question was sort of answered
@@AntsCanadaA lot people think thats the end, but just like how the stars have an end to their lives, what's left over always get recycled into something else. Everything will always be recycled into something else. It's all just energy in one form or another, which can neither be created nor destroyed, just transformed. In this case: dead bird = food for other creatures.
I'm partway through and expecting the plot twist at the end to be; Ants stitch up the wound on the bird whilst he is still frozen, then work to warm him up and send him on his merry way once he does thaw. Such nice ants
Maybe you could release a insect that can fight back to the fire ants, so they can have a little more distraction, tough keep it small enough. We don’t want the crimson knights and their queen killed 😅.
